The owner, Shellee was so helpful and got my new glasses to me super quickly! She had a huge selection and found pairs that fit my preferences (I prefer wider frames). She even offered to adjust them to sit better if needed! Great experience!“

“I have been going to Bill at Designer Optical for 23 years, since my daughter was a toddler with strabismus in both eyes (for which she had successful surgery). Her prescriptions were quite complicated and fittings took a great deal of timeBill always made her feel comfortable and made the appointments a special occasion.I told him that she could choose her own frames from the age of three, and we talked beforehand about which ones would be best for her to select from, he was most helpful, kind and patient. “Honest, quality service. Did an excellent job making my kindergarten-aged child comfortable during her exam. They could have easily upsold us into purchasing glasses and corrections, school says she failed an inspection and required an exam, but they did not. Her vision was good and correction wouldnt have been helpful. I respect that honesty very much and will bring all of my family eye care needs to this business from now on.“

“I’ve used the optical shop several times through the years for my son’s and my glasses and always received quality service but today was EXCEPTIONALLY great customer service when I was helped by Heather to order my new lenses. I wanted to keep my existing frames but wanted just about every coating option you can get on lenses from blue light blocking to scratch resistant to transitions, etc. She was calm, patient and friendly while showing me all the options with real examples. Of course the optical shop was out of network for my vision plan so I planned on paying out of pocket and then try to submit a claim to get reimbursed for some of the cost. Heather had the claim form there and filled it out with all the options on my lenses with pricing! All I had to do was sign and date the form! She even mailed it for me! Smoothest process I’ve ever been through to buy lenses. I’ll definitely continue being a repeat customer. Heather is great and I highly recommend her and North Shore Optical Shop.“

“The quality of the lens, and the name brand frames that are a third of the price for the same model. I’ve wasted money in the past not taking advantage of their optical department. I even just bought a pair of their brand sunglasses but just bought a regular sunglasses without a prescription so I can wear them with my contacts, and I’m so impressed with the clarity of the lenses, with polarization and flexible metal hinges for less than $70. Can’t say enough good things about them.
Now I just ordered a pair of glasses and they have a new transitioning (to sunglasses) that are a color exclusive to Costco called Sapphire; a very vibrant color between blue/violet.
FYI- the optician is a separate company than the vision department. I just go to my regular optician and bring my script. They staff have all been very helpful and kind.“
