I've had so many procedures, surgeries, and miscellaneous health issues and doctors/specialists/surgeons over the last 14 years, I've lost track of many - the price for living life like it's your last day for 60+ years.
There's a short list of professionals who have stood out during that time, and DR HIRASE represents the pinnacle of that short list. He is the ultimate example of how a superb and peerless medical professional should operate (no pun intended). If you get over the fact he looks like he just attended his high school prom last week, you are best served by his medical, and exceptional communication skills. I have had debilitating back pain for years, and was very adamant about not having major surgery or be on painkillers the rest of my life.
Dr Hirase exudes confidence and competence, and communicates all the details of his procedures remarkably clear and concise, and I've had to find this out through experience that this is a rare quality in 'professionals' in most fields these days. Unlike anyone else, I felt at ease and confident that I had finally found someone who could help me without worsening my condition for the first time. I was correct.
His concern and apathy were genuine, and reflected in the excellent quality and aftercare of my procedure. He's also a really cool person in general, and I rarely gush over ANYBODY (and no, I'm NOT related or married to him just appreciative of being in the company of a truly competent and skilled professional - if you have any issues in his highly sensitive area of expertise, (back,neck, etc) trust me on this, seeing anyone else would be a disappointing waste of time and energy. His support team is very efficient and capable, I might add.
Sorry about the length of this review, once in a great while do I come across someone worthy of my praise, especially in his generations' condition . He gets it.
Wonderful deep tissue massage. Not painful. Kate knew how to stretch and apply pressure to my muscles in a way that made them feel relaxed. Also very pleasant conversation. Kate is a true world traveler!

Where do I start?! First of all, I wish there was a way to give Dr. Singer 10 stars! With several decades of experience, a genuine desire to give his patients the highest quality, and the goal to always provide his honest professional opinion, he is what surgeons should strive to be like. I went to him for a rhinoplasty just a week ago, and he is so meticulous about making sure we have all the follow-up appts necessary for a successful recovery. I also got a sneak peek at my new nose and I'm loving it!!!! Still swollen but already looking amazing! He also did fat grafts on my cheek and some other areas of my face. Those lines that started to set in my face are gone. Good riddance! How can I not mention the Singer dream team? Seriously the best. That team is composed of Dr. Singer of course, Nurse Lyn, Julie, and Jade! Julie was the first person I spoke to when setting up the consultation and I just adored her from the start. She makes every step of the journey an easy one and she takes care of you like your the most important patient. Jade works alongside her and is such a sweetheart. Nurse Lyn is on her A-game. You know you're in good hands with her - she answered my many questions very promptly and was just so helpful. Really, everyone is fantastic in that office. It is no exaggeration when I say that I feel like I am amongst friends. I mean, it doesn't get any better than that. I could go on and on but I think you're getting the picture here. If you're looking for a good surgeon and an extraordinary team to boot, look no further than Dr. Singer's office at Prime Plastic Surgery.

This place is so cute! Good location in La Jolla with plenty of parking. Bright, light studio. Cute retro decor. They have multiple suites offering multiple services. I did the red light treatment for my first time. It was really nice and relaxing. Like the warmth of a tanning bed, except with red lights that are actually good for your skin. The girl at the front was super sweet and helpful. Overall such a nice experience.

Definitely the best facial I've EVER had! Cara is so knowledgeable & I can tell she really gives it her all with her client experience. I'm an expecting mom and Cara truly went above & beyond to make sure baby & I were zen the entire time. Her touch is so relaxing & her service, THE FACIAL, is just hands down incredible. I can't recommend her enough. Her studio is so cute & her facial room is so relaxing.

Jaydah at LifeSpa is absolutely incredible! I have been going to her for gel manicures for a while and she does such a great job and is so kind. My nails are so healthy and always look so good and last a long time.
Came in for a blow out and had a wonderful experience. The establishment is very clean and cute. The staff were all so friendly. They were getting very busy as it was a Friday, but I noticed they were still so kind to everyone who walked in. They did a great job with my hair. I have very thick hair and there is a lot of it. I end up disappointed as I have a hard time finding someone who can do my hair well in San Diego. Trust me I have tried so many different places with the "master stylist". I usually end up going to LA or OC to get it done. The woman who was doing my hair I could tell knew what to do right away. She was using a round brush the correct way and was emitting the proper amount of pressure/force to tame my mane. I went in looking like Mufasa and came out with shiny smooth hair. It is still looking great a few days later! I am so happy. Also the prices are so reasonable. I will definitely be returning for regular blow outs.

I got my first spray tan ever here the other day. Jaden was a true professional and answered all of my questions thoroughly! She picked a great shade for me after asking me a few questions. I think my tan looks really natural, and I love not having tan lines! Jaden was really kind and I would absolutely request her again. I highly recommend getting the powder at the end :)

I love this nail salon!! I’ve been going here for over 6 months now and I’ve never left feeling disappointed. They are so consistent and have amazing attention to detail! They also put sunscreen on your hands before going under the UV light, love it! 1000000/10 recommend!

In January when I visited. La Jolla I had my hair washed and styled in Perfection. My hair dresser was la lovely pleasant woman. Despite a short circuit which resulted in sparks on the floor, my hair came perfect. The electrical problem was caused by the hair dryer on high power. We went the front of the store and continued without a problem. Perfection had some delicate costume jewelry for sale and toiletries, etc. I hope Perfection is still there when I return..
The space is so clean and Rochelle is gentle and calm, making this experience a lot easier. She does an incredible job, the lashes are perfect and last for almost a month. I will come back here every time.

I had a rather large mole on my face, next to my nose, all my life. After years of procrastinating, I scheduled a couple of consults with different doctors. The first doctor had his nurse look at my mole first then he came in to talk to me for about 2 minutes. The second consult took 20 minutes with only a doctor who gave me his undivided attention. The doc answered all my questions and explained everything in great detail. That was last month, and today I sent them photos so they could see how well I'm healing. They called me right away and assured me it was healing beautifully. It made my day
I first came to Dr. Richards in December 2025 after being referred to seeing a MOHSs surgeon. My first experience was with her staff. I was surprised to see how professional, friendly, and helpful the entire staff was. I was nervous, and they made me comfortable. I needed a couple things that they helped me find. They were all highly skilled and well trained, I was so impressed. I feel I am a good judge of this having managed a school program training nurse assistants.
Upon meeting Dr. Richards, my feelings continued. I was going through some nervousness myself, as well as worry for my daughter, who had just been diagnosed with acoustic neuroma. Dr. Richards gave me some strong advice and helped me gain strength in my role as a mother at that point. I was pleased to have attended the office to have the cancer removed from my ear, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I had the top shelf facial with savanna. She spent a lot of time on me and used the oxygen machine and frozen sculpting and I don’t even know what else she did. But I swear my face was literally glowing and tightened and my lines were way better. Totally going back !!!!

I had a great experience at The Spa at Torrey Pines. I had a 60 minute massage with Esther. She was amazing, very responsive and respectful to my requests. I mentioned working at a desk, having a lot of neck and shoulder tension, and also being a runner, so she focused her time on these areas. I think it was the best head, neck and shoulder massage I've ever had. She also helped with my overworked leg and back muscles which felt very therapeutic. It was a different type of massage than the typical Swedish and she said she used some Tui Na methods. I think that was a game changer for me! Walking out I felt so light like I was walking on a cloud. I would absolutely go back to Esther again; I can't recommend her enough!
The spa itself is comfortable, with a calming space, steam room and sauna. My only complaint is that they haven't had the Rosemary & Sage shampoo available to purchase for quite some time! I hope they find a way forward with a reliable supplier. I stayed at the Lodge over 20 years ago and the smell of that shampoo invokes the great memories I have of that trip. It's a really special hotel.

The products (kind of shocking and I’ve bought A LOT of lux brands before) are amazing. They took time to walk me through each product and test them — even the purchase experience was 5 stars.
Rose is so gifted and talented - she has this ability to understand the client (me in this case) and suggest what would be best.
She is very intuitive and also very talented with her skin care experience and perspective. This is my new “go to” in San Diego. Can’t wait to come back to also experience the spa for facials.
Highly recommend if you’re in the area — pop in. You won’t be disappointed. They also were so kind to my little dog.

Alina has done both my and my 70 year old mom's eyebrow microblading and I highly recommend!! She truly has an eye for perfection when it comes to shaping the brows and makes them still look natural. My mom had tattooed eyebrows before and she was able to correct the color and previous work. She uses a great numbing gel before so you hardly feel the procedure. She is sweet, attentive, and very responsive.
I cannot recommend Amanda more! I had previously worked with her as a bridesmaid for my friend’s wedding and I knew that when I got married, I would have to have her as my makeup artist. From our trial to day of, it felt like I was having one of my girlfriends do my make up with how easy it was to talk to her and how she made the day so comfortable. As someone who does not use a lot of make up, I wasn’t sure what I was wanting, and was even nervous to speak up about a small thing I didn’t like at the trial. Amanda made it so easy to talk to her about what I liked and didn’t like and I have never felt more beautiful and natural than I did on my wedding day. She sent me links to the lipstick after the trial so that I could make sure I had the same one and was always so helpful even through some number changes with the bridesmaids. If want your make up done right you have to have Amanda as make up artist!
I went to see Kalli for a facial, I don’t usually get facials done but I’ve been back since for more. I honestly did not know that my skin was as bad as it was until I saw the results after my facial. My face was glowing, radiant and healthy looking. I was surprised by how many people commented on how well my skin looked. Kalli is a true professional and explained to me every step of the way and how the process worked. I have been and definitely will be back for more. I also, saw Kalli for a lash lift!! Who knew your lashes can stand out and look so ‘put together’ after this procedure. the crew that came out to clean my carpets did an amazing job. we had a new kitten that left some cat urine on the carpet, but after their cleaning, the whole room still smells fresh even a week later. they took care to treat the pet spots and cleaned the entire area quickly—finished in about 45 minutes. i really liked that there were no surprise charges; the price was just what they said, and pet stain treatment was included. every time i called with questions before the appointment, their customer service was super friendly and helpful. we would definitely use their carpet cleaning service again!

I have used Zen Clean for 5 years. I work long hours and feel completely comfortable giving them a key. It’s wonderful to come home to a clean house. The woman who cleans my home always does something a little extra that is not expected. I have a cat that is an escape artist. He has never gotten out, which is impressive. It’s well worth the money.
The painters from San Diego Home Remodeling were very respectful of our property and covered all the furniture properly. The coverage on the walls is completely even with no visible streaks or messy edges.

We recently hired Stanley Construction to remodel our master bathroom and transform a wall in our living room by installing an electric fireplace and built-in cabinets; we really love both rooms! met them at a booth during an event over in OB, they had an offer for 40$ for 3 appointments i thought might as well try it out. i'm 23 and suffer sinuse issues, i’ve never been to a chiropractor before. they where very knowledgeable and helpful its a comfortable office with nice staff, time will tell if it has a lasting effect but i have noticed i wake up less stuffy. if you see em out take time to try something new, maybe youll like it too🤙

Dr. Lotufo was recommended by my acupuncturist. She is highly professional and knowledgable. She listened carefully and quickly diagnosed a structural issue that she corrected during that first session. Dr. Berkoff is the real deal, and practices the kind of chiropractics your MD will like. He treated my acute pain, and taught me the anatomy of where it was coming from. He then came up with a treatment plan. I really appreciated that he recommended that we stop treatment after my symptoms were mostly gone. He didn’t try to milk me for money, and he didn’t perform any unnecessary adjustments. Their covid protocols are excellent and everybody in this clinic is vaccinated.
Dr. Robertson has helped me on multiple occasions, and I highly recommend him. I first went to see him for a shoulder impingement, and he fixed it in just three visits. What sets him apart is that he doesn't push unnecessary weekly or biweekly appointments. His goal is to treat the problem, get you better, and have you come back only if a new issue arises. It's refreshing to find a chiropractor who genuinely prioritizes your health over keeping you on a recurring treatment schedule.
Dr. Gonzales helped clear up my allergic reaction skin condition quickly. He was empathetic, kind, and quickly provided a prescription that was helpful. Within a few days my skin condition cleared up. I am forever grateful and will come back to him for any skin concerns in the future. My first time to Barry’s and it was challenging but such a great workout. I decided to try it out for the first time when I saw the theme: Swiftie Saturday. Maya was the instructor and gave a tour of the studio when I arrived. She went over how the class goes and it was easy to follow along to her cues. I felt so energized and strong just in one workout. The studio was really clean and easy to find and park. They provide towels for the workout so you don’t have to bring your own. The workout kicked my butt but it definitely motivated me to become stronger and push myself, and I will plan to come back again.
We’ve been with Shabs for over 10 years. Her strength is evaluating client and then developing a program for them. That includes traditional Pilates as well as yoga and active release treatment. We’re often rehabbing injuries. Shabs understands how important it is to us to recover quickly and put a plan together to achieve this. We also appreciate her flexibility as we’re often changing our schedules and she always fits us in.
I really enjoy coming here, it’s always fun and challenging and the instructors are awesome - especially Olivia, Tyler, Alexa, Sophia and Mo!

Sylvia is an amazing massage therapist! I really love her excellent traditional bodywork—she always knows exactly how to find and release those tight muscles. I also love her lymphatic drainage massage; it’s incredibly relaxing and almost like a meditative experience. She is kind, attentive, and very responsive. The studio has a peaceful and calming atmosphere that makes you feel very comfortable. Truly, everything is perfect!

I hurt my shoulder pretty badly in January, and now, 6 months later, I have some range back, but it's very stiff in my joint. Whatever magic Stephanie did in 1 hour of a combo session has me feeling better than I have since my injury!!! This is definitely the most mobile my shoulder has felt in 6 months, and I think it's because she really got in there and broke up all of the stiffness that has been building up from my injury.
I was trying to sign up for more time, but she was booked. I was very thankful that even in the 1 hour that we had, in a combo session, she was able to use such a mix of different modalities to create so much help for me. She was kind enough to offer 5 minutes of a face therapy because she didn't have enough time to do the full 15 that is available as an add-on. If you sign up, and you can add that on, I definitely would! The ultimate relaxer at the end of an amazing session.
She started with a conversation with me about what my needs and wants were from the session. Then, she did an amazing massage that really got into crevices that most people miss. After that she combined cupping, scraping with the Graston Technique metal tools, and getting deep with her hands for incredible soft tissue release, blood flow, and movement.
I would highly recommend coming to Stephanie with your bodywork needs! She's professional, strong, knowledgeable, and super caring. If I'm ever in the area, I will be looking her up!

Heidi is a one of a kind healer. Her combination of intuition, communication, and skilled technique is soooo nourishing for the body and mind. I have found immense relief from my sessions with her and always leave feeling very cared for and understood. The cranial sacral is amazing and it is such a special treat, but the Shirodhara is really the reason I continue to come back. I’ve had this treatment from other practitioners but with Heidi’s treatments I find myself enjoying improved sleep, reduced anxiety, and a deep sense of relaxation. It’s really wonderful to have the support of such a gifted practitioner and I can’t recommend her enough!

I can’t recommend Dr. Boaz Riblatt highly enough. I went to him with a right shoulder issue that had been bothering me for months. I couldn’t do any overhead pressing without pain, and even holding my shoulder in a 90-degree position—something as simple as squatting with the bar—was uncomfortable and limiting.
From the very first session, Dr. Boaz took a thoughtful, individualized approach. He didn’t just treat the symptom; he addressed the root cause of the problem. His combination of manual therapy, movement based work, and performance-focused rehab was extremely effective and clearly tailored to my training goals.
After about five sessions, my shoulder feels completely healed. I was able to shoulder press pain-free for the first time in six months, which honestly felt incredible. Beyond the hands-on work, Dr. Boaz was a tremendous resource—knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely invested in getting me back to training at a high level.

Sara is an amazing acupuncturist and chinese herbalist. Her combination of modalities for treating the whole body, both preventative and reactive, make her services and expertise unparalleled. I have suffered from back pain for years due to a partially herniated disk and have tried chiropractors, injections and seen other acupuncturists but it was Sara who got my mobility and active, pain free life back. She also helps me manage my asthma and seasonal allergies and cold symptoms with her herbal medicine expertise. You’d be hard pressed to find someone else with Sara’s skill set and positive attitude.
