“When we purchased this house almost 5 years ago i loved the kitchen!! It was so large compred to our last home. The bathrooms,on the other hand, were not so much to love. The showers were only 2-3 feet of space, dark and uncomfortable to shower in. Hardly any vanity space and the places the toilets were, were well, not the most spacious. We knew eventually we would have to renovate the bathrooms. Well, when we met Yaniv, we hired Shefer Builders to redo our roof. I could tell instantly he was an extremely detailed person. This filters down to the staff. The entire staff!! Talking with Yaniv during the roof project, we decided to have the company redo our bathrooms. This included a 3D designer, and a mobile showroom that came to the house so I could choose all the fun stuff. Everyone is so nice and comfortable to talk to about design and pricing. In addition, the crew and foremans were very helpful in explaining what they were doing throughout the enire projects. As for the kitchen: we had a dishwasher go bad and it leaked water all over including out the back of the house!! Well....perfect time to have Shefer Builder renovate the kitchen!! What a continued blessing to have the crews come back again and help in such a fine way. I have always loved cooking and baking but even more so now with my beautifully desinged, perfectly crafted and functional kitchen!!They give so much attention to the little things I did not even notice! “I spent a few months contacting many vendors regarding an ADU. My mother in law has mobility challenges so this eliminated lots of the pre-fab units. Most of then aren’t “age in place” friendly - they have extremely small bathrooms and so forth. Because of this, I figured I should spend extra for a custom design to get exactly what is needed.I came across Acton after spending months interviewing many vendors. Also, having family in the construction business, I know that experience is very important. Anyone can do anything, but “is it done right”?After meeting Jen , my confidence went up. She asked the right questions and was completely transparent. She described the process and approximate timeline. The company would derisk the project by doing upfront studies of key things. As a project engineer, I would have done the same.After a month or so, we were trying decide between Acton and another company. We ended choosing Acton for responsiveness, “done it many times and we know the special rules”. and overall style of execution. In addition the flexibility of the team and they all seem to work well with each other was what helped make the decision.We are now done. It was definitely one of my “easier” projects (considering the size and scope). I know what I was getting and Acton delivered. We interviewed a number of window companies None were as good as Frank at Rosegold Builders. He came out to our house, was very polite and professional, measured 7 windows and sent us a proposal that night! Because the other estimators did not respond for weeks, we accepted Frank's proposal right away. We wanted our windows in before winter storms! The windows were delivered in 4 weeks!Javier and his son, Nestor, worked seamlessly. They were very organized and neat and they respected homeowner and property. The windows were perfectly installed and look beautiful!!! When Javier and Nestor were done, they cleaned up, and not a speck of dirt or debris was left behind.
