I am writing to profess my newfound undying loyalty with Ash Hair Co.. A few months ago I received a cut and color from Jules. Right away all of the friendly professionals at Ash Hair made me feel so welcome. Jules sat me down and was able to decode my ridiculous, often unintelligible, rhetoric detailing what I wanted done to my hair. I showed a few photos, but contradicted myself constantly! As I do. Jules said "I think I got it ;)" and boy did she ever! I am a bit embarrassed to announce, by way of always leaving things to the last minute, and moving around constantly, I don't usually see the same hairdresser more than once. I am also quite picky - and no one is ever able to really do the job absolutely perfectly. That was until Jules.... Jules was meticulous, and completely detail-oriented in a way I have never found before. It made me feel like she actually CARED. All the issues I've had in the past with my color or bangs or whatever it may be were nowhere to be found. She was deeply intuitive, in every way, and had such an eye for my hair on the first try. The gift of this can not be overstated. I am so excited to see her again! If you want a BANG for your buck I can not recommend Jules enough. She's the real deal.

Absolutely amazing massage. Was the first time my daughter ever had a Thai massage, and now she's hooked. Perfect pressure and stretching. Thanks so much for the healing! It was like yoga, but it does you instead of the other way around. My neck was so much more flexible afterwards.
Rejuvative is absolutely amazing! The Cryoshock therapy WORKS WONDERS on stubborn fat!! I’ve don’t it twice now in 2 years and it is amazing! You also need to eat well and exercise a bit, but that’s is good for us anyhow and it is assisting the Cryoshock be most effective. And, Elizabeth is a wealth of knowledge and a ball of energy. She is really great to work with!! I highly recommend!

Misha’s Salon is wonderful. She is collaborative, imaginative, kind and lovely to work with. I started seeing Misha with red colored hair, and we had a blast mixing toners and testing new shades. Now, I’m back to blonde highlights and Misha made the transition flawless and fun. She gives a great haircut and uses high quality products.

I’ve been to a lot of nail salons, but Resomary Nails Spa seriously has the best nail designs in the area. I came in with a photo from Instagram, and they replicated it perfectly—even better, honestly. The attention to detail was amazing, and the nail tech was super skilled with fine line work and gradients. I got so many compliments the next day! If you’re looking for trendy, professional nail art that actually lasts, this is the place to go in Mill Valley. I'm already planning my next set. Highly recommend!

I was in town to see my son, Christopher at noon and I was early. I just drove by and saw the sign and walked in and they took me right away. Sandra did My Pedicure and another gal, I didn't hear her name and I know they told me. I should've asked. Anyway, she specializes in ingrown toenails and I had one for quite a while. Era Salon is fantastic! I have been coming here for years and tried out a variety of services. I always come back here for the eyebrow wax, upper lip wax, and an eyelash tint. I also always request Tao, she is the owner, and very kind and consistent. All the staff there however is great and hardworking. This place is also my mom's go to spot for a manicure and pedicure. I highly recommend era salon! It can get busy so call ahead to book an appointment- they are great about answering the phone & responsiveness.

I was recently referred to Carla Madison the owner of salon Maddison by someone who had amazing hair. I have been going to a salon nearby but was starting to feel that the prices were getting unreasonable. Not only is Carlas salon beautiful and relaxing, her cut and color blew me away. It’s really important to me to love my hair and I haven’t been this happy with my hair in as long as I can remember!! Carla’s techniques are unique and different- techniques I hadnt seen in the past even at very bougie boutique salons. Also, she uses a color brand that I had not heard of but is very specialized and it makes a big difference.
Not only all of that good stuff, but this too: after our initial consultation when I told her what I wanted- she later spent time looking at pictures and sending them to make sure we were on the same page. I haven’t had that level of professionalism and service ever - I don’t think.
If you’re considering trying her, don’t hesitate because you will be so happy!!
Joy is a real Pro.....I've been going to her for a long time and would not go anywhere else even though I moved to Sonoma County. I have challenging hair and she always manages to create a lovely cut and color. My husband also has started going and his hair has never looked better. Joy is an artist!
With the caveat of previous reviews and acknowledgement that this is an institution, a neighborhood gem, a social hub and haven for women with stories to tell and share, I was referred to Lea several years ago when I was looking for someone to re-perm my hair. That's right. I said "perm." I know, I know, but it's not the 80's anymore and it doesn't have to be synonymous with frizz. The trick is, few salons offer the service. I explained to her what I was looking for: a gentle wave to add body and shape to my otherwise straight Asian hair. I like being able to wash my hair, let it air dry. The perm lets me feel like I've styled it when in fact I'm incredibly lazy. She asked for enough time to buy the right green curlers for the job and we scheduled for a morning about a month later. It's a big job. My hair falls near my waist and I have a lot of it. She usually alternates between green and coral rods to provide a mix of tighter and looser curls. While I only tend to visit once a year, Lea has remembered me from year to year and she's thoughtful and sweet, always doing her best to keep me comfortable while I sit under the heater or reclining in the sink with my head heavy with curlers and neutralizer. The results are worth it: beautiful waves that last for months. (It also doesn't hurt that her prices are reasonable!)

This is a review for Jackie Larkins, who did hair for my wedding this past weekend (for myself, my 6 bridesmaids, and my mom). Jackie was incredibly responsive throughout the whole planning process, and she really listened to my feedback after the trial. She was so much fun on the day, and moved efficiently but carefully through everyone, keeping our timeline on track. She gave us all updo's that complemented each other but were unique to each person, and my hair stayed perfectly in place despite crazy heat and 3 hours of intense dancing! I'm very glad I chose Jackie for my big day and would recommend her to anyone else looking for special occasion hair.

Every service I have received here has been excellent, and the entire experience (booking, front desk staff, lounge etc) was great. Their pre-inflation prices were incredible for the quality of service. Things have definitely gotten pricier, but still within the industry standard, and since the service is so good, I still think it's a good value!

My garden was overgrown with weeds and really needed help. I interviewed 4 different landscaping companies and Bill had the best quote for the big job needed. He completely landscaped my garden according to my vision of having a sort of French country garden. He installed a drip irrigation system that continues to save water use several years hence. He also provides monthly upkeep and is always responsive to my phone calls. I don't know what happened with the prior customer review, but I know from my personal experience with Bill that he would give an honest response regarding feasibility of landscaping a garden for a reasonable cost. I wouldn't use anyone else as he has proven himself trustworthy over the three years he has worked on the upkeep of his design. I love driving up to my home and seeing the beautiful, lush garden surrounding it. It makes such a difference!
This is the coolest secret hangout in Mill Valley. Such a special place to pop in and chill, or bring a friend and enjoy a cup of tea and a game. Not only are there several really cool chill spaces, there seems to be an endless supply of tea and sometimes cookies that just magically appear. The art installations are top notch. What a unique find and creative idea, we are so lucky to have a place like this. It's kinda hard to explain, so just go check it out for yourself and you'll see what I mean.

Going to Align is like going on a great relaxing mini vacation. If you need an adjustment, Barara is your woman, she know exactly what shes doing . I first went there for a vertigo cure which she amazing fixed in short order. Now I go to her for maintance on my neck which is where I hold my stress and she can always get it!
My other reccomendation is for Diane the magic fingers of all masseuses, you simply float out after she works on you. She also is very knowledgable, listens and nails it!

Excellent experience here with Dr Whitlock. My only regret is not coming sooner. She diagnosed my Labrador (osteochondritis of the hock) within minutes whereas other vets over multiple years had x-rayed the wrong areas and had suspected other diagnoses. While my dog’s condition is chronic, it is well managed under Dr Whitlock’s suggestions. She is calm, compassionate and patient, making you feel not rushed and comfortable to ask questions. While this care is expensive, I did find the comparable rates competitive for the area and never felt pressured to pay for anything. I am a o grateful to have such a wonderful vet practice in the area. Thank you!

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. May and everyone at Aggie Animal Dental Center. My greyhound, Dax, managed to break three canines in five months, and their team performed vital pulp therapy on four of his teeth. Their skill and professionalism are truly impressive, and I fully trust their expertise.
One thing I really appreciate is how thorough they are. At the end of each visit, Dr. May personally goes over everything in detail, including Dax’s CT scan, and they even send me photos from his procedure. It’s such a thoughtful touch and really shows how much they care.
Having a dedicated anesthesiologist on site gives me tremendous peace of mind, especially with a dog like Dax who has had multiple procedures. I’ll absolutely be returning for his routine cleanings, and I’ll be recommending Aggie Animal Dental Center to all my friends and family.
The only minor downside is that they book up about a month in advance, but honestly, that just speaks to how good they are. Definitely worth the wait!

Honest, thoughtful, and caring veterinary clinic with reasonable pricing. Unlike the other practices I have been to they do not push unnecessary testing or treatments and are pragmatic when assessing the situation. This may be due to the fact that they are a private practice and have not been bought out by private equity firms like so many other veterinary practices, so they are not under the same pressure to increase profits. I live in SF and happily drive across the bridge to take both of my dogs here, my only regret is that we did not know about them sooner. Highly recommend.

If you are looking for one on one pilates instruction I highly recommend Carmen Zeni. And if you haven't considered it I would encourage trying it. I am starting my third year of pilates with Carmen. I am an athlete; played college tennis and still do. Pilates - is critical to my ability, at 74, to play singles 2,3 times a week. And to work on my overall strength and flexibility and posture. Carmen has a rare combination deep pilates knowledge, knowledge of the human body and people skills. My flexibility and body strength has increased since I started and Carmen has been great helping me rehab from various injuries when needed. Her studio has great gear including a reformer, trapeze table and core align. If you want to learn pilates or expand your work Carmen's studio wonderful.

I had an amazing experience at Pure Thai Accupressure Massage! I booked an oil massage because my muscles were extremely tight from work, especially my neck, shoulders, and back.
The therapist was very skilled and knew exactly where the tension was. The pressure was perfect, and I felt so much relief during the massage. After the session, the tightness was almost completely gone, and I felt relaxed, refreshed, and pain-free.

Affordable pricing for a service that benefits your health in Marin. It a fair price for the quality of services, and I’m sure many agree! Now it’s $45…. I don’t think that’s reasonable anymore. Not only is this kind of body work amazing but the practitioners here all have lots of other and varied skills that can really help you get out of the bind you're in with your body. They do a lot of work to release trauma impingements that cause downstream pain and dysfunctions. As well as fix any type of recent postural dysfunction that's causing pain. They work on your body to find what muscles are being recruited in any and all types of movements and reawaken and engage proper muscles to help correct any imbalance that's causing an issue. They know a lot about the body and reawakening it. All the practitioners work together to help figure out your quickest path to recovery. And everyone is super nice there from a practitioners to the office managers. I had many issues with my feet and all types of things with my back from being in a wheelchair for a bit. They straightened up my back on one visit and kept it maintained that way with maintenance visits, also did wonders to correcting the strength and posture in my feet. Highly recommend.
Had pain from my lower back to my buttock that, despite a massage from a PT was worsening over two weeks. Walking, esp. up/down stairs was getting increasingly painful and I thought I might have to postpone an upcoming trip. I found Chris, with his affable, easy-going manner, and he seemed to know exactly what was going on. One day after a session with acupuncture, cupping and moxa, there was no more pain! I'll be returning to Chris in future.
Samantha saved me! For over 10 years I've had chronic, sometimes debilitating pain in my achilles tendons due to an adverse reaction to an antibiotic (Cipro). I recently had a severe flare up and was unable to walk more than a block or two. After seeing Samantha for several weeks, my ability to walk improved SIGNIFICANTLY. She got me to the point where I was able to take a trip to Japan (which I had considered cancelling) and fully enjoy our visit, walking almost 20K steps a day. It felt miraculous! I am deeply grateful for her care.

Dr. Sam is the best! My sports are dance, weightlifting, HIIT, running, and I discovered Sam through a fellow dancer friend when I mentioned I had overtrained my glute. Dr. Sam is a bodywork mercenary, using whatever means necessary (acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, massage, physical therapy exercises, stretching) to help you feel better. I always feel like a million bucks after her appointments. Can't recommend her enough!

Raymond healed my very painful shoulder three years ago ,that I had suffered with for over a year after a fall . It felt better after the first session but took weekly visits and then bi weekly until it was completely gone .I'm sure I could have had a shoulder replacement if left up to Kaiser . In the process he also healed the arthritic pain in my hands and got rid of an ugly ganglion on my wrist that had been there since my second child was a toddler . His office is lovely with individual , warm and artful rooms with soothing meditative music . He creates a safe healing environment .
