I highly recommend Dr. Garfola for shockwave therapy. Dr. Garfola is patient, kind, takes the time to listen and explain the procedure and what might be happening. She's easy to communicate with and never pushes you beyond your comfort level. I have tried almost everything for an ankle injury that is over 2 yrs old. I saw multiple podiatrists, got cortisone shots, MRIs, and saw orthopedists. Nobody could pinpoint the problem and one recommended surgery even though there wasn't anything she could see in the MRI. I went from not being able to walk or exercise more than 20 minutes for over 2 years (!) to being able to walk 40-50 minutes with little to no pain in 8-10 weeks. I intend to continue seeing her for shockwave therapy as it is the only treatment that has worked for me!

Caring Vet, vet techs& office staff. Your pet is treated like their family ! Instructions are verbal & written. The Dr let me know how I could try to help my cat loose a little weight, which in turn would lesson his arthritic pain. She used a gentle voice while doing her exam to keep “Mr Bunny” as ease. Techs were equally gentle and fully explained their treatments. I was parked next to a terrified yellow Lab. The staff came out to the car to treat him so he didn’t have to go into back clinic. WHAT MORE COULD ANYONE ASK FOR !!!!!!!! Awesome !

I just finished having Marin Wood power wash and stain my cedar shingle house and decks, and refinish the front door on my house in Mill Valley. The job included repairing some dry rot that developed on one of the deck railings. This is the third time I have used them in the 26 years I have lived in the house. As in the past, the job was done perfectly. The crew showed up promptly, cleaned up at the end of each day, and every one of the workers was very professional and pleasant to deal with. It's hard to imagine anyone doing a better job. And, Paul, the owner, and Romy, the foreman, are two of the nicest people on the planet.
I was impressed with the compassionate and thorough care I received as a walk-in on a recent Saturday. I was grateful for a short wait but even more for the thoughtful questions Dr. Martin asked and the information she provided. Alex took my blood pressure, did x-rays, and also answered my questions. In fact, the x-rays were sent to a radiologist and the report was received while I was finishing up my visit! While it would have been EVEN better if I'd been able to make an appointment in advance, I was very well cared for at Medical Center of Marin as a walk-in. Thank you.

Rayza opened little hands in March of 2024. My son Ziki was her first child at 8 months and now she has a thriving in home daycare. Her set up is amazing with a separate unit dedicated to the daycare. She keeps it immaculate and I was amazed at how much she dedicated her evenings and weekends to continuing education on early childhood issues which was evident when speaking with her everyday.
We just transitioned to preschool and it was bittersweet because Ziki loved going to “school” every day. I could see important things be learned - like finding something in the playground and bringing it to me rather than putting it in his mouth. Offering me a turn to share. So many little gestures I know he learned at daycare.

Sonja did a wonderful job cutting my hair, and I am extremely pleased. Going to a new hairstylist can be an anxious experience for me and she did a wonderful job during the consult putting me at ease. Her layering in particular is really excellent. 10/10 experience.

Mina does such a great job with gel manicures and pedicures and is just a pleasure to spend time with. She has a wide selection of chrome powders and knows the technique for application (which isn't always the case at other salons in Marin). She makes sure you're happy with every detail and offers helpful advice when it comes to healthy nails. Her prices are also reasonable. I'd definitely recommend her!

Good job, but vey little massage (none on manicure) and inordinate time to get a pedi/mani done. I almost needed to skip pedi due to time constraints, they do not take CC, Venmo, or Paypal. Only cash or Zelle. Again they did nice work, but beware before going of their limitations.

I've been going to Renee for facials for years. Park Place Salon is such a darling spot tucked away in downtown Corte Madera. There's a customer parking lot with off street parking behind the building and I can usually find a spot there. I met Renee and her business partner, Tatiana, years ago when I worked at a beloved neighborhood restaurant. She was always a delightful, sweet customer, so when it came time for me to treat myself to a facial, she came to mind! Her facial room is always so relaxing and lovely and the whole salon is small, but charming. You can immediately tell how much pride they take in each detail, while their word of mouth business is so robust that I was surprised to learn - despite being in business for years, they weren't on Yelp! I look forward to each visit and also rely on Renee for the Sothy's moisturizer she carries. I always come away with my skin feeling lustrous and refreshed!

I recently started getting massages with Nelly and she is a true professional. Before each session she checks in about how I’m feeling and asks which areas I want to focus on. During the massage, she makes it feel like we’re working on the problem together—I focus on breathing properly while she targets the tight, painful spots, and it honestly makes the session twice as effective. She’s also very easy to talk to, which makes the whole experience even more comfortable.
The studio itself has a wonderful atmosphere—spacious, beautiful rooms where you actually want to stay for a few minutes after the massage to rest and reset. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful, and I love the little touches like water and nuts available after the session.

As a patient for the past 7 years, I can testify that Nadine is a healer unlike any other! She listens closely to what your issues and concerns are, then uses a variety of tools and techniques to really treat you as opposed to finding a temporary fix. If you are someone who does not like the traditional "cracking" style stereotypical of chiropractic treatments, then never fear - Nadine has other gentle techniques that are just as effective if not more! I've never had a medical
professional care so deeply for my wellbeing and believe everyone should be so fortunate to have a Nadine in their lives!

Doug is arguably one of the best ART practitioners in the country. He has excellent knowledge of human anatomy, specifically how muscles, tendons, and ligaments are interconnected. If you have muscle issue/knot, Doug is the guy to see. He's helped me numerous times. Highly recommended.
Marylin had me diagnosed within 2 mins and went straight to work 'working it out' with deep tissue massage, stretch and a neck adjustment I had been in desperate need of. It was March of 2003 when I first visited Dr Harte.
I was a super-fit (by the world's standards) 42 year-old-- but experienced daily pain, numbness, extreme loss of movement, no real sleep (as I couldn't lay down comfortably) couldn't stand up (my job of standing behind a salon chair was becoming impossible) had great difficulty driving a car, as I couldn't turn my head to see oncoming traffic, and even enjoying a meal was a problem as my TMJ was at an extreme stage with many dentists trying to solve that issue with...drilling !
at this time, because I was extremely fit and 'active' - I thought my debilitating subluxations were just a regrettable part of my life... I was searching for a surgeon as I thought that was my only option to 'correct' my pain-filled crooked body.
Thank God I saw Dr Harte's story of his chiropractic practice in the Pacific Sun- he was way more knowledgeable about the body, the immune system and how everything was about adjusting the whole body, allowing it to function and heal itself as it was meant to... His words made perfect sense and I decided to see him before I scheduled the surgery.

I simply love the quality of instruction! As a fully trained yoga instructor, I appreciate the unique sequencing that many teachers @Metta offer each and every time. Gillian Confair, Stephanie Phelan, and July have truly impressed me with the layering of very refined instruction. I am in grad school and the 7am classes are super convenient to start the day grounded and embodied. Lastly, I love the community aspect.
I’ve been doing yoga for about 15 yrs now and try to go when traveling in US and internationally. Some great studios out there but this is still my favorite which is great because I live locally. While slightly different approaches all the teachers are consistent with their intensity and high energy.It’s Susan’s studio so she has the following and her classes during the week are usually 6 / 8 / 9:15 am weekdays and 8 / 9:15 am weekends. Heather probably has the second biggest following and does body sculpt on Tue and Thu at noon with other power yoga classes throughout the week. Obviously refer to actual schedule but like I said all the teachers are consistent.Some things to note:* Since moving 100 ft to other side of the complex the studio is intentionally much warmer. Its power flow, not bikram, but as hot as bikram. Bring a towel and drink a lot of water even if you think you don’t sweat* Not important but interesting compared to other studios I’ve been to but 30-50%+ of the classes are made up of males. Not sure what that says but it is interesting.* Might be the only studio that has a strong following from the students and athletes from the local high schools for the 6 am and weekend classes. I don’t think I would attend a 6 am anything when I was in high school* if you are going on a holiday, especially major holidays (thanksgiving eve / day, xmas eve / day, etc.) get there early as the space fills up.* there are no bells or bowls that make ringing sounds. Studio is high energy and so is the music.Anyway, great studio with great teachers who are super welcoming no matter your level. They just want you there.Not sure why it took me so long to post ?
Michael's therapy is amazingly effective. Over the past 9 months he first fixed my 6 month long frozen shoulder (first referral) in about 6 weeks when no one else could, relieved long-held upper back, neck and shoulder pain-- and taught me how to self treat it on-going with special exercises and small use-at-home devices, and rehabbed me from a bad fall affecting my right elbow, wrist and down to the fingertips. He also taught me how to self treat occasional very low back pain -- which works incredibly well. He finds pains I didn't know I had, and I leave always feeling better-- if a little sore from him getting right to the issue. I highly recommend him for diagnoses and treatment of physical bodily problems-- he figures it all out quickly just by touch, finds the pain, and diminishes it on the first visit even for bad problems.
Truly one of the most healing massages I’ve ever had. I struggle with SI joint, rotator cuff and neck/shoulder pain and I felt all the areas were addressed and are on the mend. These areas of pain are due to my lifestyle (somewhat active but also chronically at a desk job), and I wish I had sought out sports medicine sooner. I noticed a difference after my first massage. In the past more “spa like” massages haven’t really addressed my issues and provided temporary relief vs. addressing the deep routed issues. Highly recommend trying out Sports Massage Marin, they are knowledgeable, kind, clean and conveniently located.

Kristin is a very special Bodyworker who exudes vitality, wisdom and intuitive care... I was excited to try the Crossfiber technique as I believe the modality is just what my body, or really my fascia needed. I am very fussy about my bodywork, but can say happily that you must try Kristin's session! In particular I used this session to integrate some intense few weeks of deep personal work, and recommend you do the same.
Every visit is an amazing healing experience. Every therapist is so good and well-experienced. Whenever i need a good deep tissue or back massage, this place is my go-to.

If you have been struggling with tennis elbow, I strongly recommend Allen. Don’t try cortisone, give this a try first. Allen is 100% focused on tennis (and golf) elbow. His approach is primarily on using massage techniques to stimulate the rehabilitation of tendons and ligaments but also on stretching and strength exercises. I’ve been to about five sessions and feel very much that my tennis elbow issues are close to resolved.
I love this place and the people that work here! I have been assigned to every therapist, each one with a unique perspective and approach,; yet each therapist was focused on my individual needs and results. It's actually a trea to do physical therapy with this group of caring and competent individuals. I always leave with a smile on my face!

I went to see Nura when I experienced some back pain, and between the acupuncture and body work, she has been fantastic in helping me treat both the acute pain and also help manage/mitigate recurrence of the pain points.
