I bleach my hair once in a while, so my scalp is extra sensitive. The girl recommended I do the Repair & Anti Sensitivity Treatment (60min) with the add-on of Ginger Hair Nourishing Soak (20min) to help with my inflammation. The experience was phenomenal. Id have to say this is the best head spa I've tried so far in the Bay Area! My treatment came with a much needed shoulder massage, which I absolutely loved! I even fell asleep while she was blowdrying my hair on a reclining couch. I've never had my hair blowdried on a reclining couch before, so this was truly awesome! Dr. Angela is spectacular. I have tried acupuncture before but Dr. Angela is not only kind and extremely knowledgeable, but she takes the time she needs every appointment to ensure I leave happy and in much better condition than I arrived. She practices massage techniques alongside the acupuncture and asks questions to target my specific needs each time I visit. The staff is also wonderful and helpful. I love the space and appreciate that you can ask for a more private room if you need. I highly recommend Hongwei and have been singing their praises to my friends.

They even offer complimentary neck massage which was a great way to relax into the appointment in the middle of a busy day. To me George is the best around South Bay Area. Great communication. He takes care of all my concerns. George is creative and friendly. He has been here for almost 20 years. The hair salon is spacious and very clean. The whole process is relaxing and enjoyable. He always allocate 1 hour for my hair cut. I never see another customer in his place yet when I called a day earlier he only had two open slots.

I have always been to Japanese hair salon for my hair because they usually are very thorough checking details after hair cut. But I am so disappointed with the job done at Arakus. I told the hairdresser already that my left and right hair were uneven and he only fixed the parts I pointed without checking the rest. When I went home I checked again, it was obvious the cut was choppy and uneven. The next morning it was even worse. Someone from Arukas needs to fix this.
Arukas responded my feedback promptly and scheduled me a new appointment with a different hairdresser to accommodate my request. I do appreciate the sincere apology from the hairdresser and for his help getting me an urgent appointment with Wataru-san for fixing my hair. Thank you for the job well done, Wataru-san.

A solid place for a men's cut, $17 cash only. There is always a bit of a wait (on average 2-4 people), but there is plenty of seating and there are several barbers on duty so the wait is over pretty quick. The cut is pretty basic but can't be beat for the price.

De Anza nails is cheaper, faster, and lasts a month longer than the Japanese gel manicure I got at Loma Spa. I walked in on a whim, and in a rush, while waiting to pick my son up at school. They were so accommodating and kind. Some parts of the foot buffing hurt, but that might be because I inadvertently rushed them.
Wifey has had trouble finding Japanese/Korean/Chinese gel techniques in America plus her longtime favorites in LA and Bay Area left but after finding Bobo she has been satisfied.

Long time customer of Kayla's Nail Care, over 10 years! Katie is super friendly, very easy to chat with and is the queen of detail. My feet, especially my big toes love her as she takes such great care of the extra skin / cuticle that grows around the sides. Yenny is my favorite for a gel manicure. The amazing work she does lasts over 3 weeks without chipping or peeling. I've NEVER had gel manicure do that! My hands are often dry because I cook a lot and often times do dishes without gloves so the nails and my hands take a beating. After Yenny's treatment, my hands are soft and moisturized. In addition, my forearms and shoulders are relaxed from her massage.

I made an appointment 2 months in advance for a scalp treatment. That seemed excessively long, but I wanted to try it. Ako does not speak a lot of English, but is polite. Still, the scalp treatment was expensive and not effective. She may be better with haircuts and such. The salon is located in Sola Salons, so it is small but private.
Kerri Berry is the owner and Esthetician. I’ve been with her for years. I had pretty bad adult acne and regular visits have kept my skin beautiful and young. I trust her implicitly with my skin care. She’s a lovely gal and loves to see my skin looking vibrant. I love chatting with her but she loves it when I fall asleep and never complains when I snore. I always leave my appointment well rested and relaxed. I leave with a smile and another appointment. Book an appointment. You’ll enjoy it.

Diane is amazing and super efficient! Walked in on a Saturday morning needing a classic pedicure and shampoo+blowdry for a wedding. Diane was able to fit in my friend and I for nail and hair services where usually an appointment is needed. Super friendly and she also has a beautiful singing voice!

Definitely a hidden gem for Asian haircuts! The hairstylists are very talented and can cut the hair to complement your face shape. They go above and beyond and pay close attention to details. They taught me how to properly blow dry my hair, and thinned out my hair for a lighter effect. $60 for women’s haircut. I highly recommend this hair salon.
Love Anna, she is a hair genius. She's very detail-oriented and understands Asian hair. If you bring in a photo and/or can be specific with her about what you want, she'll do exactly what you'd like. I've had a hard time finding a hair stylist to stick to in the Bay Area (have bounced all around the Bay to find someone who can cut my hair) so glad I finally found her. Her entire staff are also just the nicest and the space is lovely, like a gorgeous french garden! Do make an appointment because she is busy, but you'll be in good hands!

This review is very long overdue, but I can’t recommend Kimmie enough for facials! I’ve been seeing her for the last few years, and she’s always been very friendly and attentive to my skin care needs. Her space is beautiful and relaxing/soothing for sessions. I also appreciate that she doesn’t try to push upgrading services or specific products to use at home, which has usually been the case at other places I’ve been to for facials. I come out of appointments feeling like I’ve been seeing an old friend.
I came yesterday with my mom for a mother/daughter scalp treatment and it was amazing!! Everyone was incredibly sweet and kind, and the service itself was amazing. They took their time and didn’t make me feel like they were rushing at all. My hair feels amazing and I hope I can come back one day :)

Sharon is a wonderful esthetician and electrolysis technician. She cares so much about what she does and wants to make sure you have the best experience possible. Electrolysis is painful but she is smart about minimizing the pain. I am very happy with the hair removal results!

Mihwa provides outstanding facial services! My skin was noticeably improved after my first facial session with Mihwa and the appearance of my skin continued to improve with regular treatments. Mihwa is very knowledgeable about her craft and provides a gentle and relaxing touch. Everything during the session is enjoyable, from the treatment application, the light scents of products, to conversation about various topics (or sometimes silence if I am tired and fall asleep!). The price for facial treatments is excellent and you are not sacrificing any quality compared to more expensive options. Highly recommend!

I had an amazing facial by Ani. I have been going to see Ani for my facials for many years. She always does a wonderful facial and upper body massage. She keeps up with the latest products and techniques as well. She also has a great personality and makes you feel at ease. I give her 5 stars for sure.

Having lived with long-term chronic pain, I was skeptical about whether anything would truly help, after trying various things. I am so glad I came here. The physical therapy I received completely turned things around, and my pain is finally gone. The entire experience was excellent—highly professional, supportive, and effective.
Before starting treatment, I was dealing with constant knee pain, swelling, and warmth in my left knee. It made everyday activities difficult — exercising, working, hiking, and even playing tennis became painful and frustrating. I actually found the clinic through a Facebook ad, and after reading all the positive reviews, I decided to give it a try.
After my very first treatment, I noticed less pain and improved mobility. By my third treatment, the results were incredible — I could fully squat down again, the warmth in my knee was gone, and walking was no longer painful.
I’m so much happier now because I can walk longer distances without discomfort, and work is no longer difficult due to the minimal pain. One of the biggest improvements is that I can stand up normally again without having to use my hands to help push myself up.
I’m excited to continue treatment and get back to the things I love, like hiking and tennis. I’m also looking forward to working overtime again without fear of pain or reinjury. This treatment has truly given me hope and confidence in my body again.

I went to Dr. Macy for a consultation visit and was pleasantly greeted by her caring demeanor. My thorough consultation consisted of two visits: the initial visit was an assessment of my symptoms, emotional well being, and overall lifestyle. She assessed my neck, head, and spine while taking diligent notes. Some xrays were taken as well. During this entire visit, Dr. Macy was conversational and gave me bits of advice or recommended stretches. She really made me feel comfortable in her clinic. In the second visit, she went over the xrays with me and showed me how my posture affects my biological structure. Lastly, she gave my back an alignment, which felt amazing! Overall the experience was very thorough, informational, and unique. I highly recommend anyone who is in the area to check out her clinic!
I write my experience I had with Dr. Sanders back a few years ago. I had low back pain problem. It was painful and couldn't work and drive. I visited 5 different chiropractors who all either saying need a big money from pocket or long time program that charge $$$ with fancy mechanic equipment, a sense about business much more than solving problem with a good experience. Even my family doctor strongly recommended me to have surgical operation to fix it. Only Dr. Sanders, the 6th doctor I visited, gave me very honest and experienced opinion that I felt confident and convinced. So I went through conservative therapy without fancy equipment. Not long after that, I got recovered 95%. Dr. Sanders is the best doctors I ever met.

Why is my previous rating no longer recommended? I'm still going to Dr. Matt Sheehy and he's still my "go to" to keep myself healthy and active. It's been over 14 years now! Here's my previous review: 2/4/2013 I've been going to Dr. Matt for five+ years and I am very grateful for his help. I am a 48-year-old mother and I consider myself to be an athlete -- my physical well-being and my ability to be active are extremely important to my full functioning. I have a lot of stress in my life and I need to stay active (which includes dancing, boot camps, weight training, yoga, barefoot hiking). Dr. Matt has helped me through many tweaks and strains and minor and major injuries. I love having a "go-to" person to help me get my body back on track. I take my daughters to him, too. Dr. Matt is very patient and takes his time, is very methodical in his work, attending to all of my body, not just my spine. When he has suggestions or offers stretches that I can do, he gives me the rationale behind them which helps me be motivated to do what he suggests. I highly recommend Dr. Matt and I still go to him for maintenance even though there are other chiropractors closer to where I live.
My Trixie has IVDD and lost all mobility in her back legs. After months of therapy she regained her ability to walk again. The veterinarian and staff are wonderful and I'm truly thankful for their hard work and kindness. My Trixie is happy and healthy again.
I brought my 2-year old Persian cat to this place for stenotic nare surgery (his nose job I've been calling it). Not only is this one of the few places in the Bay Area that offer a cost-effective stenotic nare surgery (it was ~$2.5k and for the record VCA quoted me >$5k) but they did SUCH an excellent job and took care of my cat so well. AND HE BREATHES SO GOOD NOW! They gave me a variety of medication to bring home (pain relievers, anti-inflammatory meds, and antibiotics) that was included in the cost and they even called after to check up on the cat. I honestly would recommend this hospital to everyone needing the same surgery done on their cat. Mr Grumpy is doing great after the surgery, recovering well, and breathing so good.
I'm just blown away how good the surgery looks, I thought my cat's face would look mangled or gross but I keep looking and it's like I can't tell he even got surgery.

Dr. Greenspan, Olivia and Team are an absolute delight! I have had guinea pigs for over 10 years and this is my go to place for regular checkups physicals and emergency visits. Dr. Greenspan has had guinea pigs herself and has first hand experience on how to provide next level medical service so that my baby always gets what she needs and I leave feeling heard!! I am the helicopter mom of helicopter moms and I have vetted a lot of places in the Bay Area ( Especially for Exotics) and I don’t care if I have to drive over an hour and a half to get to this clinic I will because the care is exceptional

In 2020, I was referred to Dr. Zhang when after I had ruptured 3 discs in my back and neck. I was in tremendous pain but wanted to avoid surgery that was being pushed on me by my orthopedic doctor at the time. I met with 3 different acupuncture doctors but Dr. Zhang's treatment seemed to have the most positive effects so I stuck with her. After about 4 months of weekly treatment I felt much better and I still come in regularly till this day for maintenance. She's a lifesaver! They also accept insurance but just make sure your insurance allows acupuncture treatments.
Dr. Liao is the best, she used to help me get healthier during prenatal time, and she still constantly helps my husband with his muscle pains every time after he comes back from all kinds of outdoor activities.
