I was off for MLK day so I gave The Hair Works a call. First I tried at 10 AM sharp (the posted opening time) but nobody answered. Then I tried again closer to 11 and got through. They couldn't take me immediately but they were able to book me at noon. I got there a few minutes early and easily found parking as it's in the same lot as the Walgreens on the corner of Bollinger and Blaney. There were a few people sitting down, including someone who was getting their hair cut. I announced myself and stated my noon appointment. The person working told a father and son that they should come back later so they left. My haircut was efficient but done carefully and to my liking. I paid with cash and was outta there quickly. It was $25 for the cut which is a bit high from what I normally pay but it was convenient. I would probably go back, but only if I'm in a bind.
Price was reasonable and the cut was alright. Not uneven or anything but I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she went a little bit overboard with the trimmer. They also only take cash.
I asked for a 5 on top, 7 on the sides. My barber said “no no no, that won’t look good.” She gave me a great cut, and kept doing checks to confirm that I liked it. It was $25 for the cut, and I have a $5 tip on top. She was wonderful! Would definitely come here again. It was also really speedy; about 25 minute wait, with 2 people ahead of me, for a walk in on a Tuesday at around noon.
