Professional and extraordinary in her work ethics, I came in and I leave feeling relaxed, at ease and comfortable. Everyone here does great work, but Moe really knocks it out of the park - he’s super talented and has given me helpful advice about how to make impactful adjustments to both my hair and beard.

I love the decor and the salon space is clean and bright. Nami was my nail artist and she was lovely and friendly. I got a pedicure and manicure with nail art. The pedicure was so relaxing. She did an amazing job matching my inspiration picture and making what I wanted become a reality. I will definitely be back in the future on another visit to Evanston.

Tia Nails is MY nail place. I love how spacious and clean it is. The staff are kind and professional. The atmosphere is just what I need. They even have a little play area for kids. They have a reward program as well which is nice. I never have to wait long and there’s free parking. They also give out free toe rings with your pedicure!

This is a very small salon if you do not look close enough you will miss it. It is next to Tapas Barcelona on Chicago Ave in Evanston. Marian is the main stylist and she is wonderful and extremely accommodating with appointments as well as hair washing process. She has given me two fabulous haircuts that I absolutely loved and her styling fees are very reasonable. There is also free parking garage around the corner (you get one hour for free) ask Marian and she will direct you!

My wax specialist, Gina, is amazing at her job. I swear it was the least painful waxing I’ve ever had and I got a full Brazilian! Used Hammell Homes to reconstruct the wooden three step staircase to my back door.
1. Rick was very quick to respond to the inquiry I made on the website. Many other sites didn’t even bother responding, but I received Rick’s reply in under 24 hours.
2. He was able to quote the job very quickly as well, and provide a detailed written version of it for my review
3. He committed to a schedule to begin the work, kept the commitment and finished the job in less time than he said it would take.
4. The staircase is a huge improvement over the previous one and the job is perfect.
5. We got him to investigate remodeling our terrible bathroom, he provided an estimate per our specs and we are totally going to use Hammell Homes to remodel our bathroom. We’re just gathering the information we need for our fixture choices and we’ll be working out the details with Rick shortly

We could not be more delighted with the job Ronn, John and their colleagues did in remodeling our kitchen...which had not been updated since the house was built in 1939! They worked with us on a design that was both current and honored the home’s architecture. The quality of the workmanship on the maple cabinets literally brought tears to our eyes.
I used Hatcher Family Construction for several projects that I was doing on my home. Al Hatcher is a terrific guy to deal with. He is as honest as the day is long and all of his trades people are professionals who he has known for years. Even better, his prices were the best among the alternatives that I considered early in the game. I can't say enough good things about the people I worked with and about Al's responsiveness as some of my ideas changed in the process. He even answered a question I had when I called him on a Sunday about staining my deck myself. I'd use him again in a heartbeat and I highly recommend him.

I keep using Greenwise for both my landscaping and snow removal. They do a great job for both. Brian is quite responsive to any questions I have about my landscaping. He comes and checks out my landscaping when I want to talk about changes to it. The snow crews follow the instructions in my contract about where to place the shoveled snow. They also follow instructions about what areas to shovel. I am very satisfied with both services.
I've resisted the solicitations of the big lawn weed-control/fertilizer companies for years. Finally, I threw my hands up--the noxious intruders took over in our wooded area. A friend suggested that I call Steve at Logic for an appraisal. They use all organic treatments and the price is reasonable. They are a small local company committed not to outgrow their capabilities. I noticed an improvement before the second treatment (of 6 for the season). Everyone who visits raves about the lawn. I try to water it once in a while, a source of guilt given the water shortages in the country, but we have Lake Michigan, which connects to Huron to boot! I've since recommended several friends to Logic.

He went above & beyond to take an impression, repair, & adjust and made him a new entire bottom piece with the original. Its like new & now he can eat!. Dr. Martini is the Dude, or his Dudeness, or el Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing. A great dentist who explains your dental situation in a clear and concise manner. A great hygienist who has skillz. No slips of the hand. High speed H2O cleans your teeth and not your gums, if you know what I mean. I could go on but I think I've made my point.

Travis is a super talented chiropractor! His method is very scientific and integrated. There are muscle pain relieve + dry needles + chiro adjustment + teach me a few physical movements, which work just like miracle. I have seen quite a few chiropractors and PT in the past few years, but none of them are effective like Travis’s integrated treatment. My neck pain feels so much relieved after the first two sessions. The dry needling he provided is extremely precise and very effective.

Had a great experience with Bramer in the nineties when I brought my cats here, and was happy to find they are still going strong now that I have a new puppy. Everyone on staff is kind, knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. The vets and techs regularly sit right on the exam
room floor so that my dog can approach them easily and shower them with kisses. The exam rooms and office spaces are bright and clean but don’t smell like strong disinfectant. I always feel that I have plenty of time to ask questions and am treated with respect. Finally, my dog loves it here and can’t wait to get in the door and greet everyone. In the exam room, he’s relaxed and happy while waiting. That says it all!

I love this studio so much. They have excellent classes offered at multiple levels of ease and challenge. Their teachers are very knowledgeable/supportive and the owners are kind and welcoming. They also offer really interesting Sunday programming (Soul Care Sunday) for yoga and other wellness topics.

Absolutely outstanding experience! My teenage son plays baseball and had been struggling with throwing pain in his shoulder and arm for weeks. After just one shiatsu session here, the difference was incredible — Arlette zeroed in on exactly the right points and his rotation was visibly improved.

I had an incredible session with Jeff and couldn’t be more pleased with the results. I came in with significant neck pain, and after just one session, I experienced tremendous relief. An added bonus was the improvement in my golfer’s elbow, which has been bothering me for over a year. It’s been four days since my treatment, and while some symptoms are slowly returning, they are much less severe—I’m confident that with continued sessions, I’ll be fully back to normal. I had a lot of tightness in my back and legs due to my love for running, and was in desperate search of a professional who could adequately address this. I had previously been requesting deep tissue work at massage chains or spas, but I experienced either intense soreness afterwards that made my tightness worse, or I was charged more for what really was a swedish/relaxing massage (not a sport massage). I went to Scott and he was able to identify where the trouble spots were as if he could see them. He was extremely knowledgable and explained what he was addressing as he worked. Afterwards, I immediately felt the difference just when I walked, and I did not feel "beat up" as I have felt from past experiences when I have requested firmer work to address the tightness. Not only was he very knowledgeable and professional, but more reasonably priced than the services I had previously used, that didn't come close to his knowledge and professionalism. Through the excellent administrative support and customized instruction at Skillz, I have been able to gain strength and mobility in my left shoulder and knee. The gentle weight lifting, hands-on deep tissue massage, and other efforts have enabled me to walk more naturally, engage in daily activities more easily, and, generally, experience more comfort and less pain.

I had a very successful experience dealing with back pain at Doctors of Physical Therapy in Evanston. Taylor Rodriquez was my therapist. She used her very excellent listening and observational skills to understand my problem and then create a program to remedy it. Taylor was empathetic, focused and pleasant in all our appointments. The office is a fully functional, non-pretentious and welcoming environment.
All the staff were friendly and helpful.

I am a professional singer with severe asthma. My pulmonologist was able to get me out of danger but that did not get me back on stage. Melanie was able to clear my chest of the remaining fluid and help rebuild my strength. Her knowledge of herbs and the human body is absolutely first class. She got results much faster than I expected.
So I was looking for a good acupuncturist and was given Lisa Meyerson’s name. She has been wonderful and has tried a few techniques as I have told her what I have been going through. I have Parkinson’s Disease and I have had some bad falls. My fractured elbow being the worst. I haven’t been able to straighten it for some time now but a few things she has tried seems to have loosed it up a bit I really enjoy seeing her and am totally relaxed when I leave. I would recommend her!!

I recommend Dr. Kuan, whose help I sought for some extremely painful and inconvenient ailments whose symptoms had recurred more frequently until I began treatment with him.For three months, I had regular appointments and no incidents with the various organs that had been troubling me for almost two years.I was able to live pain-free and improve my nutritional uptake during these months, the time it took to get diagnosed and treated with surgery. I do attribute that to Dr. Kuan's care.In addition, on my most recent treatment, post-surgery, I was in a lot of pain and discomfort all day, but ended up very glad not to have canceled my appointment. I literally felt my battered organs relaxing and the pain melting away, from the beginning and all through the treatment that day. I had stopped in on two other driving schools before choosing ADDS. One felt like a wrong fit, mostly due to availability and the other (also in Evanston) had a front desk person who was condescending and gave what I knew was incorrect information.
As an elderly woman, new to Illinois and not having driven for over a year, this challenge was almost overwhelming.
From the minute I entered the office of ADDS, I felt comfortable. First contact was the very busy Kemyta, who was juggling phone, paperwork, walk-ins and still smiling. When she was free, she asked me a few questions, then showed me how to maneuver their website, which had practice tests and much other information. There was also a voice behind a partition - an instructor giving a lesson to a group of high school students. Kemyta and I discussed my tailored requirements including pickup and dropoff as well as instruction for written test, driving test and all the crazy paperwork associated with an out of state elderly person licensing situation. Kemyta assured me that the owner, Doug Whitmore, a retired state policeman, would lead me through the process.
When I met Doug, I asked him to be very straightforward with criticisms because I wanted to get this right. In turn, he gave encouragement, precise feedback, directions and kindly- phrased criticisms. After each session, I received a detailed summary from Doug’s wife Andrea, while Doug was off giving CDL lessons for truck drivers. Text messages and emails were answered in reasonable time. This group had so many dimensions but operates very compatibly.
I was apprehensive about taking the test and asked if I should have one more lesson, but Doug said he thought I could pass and gave specific issues on which to focus. He easily could have had another payment from me, but he took the high road (no pun intended).
I passed all the testing and got a license. Yay! This company is like family. They care about your success, know what they are doing, kind, moral and truly a pleasure to work with.
