Everyone knows how to straighten it, but haircare is a science and styling is an art. Shakela is a scientist and artiste. She gave me a natural cut (the right way! I’m in California visiting my boyfriend and needed my hair done but didn’t know anyone to ask for a good salon. I found her online and was pleased to see she was walking distance. When I called her and explained what I needed she made me feel like I was taking to an old friend and invited me over. When I walked out I looking like I was ready for the red carpet! “I am writing this post in response to the negative comment I read regarding Lulu's hair cutting techniques... First off, I was shocked to read the post regarding the woman with her curly haircut catastrophe. My experience with Lulu couldn't be more opposite, she saved me from my COVID hair debacle. I literally called Kim ( the owner ) in a panic to see if she could fit me in, she was full but gave me the option to see her assistant. I replied, "no thank you, I need someone with far more experience." Kim reiterated that Lulu was new to Lacquer, not to hair. Desperate as I was I went in and OMG- she worked that sh*t out! Not only did she fix my hair it grew out beautifully. My second appointment I had highlights and a cut, once again AMAZING, to the point where stylists have stopped me on the street to ask who my stylist is.I would also like to mention that I dated a stylist who was " Vidal " trained and anyone who knows anything about the business also knows how highly regarded these stylists are. Point being, I am not new to having amazing haircuts. Most importantly, she will cut off what needs to be cut so you look your best; trust the process, she's AMAZING!“
