2415 Mission St, San Francisco“my favorite yoga studio in the city! they really have deep respect and understanding of the practice of yoga and the classes are incredibly engaging. i love the hot yoga sessions i feel that the temperature is perfect to get that extra stretch.
my only feedback is i wish the hot box yoga class was a bit more chill and treated as a yoga session and not a workout class. i feel that already the instructor is encouraging us the whole time to push ourselves which is nice but he doesn't give us time to practice mindfulness in silence and try to arrive to mental and physical stillness as he's talking and encouraging us during the entire move. i wish that it was more like the regular tuesday hot yoga where he would give pointers and then let us hold for 10-20 seconds in silence. additionally, i partake during the hot box yoga session and so maybe its a combination of also being high and wishing the atmosphere of the class was more relax as i am more relax myself!“

635 8th St, San Francisco“I love club Pilates (8th St). All trainers are amazing, but want to specially mention Rose and Julie. They really pay attention to you and help you get the movements / postures right. The instructions are very clear and both are very patient and pleasant.“

90 Eureka Dr, Pacifica“Cator changed my life around after a car accident, and in an ongoing way has helped my children and me through ups and downs. I feel calm and more clearly able to see the decisions I need to make in the space after a session. I enthusiastically recommend her to anyone I know who is looking for well being.“

3729 Balboa St, San Francisco“A great community yoga studio with generous owners, welcoming staff and knowledgeable instructors who offer options for beginners as well as advanced students. I recently had a one hour massage and bodywork with Stephanie Logan. She’s a gentle, intuitive practitioner who tailored her approach to just what my body and spirit wanted.
Stephanie guided on a journey through my chakras with her gently touch and voice. During the session I could feel my body relaxing and energy that had been dammed in certain places beginning to connect and flow again. Trusting her was easy. The after effects of the release I felt continue to flow in me.“

1615 Oceana Blvd, Pacifica“I was passing thru en route to start my yoga/meditation retreat. As a long time practitioner, I know how grounding yoga can be when traveling. Tommy, the owner of the studio keeps it real! The heat is dialed in, classes are fun & challenging and the community vibes are high! It was my first in studio class after several years of home practice and I truly felt inspired to get back into the hot room after taking Tommy’s 5pm 60 mins. Bikram class. I felt that euphoric high all over again! I wanted to go back the next day and ended up taking 4 classes in 2 days. I highly recommend taking the inferno hot pilates & yin yoga to complement the bikram practice.
The outdoor showers after a hot class are a nice addition to the studio amenities.
Thank you Tommy for your inspiration. It’s nice to take classes from teachers who have been committed to the practice and community over the years.
I will be back! I’m happy to call Pacifica Beach Yoga my home away from home studio.“

1548 Stockton St, San Francisco“Very nice studio. Super clean. Teachers and staff were amazing. Definitely a work out but love the challenge though very patient instructors.“
“I’ve been attending classes here for at least eight months and I really recommend it. The space is clean, the instructors are great (my fav is Cat) and the workout itself is intense. Well worth the price of the class!“
9 - 11:30AM
1694 Union St, San Francisco“I did a drop in class as I was traveling through the area. It was super easy to book a drop in, and they had towels and mats to rent. I took Nicole's vinyasa flow class and it was fantastic! Her cues were easy to follow but also allowed to challenge or modify to your abilities. I will definitely keep this studio in mind if I end up with some extra time in San Francisco again.“

414 Mason St #705, San Francisco“I love Rae Studios! I’m so lucky to that I found a place that is so passionate about dance & community! Whether it’s a weekly class, special event or performance, it has been so special to be a part of it. The people & joy of dancing make every week a good one. Big love to Jess and her whole team that make Rae Studios what it is!“

300 Pine St, San Francisco“Had my first class here at Barry's a few days ago. The staffers are informative and helpful, the space is clean and seemingly well-maintained; the class and the instructors were very clear with their coaching for the group class. The space felt very disorienting at first with low-light and loud sound, but once you get settled, it seems fine. My observation is around hygiene and cleanliness. During the class sessions, no one seems to be wiping down their equipments in between use, which seemed very gross especially during a sweat-inducing class. Perhaps there's more encouragement from the instructions to do so during the session?“
“I have not taken a class here in a while, but I remember the owner being super friendly and a good hard class. It's Lagree, so if you like Lagree, this is a good place. If you want classical, contemporary, or in-between, there are other options.“
9AM - 5PM
Sacramento St, San Francisco“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Jenise Is the Pilates Wizard I Didn’t Know I Needed
If you’re looking for a Pilates instructor who will fix your posture, strengthen your core, and gently roast you into becoming a better human, Jenise is your girl. I swear she has X‑ray vision , she can spot a wobbly hip or a lazy rib from across the room like some kind of alignment detective.
Before Jenise, my “core” was basically decorative. Now? I sneeze and feel muscles I didn’t know existed. My body is stronger, taller, and slightly terrified of her plank variations, which is exactly the energy I was hoping for.
Her classes are the perfect mix of “I’m dying” and “Wow, I’m amazing.” She somehow makes you laugh while also making you question every life choice that led you to this hundred‑series. And the wild part is… you keep coming back because it works.
If you want real results, real laughs, and an instructor who will lovingly bully your body into greatness, Jenise is the one. My spine is straighter, my abs are louder, and my confidence is thriving.“

1863 El Camino Real, Burlingame“After nearly a year of attending multiple classes per week with many of the instructors, I have only positive things to say. I found myself wanting to return to the studio daily.
The format of the classes, the energy of the instructors, the sense of community, and the convenient logistics all contribute to creating a virtuous cycle for fitness.
Here are some specific observations:
1. Each instructor brings a unique perspective, and in my experience, they complement each other remarkably well.
2. For Pilates: I've had the opportunity to attend several classes with Samara and Akiko. They run sessions that are accessible for newcomers yet challenging for more experienced participants. Their sequencing, modifications, and ability to read and manage the group's energy make them exceptional instructors.
3. For Yoga: The classes I took followed the Bikram sequence, which is fairly consistent. However, each instructor has their own distinctive style, so you're bound to find one who feels just right for you.
4. Logistics: The studio setup is highly convenient, from parking to restrooms, changing rooms, and lockers. With a wide variety of classes at all hours, finding a convenient session is rarely an issue. The only reason not to attend would be if you simply didn't feel like it--not because of availability or scheduling.
5. The community is outstanding. Both the owners, Samara and Sandy, and fellow students are incredibly supportive and always ready to lend a hand.
6. Pricing is also very reasonable, and the cold towels at the end of classes are a fan favorite!
At one point, I sustained an injury (unrelated to ELC). When I spoke with Sam and Sandy, they encouraged me to come in if I felt up to it, which I did. For several weeks, Sam personally assisted me with weights, mats, and towels (I couldn't carry anything myself), while other students helped with my crutches and kept me connected to my practice. I am deeply grateful--and perhaps a bit biased!“

399 Laurel St Suite 7, San Francisco“I’ve been working with Justin for rehabilitation of my right adductor, where I’ve had pain and limited external rotation for several years now. I've tried chiropractors and PTs before but nothing helped longterm. After just five Redcord Pilates sessions with him, I’ve experienced a remarkable improvement — the pain has significantly reduced, and my mobility is now on par with my left leg.
Justin is extremely knowledgeable about the Redcord system and skilled at identifying and addressing the root cause of movement issues. His sessions are thoughtfully structured, and he takes the time to explain each exercise and its purpose. He also gave me targeted exercises to do at home and in the gym, which, combined with our sessions, have made a huge difference in my recovery.
I highly recommend him to anyone dealing with pain, imbalance, or looking to restore proper movement.“

I love how it’s a really supportive place for women! Daniel, Tiff and Jenn taught me a lot in the lift&flex class every week.
I also recently had a baby and it was great to have instructors that know how to modify for pregnancy. I went to classes all the way up to my due date!
I went to my first postnatal class today (cardio dance with Nan) and was able to bring my baby too. Kwanua has created an amazing community at Powerplay.“

183 W Portal Ave, San Francisco“I have been coming to the Pilates Story studio for the last seven years and I can honestly say that I’ve never felt better, both physically and mentally, thanks to their magic touch and genuine care. Hye-Yeon, the owner, tailors our sessions every week to suit my needs and goals.

From the moment you step in, you’re welcomed into a warm and inviting environment. Whether it’s a personalized 1:1 session or a dynamic group class, the attention to detail and individualized care is unparalleled.
One of the most remarkable aspects of Pilates Story is the strong sense of community fostered by the owner. This isn’t just a place to work out; it’s a space where people connect, support, and celebrate each other. You genuinely feel like part of a family here, which is such a rare and special quality.
If you’re ready to transform your body and mind in a supportive and uplifting environment, Pilates Story is the place to be.

301 8th St Unit 250, San Francisco“Such a disagreeable experience with the support. The website doesn’t give any information regarding the memberships they offer. I was very interested by their studio so I decided to text them and ask what is the price of their memberships and what do they include (amount of classes per month, other perks). I’ve been doing some back and forth with them for the last week because they won’t tell me this basic information and are asking me to pay $50 for their introductory package to tell me more.
Edit: thanks for taking the time to address this. I’m sure you are doing an incredible work inside the studio; and I hope that raising this issue will enable you to work out the pricing communication to potential clients better in the future.“

2652 McAllister St, San Francisco“This online and in-person studio healed my body and spirit in ways no one else could:
I'd like to thank all the teachers for hard-but-fun pilates, cardio, and weightlifting classes, keeping me aligned, and healing me in ways I didn't think pilates could. Surprise! Studies show that people heal faster when they feel the healer genuinely wants them to heal. That's why I healed at Pilates School San Francisco.
It's different from other pilates studios I've been to because they:
- Make private and small pilates classes more affordable, size-diverse, BIPOC and LBGTQIA-friendly and welcoming to people of all abilities.
- Are funny!
- Talk about your back behind your back. They write down how to best work with your body.
- Host fun events with food so teachers and students can get to know each other outside of class.
- Give gentle, consensual, hands-on corrections and notice asymmetry in my body to help me be more self-aware when I sit, stand, and move.
- Spend more time trying to heal me than my healthcare insurance providers can.“

1738 Polk St, San Francisco“I loved working with Patti at Raven! As someone recovering from chronic back pain, having someone super hands-on with form is a big deal for me, and Patti was amazing. I always felt really safe and confident in her sessions, knowing I wouldn’t hurt myself again. Plus, I felt myself getting stronger since she made sure I was using the right muscles.
The studio is nice—quiet, clean, and just you and your instructor during privates so it's easy to focus. Since moving away from SF, this is one of the things I miss the most. I even tried a new studio, and during my intro session, they were blown away by how much I knew! They kept asking where I trained and for how long. Honestly, that’s all thanks to Patti. She’s the best!“

1452 Valencia St, San Francisco“I love this studio! I’ve been taking classes here for over 10 years. Classes tend to be very small (usually 3-6 people) and the instructors pay close attention and make suggestions as needed. This isn’t a cardio class. Classes focus on flexibility, strength, alignment, posture.
They have classes throughout the day which is great for me and there’s a good mix of mat, reformer, core-align, chair. I have also done one-on-one when I was recovering from an injury and had great results.“

“First time visiting this studio, it is sooo cute inside!! Truly sets the vibe for a great class💕 I took the 26&2 bikram yoga class with Sandra G and it was amazing. She is a great teacher who welcomes everyone with love and kindness. Her dialogue is spot on and even with microphone issues she made it work! Can’t wait to try another one of her yoga or Pilates classes!!“
