I had such a wonderful experience at Texture with Yuki, and I love my new hair cut (long hair to chin length). I have fine, dense hair and have always struggled with managing and styling it. One thing I really appreciated was all the styling instructions. Looking forward to my next haircut!

She is such a sweet person and listens to exactly what you want, as well as taking notes to refer to in future visits to design the right plan for you. Both time I have gotten cut and style and the first time I got the Oleplex treatment and the second a conditioning mask. I was referred to her by multiple others.
Alexandra is the best colorist I have been too. She has been doing this for years and I wish I met her a long time ago. Her products are top of the line and every time she does my hair the color is vibrant and lasts! Her attention to detail is always on point! She also gives great detailed information on products for your specific hair type. If you really want a colorist perfectionist, Alexandra is the girl to see!

Months later, I’m a repeat color client as well and my hair quality has greatly improved due to her advice.She is meticulous about her craft, listens to what you want but makes it so much better. If you are needing advice/help with your hair and its health this salon seems to be the place. I've been unhappy with my hair's quality over the past year and seriously needed guidance on cut, color, product etc. Ming was so helpful and patient with me as I’ve had bad past experiences with color. Ralph runs an old-style barbershop. Ralph not only cuts your hair, he gets to know you and treats you like family. Forgot your wallet? No problem, pay next time. Feeling tense? Chatting with Ralph will pick you right up. And that shoulder and neck massage at the end... Heavenly! Have an important date and you really really need that haircut? No problem, he'll squeeze you in at the end of the day. Except you'll never feel squeezed-in... you'll always get his full attention and time. I've been going to Ralph for over 20 years. I love the decor and the salon space is clean and bright. Nami was my nail artist and she was lovely and friendly. I got a pedicure and manicure with nail art. The pedicure was so relaxing. She did an amazing job matching my inspiration picture and making what I wanted become a reality. I will definitely be back in the future on another visit to Evanston.

Tia Nails is MY nail place. I love how spacious and clean it is. The staff are kind and professional. The atmosphere is just what I need. They even have a little play area for kids. They have a reward program as well which is nice. I never have to wait long and there’s free parking. They also give out free toe rings with your pedicure!

This is a very small salon if you do not look close enough you will miss it. It is next to Tapas Barcelona on Chicago Ave in Evanston. Marian is the main stylist and she is wonderful and extremely accommodating with appointments as well as hair washing process. She has given me two fabulous haircuts that I absolutely loved and her styling fees are very reasonable. There is also free parking garage around the corner (you get one hour for free) ask Marian and she will direct you!

My wax specialist, Gina, is amazing at her job. I swear it was the least painful waxing I’ve ever had and I got a full Brazilian! We're so grateful we found Fresh Tech, and specifically Candice. She's wonderful. (I think the only ones who like her more than we do are our two pit bulls.) Candice does a fantastic job. I've resisted the solicitations of the big lawn weed-control/fertilizer companies for years. Finally, I threw my hands up--the noxious intruders took over in our wooded area. A friend suggested that I call Steve at Logic for an appraisal. They use all organic treatments and the price is reasonable. They are a small local company committed not to outgrow their capabilities. I noticed an improvement before the second treatment (of 6 for the season). Everyone who visits raves about the lawn. I try to water it once in a while, a source of guilt given the water shortages in the country, but we have Lake Michigan, which connects to Huron to boot! I've since recommended several friends to Logic.
I had a great experience with Greenwise! They came out for a consultation and understood what we wanted with our back yard immediately. They handled all the permitting and really made the process as simple and streamlined as possible. Our yard looks incredible, they redid our brick patio and cleaned up all of our garden beds so we'll be prepared to plant in the spring. Communication was great through the whole process. I can't recommend them highly enough.
We needed a dead tree removed from the front of our home. They had a reasonable quote, arrived in a timely manner and even cleared away additional debris we had from trimming our bushes. I would definitely use them again.

Dr. Hopf is the best. Both my husband and I are patients, and we have been happy with the quality and care of his work. He is patient, thorough, and honest (in a world where many dentists try to upsell you). I have gum recession, and he really cares about protecting my teeth so I can avoid grafting surgery. I highly recommend him as a dentist!

Dr. Martini is the Dude, or his Dudeness, or el Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing. A great dentist who explains your dental situation in a clear and concise manner. A great hygienist who has skillz. No slips of the hand. High speed H2O cleans your teeth and not your gums, if you know what I mean. I could go on but I think I've made my point.

Working with Dr. M was a critical part of my pregnancy and post partum experiences. She takes a whole body approach and works to ensure all aspects of self are being taken care of. She was even able to help adjust my kiddos at a critical time when they were babies and needed more support in moving their necks, etc (I had twins). Dr. M “gets it” - the wear and tear in our bodies as women and mothers. Her space is so welcoming and comforting. Please go see her if even a small part of you is contemplating care. You won’t regret it!
I visited Dr. Maya with severe back pain, and after getting treatment from her, my pain completely went away and has stayed gone ever since. I am extremely grateful for the care and attention she provided.
My husband also visited Dr. Maya after surgery related to a joint infection of his shoulder. He completed physical therapy with her, and after just one month, his surgeon was shocked by his progress. The surgeon even said that the results Dr. Maya achieved looked more like someone who had been in physical therapy for six months instead of only one month.

Had a great experience with Bramer in the nineties when I brought my cats here, and was happy to find they are still going strong now that I have a new puppy. Everyone on staff is kind, knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. The vets and techs regularly sit right on the exam
room floor so that my dog can approach them easily and shower them with kisses. The exam rooms and office spaces are bright and clean but don’t smell like strong disinfectant. I always feel that I have plenty of time to ask questions and am treated with respect. Finally, my dog loves it here and can’t wait to get in the door and greet everyone. In the exam room, he’s relaxed and happy while waiting. That says it all!

I like the stretching and the slow pace movement part. I’m very Catholic and keep my faith, I do it for the benefit of stretching/ slow movement exercise but not the gesture and chants…instead I make a sign of the cross after class. And it’s all good for me, hope it doesn’t bother anyone.

I had a lot of tightness in my back and legs due to my love for running, and was in desperate search of a professional who could adequately address this. I had previously been requesting deep tissue work at massage chains or spas, but I experienced either intense soreness afterwards that made my tightness worse, or I was charged more for what really was a swedish/relaxing massage (not a sport massage). I went to Scott and he was able to identify where the trouble spots were as if he could see them. He was extremely knowledgable and explained what he was addressing as he worked. Afterwards, I immediately felt the difference just when I walked, and I did not feel "beat up" as I have felt from past experiences when I have requested firmer work to address the tightness. Not only was he very knowledgeable and professional, but more reasonably priced than the services I had previously used, that didn't come close to his knowledge and professionalism. I feel so lucky to have connected with Skillz Physical Therapy! I was previously a client of Athletico. But after my most recent sports injury--a strain or tear of the calf muscle--they couldn't fit me in for 6 weeks. I couldn't wait that long to address the injury, and really, who could?
After a lengthy search, I discovered Skillz and owner Aime Maranan. Aime was able to schedule an assessment for me the VERY NEXT DAY. What a relief! During the assessment, I was impressed with both her functional approach and her breadth and depth of knowledge. She determined that my lower back was the true source of the problem.
Aime designed a program for me and gave me a likely recovery timeline of 3 weeks. I worked with the excellent Skillz staff twice a week, plus home exercises.Three weeks is exactly the amount of time it took me to fully recover and return to pickleball, yoga, gyrotonic, and weight training. I couldn't believe I was able to recover that quickly.
In addition to compassionate, knowledgeable, and highly trained staff, the Skillz space is spotless, and their equipment is state of the art. No need to look any further.

I recommend Dr. Kuan, whose help I sought for some extremely painful and inconvenient ailments whose symptoms had recurred more frequently until I began treatment with him.For three months, I had regular appointments and no incidents with the various organs that had been troubling me for almost two years.I was able to live pain-free and improve my nutritional uptake during these months, the time it took to get diagnosed and treated with surgery. I do attribute that to Dr. Kuan's care.In addition, on my most recent treatment, post-surgery, I was in a lot of pain and discomfort all day, but ended up very glad not to have canceled my appointment. I literally felt my battered organs relaxing and the pain melting away, from the beginning and all through the treatment that day. I walked out like a new man, having the most dramatic improvement I have ever felt at a doctor's office.I am confident that Dr. Kuan's methods were helpful for me living a better life at a very difficult time.
