“Great teaching and friendly, welcoming environment. The 60-min beginner friendly hot yoga class is great for both new and seasoned yogis. If you are new to the yoga, the teachers will explain the postures to you with strong and clear alignment cues. I’ve had several teachers take the time to come up to me during class, address me by name and gently guide me through and further explain specific postures. The heat feels intense initially but has become one of my favorite elements to practice in. Take advantage of their new student monthly unlimited special!Highly recommend to anyone who wants to change their health and life for the better.“

“Blue Anjou is my yoga home! I've been coming to Blue since 2018, and did my 200 HR teacher training through them. Lisa, Debbie and Anna are the best - extremely knowledgeable, kind, and encouraging. All the teachers are unique, and each class brings something special. The studio itself is so cozy and a bit whimsical. There's something for everyone here, from a complete beginner to a seasoned yogi.“

“I recently started taking yoga classes because I am going through a difficult time in my life and I decided that I needed to do something for myself for a change. I decided on yoga because I wanted to do something that would help me mentally as well as physically, plus I do not like traditional exercise. I could not have found a better place than South Side Yoga! The day I started the instructor Ricky asked me if I had any physical ailments or pain areas and even taught us some positions that would help with those areas. All of our classes are tailored around everyone's needs and limitations. Ricky takes the time to get to know his clients so that he can help them in the best way possible. Even the positions that we do are tailored for everyone from those who are not flexible at all (or have a trouble areas) to people that can be twisted like pretzels. I don't know that I could ever find another class where one can receive so much care and assistance. The environment is also so relaxing but still laid back and fun! (Don't tell Ricky but he's actually pretty funny too) And the other students are all so friendly and kind.It is so helpful to have a place that I feel so relaxed and welcome while going through a difficult time.“

“The community of friendship and family transcends the actual practices. The leadership of GFY is remarkable. I didn’t start until a few short years ago and my only regret is that I didn’t pop in and try a class before. I love Ashley’s classes- they can be spicy as a Texas pepper with a mix of kindness. When I started going, she (and many others) made sure to make me feel welcome. It’s not just a yoga class at GFY!“

“As a massage therapist myself, I am always looking for a person who can work me over. I found this in Ava. She does incredible Thai massage, (I’ve had others) and is very accommodating to my needs and is never in a rush. I get 2 hours at a time. I’ve now had several from her and my body and strength are improving. She is very strong, which is needed as I am 6’8” and around 275lbs. She is a trooper and always gives me her best!!Recommend her Highly. The facilities are well kept and very comfortable as well.Thank you!!Nathan“

“Kasa Yoga stands out as the most stunning yoga studio I have experienced. Cindy's knowledge and extraordinary attention to our needs were remarkable. She went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and felt right at home. The studio was impeccably clean, aesthetically pleasing, and offered a tranquil environment. The class itself was incredibly peaceful and rejuvenating. I highly recommend Kasa Yoga to everyone I meet!“

“Power Up Yoga is an incredible workout for your whole body, your mind, your heart, your lungs. I really look forward to going to the 6pm classes and winding down after work. Doreen and Fred are great instructors and always supportive and professional. They know when to encourage you to go further and respect you when your body needs to rest. The class is filled with great people of all ages that respect each other and the purpose for being there. It’s not a competition and not intimidating. My wife and I have made good friends in this class. We are really disappointed any time we have to miss a class. Power Up Yoga makes me happy! Thanks Doreen.“

“This is the only exercise that I've ever considered fun that didn't cause injuries or aggravate old injuries. In fact, it's helped me maintain strength in areas I've been to PT to address. I've had a couple of procedures (unrelated to exercise) since starting and every doctor has said I can take basic classes as soon as I feel able to, unlike other places I've been where there are no modifications available. The instructors are great! They get to know you and are very encouraging. Pilates is for anyone. Don't worry that you won't fit in. Don't worry that it looks like it's hard to get into classes at first. If you sign up for the one that you can go to several different studios in the area, you'll have a ton to choose from. The waitlist moves fast. After a year and a half, I can say this is my exercise home. I don't anticipate stopping ever.“

“I've been coming here once a week the last few weeks after signing up for classpass , and it's genuinely one of my favorite workouts . But not just that, the staff are friendly and in good spirits, and very motivating . If you want to get an intense sweat in accompanied by a little bit of everything - yoga, cardio, strength, and core - this is a perfect workout . I look forward to coming here !“

“I do not much about dance studios, but a friend of mine taught a Nia class here the other night so I paid the $11 or so dollars on line when I signed up for the class. It seems most classes have a virtual option too.Met the owner when I arrived. She was really nice and showed me around. There are several studios and lockers for your belongings. The studio we were in for the class was really chill. Not what I expected. The lighting was dim with blue and yellow tones. I didn't feel as nervous after entering the room and not feeling fully on display. The Nia class was 30 minutes and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I will most likely look at the calendar and pick some other classes here and there. I notice they do Pilates, yoga and things like that too. Lots of options!“

“I have done yoga here and there but at the start of the new year I decided to make it a habit and I'm so happy I found good vibes yoga. All the instructors do things differently but they are all warm and inviting and nonjudgmental. They advocate for you going at your own pace. I've met some amazing members too. Everyone is just so nice!“

“I attended a vision board workshop led by Destiny W. recently, and it was amazing! The workshop consisted of a yoga series/flow, an opportunity to create a personal vision board, and then yoga nidra to complete the workshop. I will address each portion.Attendance: The workshop was well attended, but there was still space so I did not feel like I was too close to another person. I did not know other participants, but had met the woman leading the workshop (Destiny W). I felt welcomed into the space (so it was not weird if you showed up without a group of friends).Vision Board Workshop: I have never done a vision board before, and I am not a person who normally shares alot, so this was out of my comfort zone. I figured I would try it as a "new year, new focus situation." I am also not very creative/artsy. There was no pressure to share, but people could if they wanted. There were more than enough supplies (and there were cool supplies, too), so there was more than enough for the exceptionally creative and those who needed assistance in sorting their thoughts. Destiny (she led the workshop) walked around and chatted with each person but the conversations were not loud or intrusive so people could be present in the space and also focus on their own thoughts.Yoga Portion of the Workshop: I have practiced yoga before, and even at the old Samatone location (before it was purchased and relocated). I have not practiced in a session led by Destiny W. so that was new. I have also not practiced yoga in a couple of years (life got in the way), so I was not particularly flexible coming into this session.Destiny is a very thorough and calming presence in the studio. Some teachers talk too much, but she does not. There was enough direction to follow coherently, and the way that Destiny described yoga poses/steps made sense to me. It was not all explained in yoga words (some of which I do not know/understand), and there was time to actually do the pose (some teachers move quickly and I feel like I am sprinting to get from a down dog to a warrior). It was very obvious that she had given thought to which poses we were going to do, and in what order. This was not slapped together, and I appreciated that flow.Because this was a workshop, we completed certain yoga series/poses and then took a moment to respond to guided questions to help create our vision boards. There was enough time to do the pose, stop, and then write down a couple of words to help us when we got to the vision board portion. If we would not have done this part, I am not sure I would have been able to put a thought together coherently. The yoga definitely centered my thoughts to what I was supposed to be doing. The music was good. It was more animated during the vision board portion (which was good), and the background sound/music during yoga was neither too loud nor overpowering. I was still able to hear what was going on and also not hear the "extra" sounds of other people in the room.Yoga Nidra: Um, wow. I love yoga nidra. If you have not experienced this type of yoga, you are missing out. I think we might have done 5-10 minutes of yoga nidra at the end, but I also am unsure because I checked out for at least half of it. It was a very nice way to end the workshop.Studio space: The studio is very clean, bright/welcoming, and organized. It was easy to check in, sign the waiver, and find a space in the studio for my mat. There are more than enough cubbies/storage for bags, shoes, etc., and the facilities (bathrooms) are clean. The studio smells nice, or does not smell like a bunch of people sweat regularly in there or like feet. In between the workshop and the next class, the owner and Destiny were cleaning and making sure the room was ready for the next group. The studio owner (Rhonda, I think) was there and very nice/welcoming. Some studios have a clique vibe, but this place does not. There was a bit of everyone in this studio, so it is an inclusive place. That is nice.I would return for regular yoga, or for more workshops.“
