“So a true story here. Our AC failed this weekend Fourth of July. Big heat wave wave in Boston as we all know. I called several HVAC companies and of course they’re all very booked but a guy shows up from a company I shall not name and after doing a little bit of examinations tells me I need a new AC system immediately. It’ll be eight to $12,000. He can do it Monday. Meanwhile, I had also called Ken and he showed up (I believe this is Ken himself), about an hour and a half later. He proceeded to take a look and then simply replaced our capacitor unit and hosed off the condenser coils with my water hose. Immediately, the fan on the external unit at our house was functioning again which the other guy told me was broken and needed to be replaced, hence need for full system replacement. So I had a functional AC system…for $375 vs $10,000!!! What can I say Ken? It’s an honest guy and straight shooter…outstanding service. Highly recommend and not scam artist. Thank you Ken.“

He was transparent about the work to be done and the possible need for parts replacement in the future.

“Our AC stopped cooling during a really humid stretch, and the upstairs stayed around 79 even with the thermostat set much lower. The outdoor condenser was running, but the air from the vents was only slightly cool, and there was a strange buzzing sound whenever the system tried to start a full cooling cycle. The house felt damp and uncomfortable, and it was hard for my kid to sleep. A technician named William came out to Needham and diagnosed the problem quickly. He checked the refrigerant pressure, tested the capacitor, inspected the contactor, and found the evaporator coil was beginning to ice up because of restricted airflow and weak blower performance. He cleaned the system, replaced the faulty capacitor, cleared the drain line, and restored proper airflow through the AC system. After the repair, the supply air felt much colder, the humidity indoors started dropping, and the house cooled the way it should. What stood out most was how patient and easy to talk to he was. I had a lot of questions about the AC repair, airflow, and cooling cycle, and he explained everything in simple terms. By that evening the system was running steadily again, the bedrooms felt comfortable, and the whole house finally felt normal. It was a big relief to have the air conditioning working properly again.“
