First, huge thank you to Dr. Andy Mai, PT, DPT. He wasn’t my formal physical therapist, but he was there at the gym coaching, cheering, and helping me think through programming. I recently achieved a one-arm pull-up - a goal I had been chasing for 7 years - and with his guidance, I finally got there in about 5 months. His encouragement, knowledge, and belief in me made a huge difference.
Second, I’m incredibly grateful to Dr. Noelle White, PT, DPT. She helped me take my shoulder from painful and limiting to fully recovered. She also helped monitor my tendons and build smart programming so I could stay healthy while continuing CrossFit classes and training hard.
The team at HiDef Therapy is knowledgeable, caring, and genuinely invested in helping people move better and reach their goals. Highly recommend them.“

The coaches are fantastic: attentive, motivating, and always making sure you’re using proper form and getting the most out of each workout.
The overall vibe is really cool and positive, which makes a big difference when you’re pushing through a tough session. Classes are fun, well-organized, and challenging in the best way.
I truly enjoyed being part of this studio and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a supportive and energetic place to work out!“

She guided me through a great session where I felt opened up and strengthened at the same time. Abby took her time with me and listened to any feedback I had about how my body felt during each movement. It was well paced and I felt like she really knew the Pilates technique and how to teach it . I highly recommend studio Evolve. Everyone there is very helpful and friendly. Martine the Owner is a gem as well!“

Something went wrong and they sent their tech out who diagnosed a bad control board and came back a few days later and installed and got it working again--all under warranty, so no charge and done with clear experience and competence. Their recommended hot tub with a 5 year warranty proved to be a great recommendation. Clear communication and professional work.“

He was encouraging, helpful but not overly suggestive, and motivated us throughout the workout. He shared a new breathing technique that took my workouts to the next level. He took the time to get to know me before the workout and offered guidance on additional classes when we were done. It was a great 45 minutes to start my day on the right foot with fitness and nutritional encouragement.“

I’m also a physical therapist who works with athletes, so I’m extremely picky when it comes to coaching quality. When I moved back to Seattle, I checked out several gyms in the area, and PUSH Box was the clear winner.
The coaches here are truly knowledgeable, professional, and welcoming. The community is engaged and friendly, and the programming stacks up with the best you’ll find anywhere in the country. One of my favorite aspects is that every class includes athletes across the full fitness continuum with beginners training right alongside highly advanced athletes.
I’ve been a member for almost six months now and have no intention of ever leaving.“

124 Denny Wy, Seattle“Club Pilates in Queen Anne is warm, welcoming, and convenient with a core of good instructors. Easy to schedule, both because the app is good and because this studio often has space in classes. (I note one reviewer complained the workout is too easy-maybe so for them-it’s definitely not a boot camp environment. Or maybe they didn’t take time to test into the hardest level classes.)
For me it’s useful that Club Pilates QA offers classes that can be modified up or down as needed. They’ve helped me improve core strength and posture, and reduce joint pain from old sports injuries. I hear there is now free parking for members though I’m fortunate to live in walking distance. I also like having a membership level that allows me to use other Club Pilates studios when I travel. Reading back this review sounds like PR but I sincerely enjoy working out there, so it’s easy to keep consistent.“

616 N 48th St Unit A, Seattle“Adnan is a great trainer. Whilst I've had a little bit of gym training over the years, this is my first time doing proper free-weight powerlifting. I've learnt so much from him this past year, and he's been incredibly patient throughout the process. He was also very accommodating when I suffered some minor skiing injuries and was able to adapt the training schedule to focus on the exercises I could do whilst still having enough variety to keep things interesting. Would definitely recommend for anybody looking to get into weight training“

Modifications available to upscale or downsize specific moves (plus injury mods as needed), and Kyle especially has been a Godsend for the adaptive needs I have re: grip and range of motion. - One caveat: I would not consider this a beginner gym. Some familiarity with fitness moves is very helpful, though instructors always model form and are usually on top of correcting / teaching as needed.“
