I will caveat this by saying I have since left the US and have not been a member for at least 3 years. However I do believe in givbing credit where its due. I have been recently having muscoskeletal issues due to flat feet which I have had my whole life. During my physiotherapy appointments I just realised that its not that the issues suddenly started, but during my time in the US as a member of Bstrong the issues that should have inevitably happened where actively prevented by my regular classes at Bstrong. Without me even realizing it. At the time my main motivation was to lose weight but clearly the programming at Bstrong is so intentionally devised for overall wellness that it prevented complications of fallen archs for me without even realising it. Its unfortunately only now I am realising this. I have fond memories of the gym and hope that it has remained largely the same if not better. As someone with no Bstrong, I highly recommend this gym for your overall wellness.
2020 Review
I have been going to this gym regularly since I live nearby. Its the best in the area due to so many reasons. The workouts are very effective - I have become stronger this past year thanks to them (+ losing 20+ lbs ?). The instructors are very kind, attentive and care about all the members. I was especially touched during the initial days of the pandemic - they found ways to keep everyone active and healthy - virtual workouts, youtube workouts, regular articles on healthy living. The community is also fantastic - before the pandemic we used to have get-togethers occasionally, which I loved. Everyone is very kind. Bstrong is not just a gym- its a fitness community ❤️“

Found one nearby who offered a free first session. She was super nice and actually listened to my goals instead of just throwing random stuff at me. She showed me how to do each move right and explained why we were doing them. I didn’t feel judged at all even though I was out of shape. We did some strength work and cardio and I was sore but in a good way. She also helped me set some simple nutrition goals without making it complicated. The only thing that was rough was waking up early to do the sessions but I got used to it fast. I already feel stronger and more confident. If you keep quitting on yourself get a trainer like this. It changes everything.“

It has a variety of equipment that my normal Anytime fitness doesn’t have. But also, it has a lot of space as well. Lots of free weights and weight racks. I do like the studio for stretching. If you're considering giving it a go -- I'd definitely recommend giving it at least one try.The equipment used was top notch - they should make couches and/or airplane seats out of the material used for the stretch beds! (The "gun" they use is also commercial grade and much better than a Theragun.)Alex, who was my stretcher (and also the area manager of all 3 seattle locations), is super friendly. She made sure that each stretch was deep enough but not painful. It was also neat how passionate she is about stretching, mobility and recovery overall. I surprised to learn that the two owners (one a chiropractor and the other a professional athlete) are also stretching fanatics. (For whatever reason, I would have thought it was owned by some silent finance folks who were just looking to make a profit but didn't care about the space.)“

Christine understands and teaches not only the exercises, but the recovery aspect of it also (which it turns out is just as important).
