“This is the first optometrist I've ever gone to. The office is located in Pelton Plaza which is a small shopping area in downtown San Leandro. The office is in the corner but unfortunately parking can sometimes be very difficult to find. If there is parking, it's metered at about $1.50 per hour. The office itself is pretty small with four chairs for waiting and I think two or three cubicle-like exam rooms. The desk staff are usually pretty nice and accommodating, although I will say I've previously interacted with someone there who seemed really impatient with me which I didn't appreciate (not sure if they still work there now). The optometrists themselves are very professional and understanding, I've worked with two of them before and both were kind and explained everything to me that I needed to know! También ellos tienen traductoras por hispanohablantes. Since the office is small, the selection of glasses was small, too. I've gone before and they had almost no glasses on display, but today they had a bigger selection, just not as much as other places I've seen. They have a variety of brands like Gucci, Versace, Mont Blanc, Prada, etc.. I think the staff can help you select frames that are not on display either since they can access the website of frames. Overall this place has good service for optometry but may be inconvenient to access and can feel cramped at times. The selection of frames on display is OK at best but if you are really picky about your frames, you may want to look elsewhere.“

“Dr. Geronimo always asks about my eye care & past eye issues. You can tell she loves her job & enjoys helping others. Clarissa is the best @ helping me pick out my glasses & gives her honest opinions. She is very patient & always gives me options on how to best utilize my FSA funds. The office is always clean, bright, & welcoming. I actually look forward to this yearly doctor's appointment.“

“Dr. Kamin is a great eye doctor. I went to another eye doctor two times because my vision was very blurry, and I could not focus on paperwork. I decided to make an appointment Dr. Kamin's office because I can conveniently shop at Costco afterwards and I am very glad I did. I cannot believe I paid more than twice the amount of money at the first eye doctor. Dr. Kamin really knows what he is doing and took his time with me to make sure I got the right prescription. I am taking a lot of classes this year, so I really appreciate his efforts. He is a knowledgeable professional and I would recommend him to anyone.“

“I was tired of wearing glasses and decided to look into Lasix. I made an appointment for a consultation. The doctor, Dr. Patel, said that I wasn't a candidate for Lasix because I had cataracts. I recall that another optometrist had told me that I had congenital cataracts but it wasn't bad at that time. Dr. Patel said that if my cataracts was removed, it would improve my sight. I got cataracts removed in both eyes and the staff were very thorough in explaining the procedure and post procedure. Everything went very smoothly for both eyes. I could see improvement right away. Colors were more vibrant and not as muted. I'm also a year out from having the surgery and the aftercare had been great. I see the optometrist every few months to monitor my progress. I am very appreciative of Turner Eye Institute for restoring my sight.“

“*This is a franchise, so although I am reviewing Site for Sore Eyes, remember that each location will behave differently circumstances dependent*This location continues to surprise and care! Repairing my son's broken glasses at no charge. Wow!!! Who are these guys? Do they fly around after work and rescue kitten stuck in talk trees as well? Wouldn't surprise me....This business, this business is my HERO FOR THE MONTH! Why? Be because I took in two broken pairs of glasses, the brown pair on the left of the attached pic had no ear pieces, and they repaired them at no cost, charge, or complaint! Although this sort of thing was standard in business for the first 30 years of my life, in the last 20, caring and a commitment to performing services or providing goods meant for people have taken LAST SEAT in the list of business mission. The first, more often than not, being to obtain the currency I have available, while my needs tend to never enter the equation! This is the type of ‘right headed’ business mind set that MUST be rewarded! For affordable lenses, frames, and compassionate service, seek this location out before attempting any other for the same thing. Seriously! Tell them Yobi’s review influenced you. They need to know the difference their approach makes in regards to contrasting networking strategies!“
