Doctors of Physical Therapy in Evanston offers expert, individualized care to its patients. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and provides a great service, with exceptional attention given to each patient. The clinic is clean and well-organized, with a helpful and accommodating team. Patients praise the therapists' whole-body approach, including the development of personalized treatment plans and home exercise programs. With a focus on evidence-based care, the clinic has helped patients achieve significant improvements in their conditions, such as chronic headaches and neck discomfort. Direct Access allows patients to choose where they receive physical therapy, and the clinic works closely with patients and their physicians to ensure the best possible outcomes.
For a little over a month I have been working with Doctors of Physical Therapy on rehabbing a troublesome knee. The facility I attend is small, which I enjoy for promoting less distractions during sessions. There is an atmosphere of focused attention on patients along with a sense of proffessional camaraderie which has encouraged healing for me. My therapist, Taylor, has been creative in finding additional stretches and positions to promote healing the knee as well as supporting whole body alignment and movement. This has been my first physical therapy experience, and will be a standard for a next.
The therapists at DPT made a real difference in how I move through my active Senior life. They have taught me movements to relieve pain and also techniques to prevent pain that used to routinely follow my activities. They had a specific plan just for me ; nothing “ cookie- cutter” in their thoughtful approach to a higher functioning life!
I have experienced significant change in my condition. I came from another location where I knew I wasn't receiving the type of care I needed for a knee replacement. I was going there and repeating the same thing I was doing at home, so what was the point? After two weeks of nothing, I canceled my remaining appointments with them, and went over to Doctors of physical therapy. From Day 1 I left walking better, DAY ONE!! The name is Doctors of Physical Thearpy, and that's because they really are Doctors, and you tell the difference right away! Especially when it comes to the manual treatment of your injury.
