“Damia and her practice are wonderful. Being new to reiki, she was incredibly helpful, patient, and detail oriented of explaining how the practice works and what to expect. Our intention setting and conversation really helped me understand the work better. The session felt like a dream overall, although I was very present. Her intuitiveness is really remarkable. Immediately after the session when we spoke, waves of energy started pulsing through my body. Discussing the experience from her perspective and mine was helpful. Days after our session I am feeling the benefits and would highly recommend scheduling a session with her.“

“Best boutique fitness studio in this neighborhood - highly recommend! Convenient location, easy registration and check-in, modern interior decor with beautiful natural light flooding the studio, high-end finishes and most importantly: an all-star crew of instructors and staff! This studio offers a perfectly balanced curriculum and the members can choose from a variety of barre, dance/cardio and yoga classes throughout the day. Great little hidden gem in the UES! I started trying it out with their first-timer promotion for two weeks and have been addicted ever since! As a hardcore barre practitioner, I’ve frequented all major studios all over Manhattan and this one definitely tops my list! You’ll be noticeably lighter, leaner and stronger after just a couple of classes - amazing results!“

“Central Park Physical Therapy is an outstanding physical therapy practice. They don't just help resolve your pain/issue, they spend the time to understand the root cause and give you exercises so the pain doesn't come back. I've had various issues over many years but have never had to get physical therapy for the same problem - just fabulous. Also the practice has convenient hours so you can go before work or after. I can't recommend Central Park Physical Therapy enough - their knowledge, their approach and their support are just great.“

“I’ve had an amazing experience at Club Pilate in classes The instructors such as Jackie, Nina, Candace, Jacob, Annah, Danielle, and Tara are not only highly knowledgeable and professional, but they also take the time to tailor each session to individual needs and fitness levels. The atmosphere is welcoming and uplifting because of Marissa and Olivia at the front desk. The studio is always clean and well-equipped. I’ve noticed significant improvements in my strength, flexibility, and posture since joining. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, this is the perfect place to challenge your body and clear your mind. I always leave feeling refreshed and motivated!“

700 NJ-3, Clifton
Club Pilates Yoga

“I love the instructors at Club Pilates. My favorite instructors are Peter, Michele, and Deborah. Peter and Deborah are great teachers, especially for beginners; I definitely recommend them. Michele is fun, but I wouldn’t recommend her if you are just starting out. Once you get into the rhythm of things, you can definitely take her classes. Peter and Deborah will make sure you are doing the movements correctly and working the muscles you are supposed to be working and are more hands on compare to Michele. Peter and Deborah are phenomenal instructors in this regard. I love them! I’m sad that Deborah is no longer at the Clifton location, which I go to exclusively, even though I have an unlimited membership. I’ve been going to Club Pilates for almost 3 years now and have mostly worked out with these three instructors. I say it all the time: I am still a member because of the instructors; they are phenomenal!

However, to be honest, the management sucks! I hate the 12-hour cancellation policy; it’s a bit excessive. I’ve always complained that maybe 4 hours is a better time frame because a lot can happen in 12 hours, and they are not flexible with this rule. You can have an emergency, and they will still charge your card, and you have to fight about what constitutes an emergency. That’s the only downside; other than that, the studio is clean, and everything else is fine.

Also, when you pause your membership, they charge you a fee for pausing, and you cannot pause for an extended period of time (I believe 6 months is the max). I had a bad case of a pinched nerve that required physical therapy. Even with a doctor’s note and after paying the pause fee for months, they wouldn’t let me continue to pause after a certain period. Once I was better and cleared by my doctor to start working out, they had canceled my membership, which was cheaper, and I had to reinstate and pay the newer price, which was very frustrating. If I wasn’t coming back, why would I pay the pause fee every month? Like I said, management is the only problem you’d encounter at club Pilates, but other than that, the instructors are great. I am still here because of them and also because there is no competition in the area. If there was, maybe they would be a little more flexible, but they’ve kind of monopolized all the neighborhoods around me. Lol. I definitely recommend it if you don’t mind dealing with the management, like me, to get the benefit of having great instructors. As you can see almost all the bad reviews are with management and to be honest nothing has been done differently. The instructors are great but nobody wants to be always fighting with management. The Clifton manager is very cold and unfriendly. Hope they do some reform and listen to some of the complaints and try to find a happy medium.“

“I love this hot yoga studio. Although yoga isn't my only means to work out, I do enjoy coming here every so often as I am guaranteed a wonderful experience every single time. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, as well as motivating which is much appreciated for this type of workout. They offer wonderful memberships that make it easy to make this a routine. Hot yoga has improved my health and wellness so much. I not only get a great workout but I generally feel well afterwards. It is also an extremely clean studio, note you do remove your shoes by the front door which I personally love. I highly recommend this studio.“

“This place is very nice professional clean smells amazing. I took the Pilates reformer class for the first time ever. I've never done plates. Before starting you fill out a form and I made the instructors aware of my ongoing health issues and recent surgery. They were so accommodating and made adjustments for me during the class so I could handle the moves. It didn't hold up the other students as well which was great. I appreciated being looked after. They have students sanitize their stations after class which is awesome for the next group coming in. The owner remembered me and checked in on how I had felt after my first class when I came in the second time.“
