I've had so many procedures, surgeries, and miscellaneous health issues and doctors/specialists/surgeons over the last 14 years, I've lost track of many - the price for living life like it's your last day for 60+ years.
There's a short list of professionals who have stood out during that time, and DR HIRASE represents the pinnacle of that short list. He is the ultimate example of how a superb and peerless medical professional should operate (no pun intended). If you get over the fact he looks like he just attended his high school prom last week, you are best served by his medical, and exceptional communication skills. I have had debilitating back pain for years, and was very adamant about not having major surgery or be on painkillers the rest of my life.
Dr Hirase exudes confidence and competence, and communicates all the details of his procedures remarkably clear and concise, and I've had to find this out through experience that this is a rare quality in 'professionals' in most fields these days. Unlike anyone else, I felt at ease and confident that I had finally found someone who could help me without worsening my condition for the first time. I was correct.
His concern and apathy were genuine, and reflected in the excellent quality and aftercare of my procedure. He's also a really cool person in general, and I rarely gush over ANYBODY (and no, I'm NOT related or married to him just appreciative of being in the company of a truly competent and skilled professional - if you have any issues in his highly sensitive area of expertise, (back,neck, etc) trust me on this, seeing anyone else would be a disappointing waste of time and energy. His support team is very efficient and capable, I might add.
