I am an actress and I first met Sonja as a makeup artist for a commercial that we were both working on. I have worked with several makeup artists throughout my career, but within a matter of minutes I knew Sonja was superior. By lunchtime of that work day, I knew I wanted Sonja to do my makeup on my upcoming wedding day. We just clicked and she is such a skilled makeup artist. I booked her shortly after!
Fast forward to my wedding day, and Sonja exceeded all expectations. Sonja and her assistant, Christina, arrived at the venue early and were ready to start makeup a half hour early. We had a total of nine different women that got their makeup done and Sonja managed to keep our makeup schedule ahead of time. Everyone's makeup looked AMAZING. My entire bridal party raved about both Sonja and Christina.

Harris Plumbing & Heating Corporation was great to respond to me when my tenants heat was not working during this last cold spell we had in February Owen came out and he was so professional to me and had great compassion that a child was upstairs and even brought some space heaters due to not being able to access that part right away due to it being a late afternoon call but they did say they would be here first thing in the morning the next day and Owen and Chris were here as they stated thank you so much for great service it's great to have a wonderful business in Arlington

I've been going to The Heights barber shop for years now, after trying to find a place that knows how to cut hair. Rina is one of the best barbers I've ever had, and David is great, too. This is an old school barber shop, so you will not be asked "What number?" the moment you sit in the chair-or ever. Yes, it's true; they cut hair quite well using scissors! Of course, they can buzz hair, too. Also, they take time cutting your hair. It's not a 5 or 10 minute cut. I highly recommend this barber shop to anyone seeking a great haircut.
Requested style: Juan Pablo did an awesome job with my low taper. Most barbers know it's not easy doing a taper or a fade on Asian hairs and Juan Pablo did a great job. He was very communicative during the session and made sure that my haircut was exactly what I wanted. Making an appointment was easy as well. Plenty of street parking near the shop too.
Jane cut my hair and was absolutely incredible! She took care to explain her thought process and approach. She was also quite likely the most skilled person I have ever had cut my hair. Also the barber shop was really nice!

I have been going to Polished Boston for about a year now and I’ll never look back. Energy is so important to me and the energy here is fun, loving, and hilarious. And of course, they also do amazing work. My nails look fabulous each time whether I’m trying out a design or keeping it simple. I get the structured manicure, and my nails have never been healthier (pics are natural nails). I have also never received as many compliments on my nails as I have since I started going to Polished. I typically see Katie (although I don’t think you can go wrong with anyone there) and she’s so talented and so nice. Shannon is the owner and she’s everything. I have so much love and respect for this place and I’m grateful to be a part of it.

I really like this place. Clean and quiet, good quality of polish, relaxing environment and overall a lovely experience. I went there twice - once for a gel mani and once for a regular pedicure. Both times accommodated by knowledgeable technicians who worked fast but not hurriedly - I managed to relax. Also, back massage in the end? Yes please! There is street parking nearby. I'll go back, that's for sure!
I like Wish. I’ve been going for manicures for the last year and they have all been what I asked for. I go every two weeks but if I wanted to, my gel nails could last longer. I just like changing the colour. I’ve had different technicians each time. I can’t say I have a favourit, they all do great work. Appointment times are always exact and the detail on my mani is always on point.

Highly recommend! I found this salon on the DevaCurl website looking for a stylist who could cut curly hair. Anyone with curly hair knows they are hard to find! Maria's been cutting my hair for a couple years now and she's awesome. No more triangle hair for me! She's also done highlights a couple times and they looked AMAZING. Appointments are easy to book using their website. Parking's easy to find on nearby side streets. They recently renovated so everything looks modern. There's coffee and tea, and snacks I think. Definitely recommend!

After a bleaching mishap at another salon and a week of hat wearing, I booked an appointment with Kerry to correct my color. I was a little nervous since I was a new client and she had to work without knowing anything about my natural hair.…but she spent time going over what I had done previously and what I wanted and she nailed it!! She was able to correct to exactly what I wanted. I will definitely go back for all my future color!
Today was the first time, the owner Jen cut and styled my hair. I wanted a pixie cut knowing it may not look that great for a round face and the texture of my hair. Jen offered her expertise and explained why a pixie cut would not look good. The final result was beautiful!! I left the salon very happy! ?

These folks do wonders with all types of hair. I always leave feeling glam, and get compliments on my haircut. Also, Barbara, the owner, is fast and efficient.... and fun. The salon has some later hours, too, which can be really helpful.

I cannot recommend Erin enough! I have received many facials throughout the years and this is definitely one of the best. Since this was my first time coming to Glow, Erin took her time to learn about my skincare needs and current routine. I opted for the lymphatic drainage facial which was incredibly relaxing. My skin feels super moisturized and is glowing. I will be back soon!
From the moment I first stepped into Sedona I knew I was in for a wonderful experience. Meghan gave me a stellar manicure and pedicure - it was one of the best mani-pedi's I've had in a very long time. A day later my feet are still feeling renewed, and each time I catch a glimpse of my nails I feel so chic! Sedona is like a sanctuary - calm, relaxing and cozy. Looking forward to my next visit!

We LOVE Ink Jam! We've been getting tattoos done there for years. Jim the owner has done a few for us and his employees have done a few as well. Recently we went and Izzy did tattoos for me, my son and my husband! All amazing! Can't say enough about their attention to detail, customer service, etc.! We'll definiltey keep going there for our future tattoos as well.
I dont even know where to begin other than to just say wow, in the absolute best way possible. Mina is a true artist, she is beyond talented and genuinely gifted in tattooing. She took pieces of my idea and crafted them into a drawing that was spot on, then proceeded to create a tattoo that was better than I could have ever imagined. Her attention to detail is out of this world. I will forever cherish this piece that she created for me, and will never go anywhere else but to her for any other tattoo I ever get in the future.

I called Hourican after finding water leaking out of my water heater. He was here in 20 minutes, found the problem and gave us a few options. We ended up replacing the water heater and the whole process took only an hour. His crew were good about masks and cleaning up. We have allergies in our family, and he and his son took extra care to keep us safe, which was very appreciated. They are able to come scent-free if anyone in your family is sensitive to scents! Jim is very knowledgeable and helped me order the right parts to fix everything properly. He and his son were both extremely pleasant and helpful, highly recommend!

I've been in the residential and commercial construction industry for almost 30 years, and I wish we had people like Andrew that we could hire for our projects. He's honest, thoughtful, and a really good plumber. I've recommended him to family and he's also doing work at my wife's dental office. My only hesitancy in giving this review is that he'll get too busy and he'll be harder to get when I need him. In all seriousness, he's a rare breed and I highly recommend him.
My kitchen sink in my new-to-me-but-100-year-old home clogged and my puny manual snake just wasn't powerful enough. I called ABC Plumbing late in the day and Brian asked if this was an emergency or ok to wait until the morning and in the interest of saving some money, I asked for the next day. He wound up having to cut open the waste pipe and found all sorts of things (a whole chicken leg bone, how!?) trapped in the pipe before even reaching the clog. Brian patched everything up and even made a few minor improvements and we're good as we'll get without a full kitchen renovation.
My old water heater died and the tank flooded the basement. The owner showed up a few hours after I called them, did an assessment, made a great recommendation and gave me an accurate estimate all within a span of half an hour. Their team came in next business day and installed the heater, hooked up the new vent, removed the old heaters and left the place spotless. They were also, prompt, communicative, professional and really friendly. I was supremely impressed.
I had a phenomenal experience with Crescent Plumbing & Drain. I had a water heater in Medford that needed to be replaced immediately. My home warranty company assigned it to Crescent. Their rates were the most competitive that I saw (as I also did my own research for competitive rates). They were available two days later but when I told them it was urgent, they squeezed me in the next morning at 7 am and completed the job the same day. I had a great experience. Elizabeth did a great job communicating with me and keeping me updated. She was very patient and generous with her time and addressed all my questions and concerns. Ken did the work, and while he was replacing the heater, he noticed some other work that required follow up soon and was kind enough to point it out and take pictures for my awareness. Peter, Oliver, and Alan did an amazing job with my condo unit remodeling project that involved bathroom and kitchen remodeling, reconfiguring a closet, full painting of the unit, and floor refinishing. They turned a 1990 condo unit into a brand new modern loft. Peter, the GC, was very communicative throughout the project, even when I was out of town for a week. If I needed something adjusted, Oliver and Alan would make the adjustment very promptly. Peter was transparent about the timeline and quotes, but one thing I’d recommend is having every detail written in the proposal, so you are not surprised with any additional expenses. For example, our proposal included “kitchen cabinet installation and bathroom vanity installation”, but they asked for additional $4K after they installed my IKEA cabinets and vanity. I understand that IKEA cabinet assembly can be a pain, but had I been aware of this cost earlier, I would have hired IKEA assembly and installation team for $2.7K. Nevertheless, their overall pricing was very reasonable, and they are one of the friendliest and most professional teams I’ve worked with. They carried out all tasks beautifully. I would definitely consider working with them again for future projects!

John's helped our 3-unit condo with a walkway from the main entrance at the street, to the side entrance, all the way back to our garage/parking area. Previously, this had been only slate squares separated a foot or two apart. It would get very muddy and was not easy to navigate.
Now, we have a very good looking, smooth flowing pervious paver path. Somerville can be rather strict on their permitting, and it took a while to be approved, but John's did stick with it.
It is night and day from what was there before. About the only negative I can say is that the original estimate was 1/3rd the final price (they apparently didn't calculate the square footage properly). Having the cost triple after starting the project was a bit of a shock.
In response, John's did provide a discount, and honestly the final product is very good. We are all happy with the result!

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of care at Arlington Smiles, and their willingness to explain in detail and with pictures the dental procedures they were recommending. I went ahead with the procedures and I was pleased with the results.

I've tried a number of chiropractors over the years, and I haven't like most of them. The only one I trusted was in Norwood, a considerable distance from me, so I rarely went and suffered as a result. So I thought I would give Personal Care Chiropractic a shot when I saw the sign as I biked by. Dr. Nick Stamoulos has been great. I've been there 5-6 times already, and he's done a great job. He adjusts me every bit as well as the Norwood doctor, but even more thoroughly. He has a strength in his hands that I find comforting, like feeling that everything he's doing is controlled and within his power. Does that make sense? He also has provided stretches for me, some posture advice, and takes an active interest in my exercise regimen. I am confident I will turn to him without reservation when my somewhat chronic back issues flare up.
Been seeing Dr Crossen for years. I have MS and as such I have a lot of muscle stiffness. Regular visits literally keep me moving. Plus she’s a pleasure to work with and the office staff is friendly and efficient. I wouldn’t continue to go here if I wasn’t satisfied.

Dr potter is my main doctor for my overall health. I have my primary care and Dr.Potter. They are my team! Dr. Potter works well with other physicians. He will refer you to someone else if he feels it is best. My mother, myself, my husband, my son and now my granddaughter all rely on Dr. Potter! He is kind, understanding, and genuinely cares about you. I once had a pinched nerve in my neck and it wasn’t responding so I went to a surgeon he recommended and the surgeon told me to continue seeing Dr. Potter whole waiting for surgery. And it finally disappears 2 days before the surgery! I could not recommend him any higher. He is wonderful!

One of my cats is super aggressive and gets turned away at vets but the vets here did a great job at handling her with care and made us feel supported. They were able to give her vaccines and bloodwork while allowing me to distract her.

I am not quite sure how I was so fortunate to end up at Water House for a massage, but it was well worth the trip. You know how you always look for the perfect pillow, today this was my perfect pillow. Normally, my go to is a deep tissue or sport massage but I met with Bella a Thai masseuse. The hot towels added a new dimension, it was truly relaxing and therapeutic. I had more mobility in my shoulders and the neck tension was eased as well. All the staff were friendly. Very knowledgeable and thorough. I enjoyed the cranial work and even fell asleep. But the deep tissue work was just too much for me. Do not recommend if you are sensitive and need light pressure like me.

Ruth is the most incredible acupuncturist. In just 2 visits I was feeling pain relief for an injury that I have been living with for over 20 years. I have worked with physical therapists, chiropractors, and other acupuncturists, none of whom could figure out why I had so much pain nor how to reduce it. Tracy is a wonderful practitioner. If you have not tried acupuncture because of the needles, that’s no problem. Tracy has a number of options that do not use needles. Her office is clean and welcoming, and she takes the time to understand why you are seeking treatment. I drive a fair distance to go specifically to be treated by her, so clearly I highly recommend!
