We came home from vacation late in the day to find our heat was out. Maryann from Akian came out right away. It turned out to be a really thorny problem, but Maryann was extremely knowledgeable and persistent, and was happy to explain what she was doing as she did it. What impressed me the most, however, and made the ultimate difference to me being truly WOWed and making Akian our new go-to HVAC and plumbing call, was how conscientious Maryann was. She felt a strong obligation to do right by us and didn’t want to leave us without heat. She stayed much longer than another technician might have trying to find and solve the problem. When she exhausted her options with the equipment she had and had to call it for the day, she felt that she couldn’t charge us (even for the parts she already had used up to that point) until it was actually fixed - again, WOW! Thank you so much Maryann and Mikey, and thank you so much Akian for having their back while they made decisions in their customers’ best interests. It’s clear that Akian treats both their customers and their employees right; that trust can’t be bought, it has to be earned, and Akian has earned it. We’ll be going with Akian going forward!
We recently had our hot water heater replaced after our previous heater failed and flooded our basement. We couldn't be happier with the entire experience! The new hot water heater works flawlessly, providing consistent, hot water with impressive energy efficiency. Manny was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain how to maintain the system and the automatic water shutoff.
Overall, this replacement has brought us peace of… read full review
