The guys finished my whole basement from square one for an extremely solid price. They came up with well-reasoned solutions to the unique problems my basement presented and worked diligently to ensure the job was completed as expeditiously as possible. Midway through the job, I made some changes to the scope and they accommodated seamlessly and amicably. We hired Dave and his team to build 2 decks, remove some dead trees and to redo gravel paths. Dave and his team showed up when they said, completed the work as described, and cleaned up all the garbage. Their prices are very reasonable. It is rare to find contractors that show up on time, and complete work in a timely manner. I would strongly recommend Earthworx for any exterior landscaping work.

Going in my hair was 35 inches blunt cut. I had been maintaining it myself over the years so I was a bit nervous, but those feelings quickly went away as we got started. Nour consulted with me over each cut and really took her time. She cut exactly what I asked for and no more! Can’t get a bad hair cut or colour here. Sandra does my colour and Derrick the owner does my cuts. I’ve gone to Derrick for years. The detail and skill are second to none. I had a fantastic 75 minute appointment at Lee's Nails yesterday and I was just thrilled with the result of my nail techs hard work! I did alternating polished black and chrome gold for an extra charge plus I bedazzled my middle fingers for 5 bucks! Totally worth the experience. Highlights: Good cuticle care, great nail design and polishing plus a fun selection of colours and styles.
I had the loveliest pedicure this afternoon. I was having a rough day but I honestly feel so much more relaxed afterwards and my toes look awesome. I wish I got the pedicurists name because she was great. I’ll be going here from now on for my pedis.

Brianna did our make-up for a friends wedding in 2021, and so when it was my turn, I didn't look far as I knew she was a great choice. Bri is so sweet, accommodating, experienced and thorough. I am not a make-up wearer so I really didn't want a lot on but I wanted to still feel elevated. Bri hit it on the mark. Application wasn't heavy at all and yet is stayed ALL DAY. 12+ hours and I only reapplied my lipstick. and this was after crying.. A LOT of crying. Wonderful experience!

I have had nothing but good experiences here with Jennalee. It was my first time doing laser hair removal and I was pretty scared as I’ve heard it is super painful. The machine they use is extremely gentle and it isn’t painful at all. Jennalee is personable, friendly, and professional, and I always have a good time when I’m there. The owner really came through for me! I went the long weekend without a furance and lived with just space heaters. After other companies dragged us along and quoted a minimum week wait for install I called Bremner’s with my emergency. The owner called me right back, walked me through the process and cost. The next morning his crew was there with a new furnace! In less then 24hrs they were able to install a top of the line unit at a very fair price. Jay and Liam, who were the furance techs, were super friendly and knowledgeable. I will be calling Bremner’s for any future issues and services.

We needed 12x12 tiles for our outdoor tabletop. With each tile fitting into its own frame, we couldn't use any other size. After striking out at a number of stores--turns out 12x12 tiles are much less popular than they were when we bought the table--we reached Kim at Taylor Flooring in Halifax. She suggested some beautiful Italian tiles that came in exactly the right number of tiles per box, and that were surprisingly affordable. We're delighted...thanks, Kim!

I just had a new laminate countertop installed in my kitchen by Maritime Countertops. It was an excellent experience from start to finish. Cheryl provided knowledge and advise that helped me select the right product and pattern for my countertop. I would have been quite overwhelmed without her assistance. Linus did such a professional job on the installation. Our cabinets are older and not standard size. Thanks to his excellent problem solving skills he was able to make the new sink fit in a very tight space. You don't have to worry about a thing if you do business with these folks. Co-workers recommended Candace for acupuncture. My only regret is that I didn't go see her sooner. Candace is so knowledgeable in what she is doing. She explained things to me as she went along, in a way that I would understand, she is so compassionate, a wonderful person!
I have been experiencing pain due to a rotator cuff injury, and also, because of menopause I don't sleep through the night. Since my first visit with Candace, the pain has been manageable, if I don't over do it, and I sleep through the night!!!!

It’s our first visit. Staff members were courteous. Dr. Mencher was thorough in examining and then explaining what our dog, Panko, needed. Since Panko was developing a limping of the right hind leg, he was tested for Lyme disease. The result was positive. Dr. Mencher quickly called to inform me and shared the strategy of the treatment, including a 30-day antibiotic course that I should pick up from the hospital on the same day!

Sarah's touch is deeply intuitive. I saw her about once a month during the second half of my pregnancy. Her treatments always felt like the perfect balance between therapeutic release and relaxation. She knows how to apply the perfect amount of pressure so that tensions and pains respond and that the rest of my body still remains in a state of calm.

She is an exceptional practitioner who takes great care in her approach for not only the physical side of recovery, but also the mental side of it and the challenges that the brain can create. I had a recurring back injury that resulted in me walking away from powerlifting, seemingly without a path back. I started seeing Brittany and she not only got me back to sport, but also improved my pain and discomfort in my day to day life. I am very thankful for the care Brittany has provided me, and continues to provide to me as I continue my recovery journey. I can truly say I would not have been able to return to the sport I love without Brittany’s care and support.
Stil Space has a wonderfully welcoming environment, with very kind, thoughtful and knowledgable staff. I am always so cared for when I am on the table, whether I am receiving acupuncture from Renee or a massage from Richard or Emily. I leave the space feeling reset and relaxed! I would highly recommended seeing any of their fantastic staff for a treatment!
Tara is incredible! She uses just the right amount of pressure and knows all the right spots to focus on. She has a remarkable ability to help you feel at ease and able to relax completely into the massage experience. I will not get massages from anyone else moving forward!

Brickyard Health is by far the best place I’ve been to. It immediately feels like a welcoming place when you walk in and meet the friendly desk staff.I’ve been seeing Brittany for my chiropractic needs and she’s been amazing from the start. I was afraid in the beginning because the whole “bone cracking” thing freaked me out. But, Brittany made me feel comfortable and ensured that it would feel much better (she wasn’t wrong!!) I’m always looking forward to my bone cracking appointment now (lol)And today, I seen Ana for a massage for the first time… I was amazed from the beginning. I think I found my new go-to massage therapist. I have never felt this relaxed and tense-free after a massage before from any other massage therapist I’ve seen at other locations. She knew exactly where the main points of pain in my shoulders were and worked them out without any discomfort on my end. Todays massage was sooooo relaxing, it’s just what I needed. I underwent a a Total Reverse Right Shoulder Replacement on December 12th. After losing my sling and the staples removed, I started my physio in January with Joel Buckler of University Physio, Spring Garden Road. I could not ask for a better physio program. After the initial assessment, Joel set up a program for me where I visited them 2x per week, he is extremely patient and knowledgeable and would rein in "My Over-Achiever attitude in order for me to have a smoother recovery period, sending me home with pictures and instructions for the exercises I should do each day at home; however, being me I did them at twice per day.
May 24th I graduated and Joel left me with about 11 different exercises to strength the muscles myself. I would highly recommend this business to anyone having problems, the staff are fabulous, pleasant, professional reminding clients of their appointments via email and notifying when storms would close the office in winter.
I would recommend Joel and University Physio for your physio requirements.
I had the absolute pleasure of receiving care from Danielle Stewart while on vacation to Halifax! I have a fabulous team back home but knew as soon as I walked into Total Kneads that I was in a supportive and professional space. Danielle was so knowledgeable about Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and even sent me stretches to do now that I am back in Ontario. I look forward to seeing her again and receiving another magical massage the next time I am in town!

During the fall of 2023 I began treatment at the MLD clinic for back and neck issues. Having had significant injuries and multiple surgeries over the past 20 years; I was functioning, but my body was in a mess!
Terry’s approach has been different from all my earlier therapy/treatments. He explained what was happening to me and why I may be feeling the way I was. Intern, I was able to link the incident(s) or root cause(s). Terry has a tremendous working knowledge of human anatomy and its correlation with the physics of movement. He is professional, respectful, and very skilled.
My posture has improved, and I have had tremendous pain relief, and in areas my pain and/or discomfort have been eliminated. It has been a journey, and I would highly recommend the MLD Clinic.
I would be remiss not to mention Nancy who administers behind the scenes. She has been very efficient and accommodating and I thank you!
Many years ago when my son was 10 years old, he suffered severe pain in his legs which disrupted his sleep. I took him to see Dr. Franklyn Chen and after a couple of acupuncture treatments, he was pain free!
