Our children have been taking lessons at Music 101 for 16 years (guitar, piano, & voice). Every minute has been a wonderful experience. The teachers are knowledgeable and patient. They have excellent teaching methods. Tanya, Steven and Michelle have always been so very helpful and understanding. They feel like family. Last night was our last of 15 recitals with Music 101 and it was bittersweet. We are so proud that both of our kids have learned so much there and have chosen to pursue music as a career (Music Ed and Music Therapy). Music 101 gave them a passion for music and it will live forever in their hearts.

From the very beginning, we knew we wanted a wedding filled with color, joy, and meaningful details that reflected our journey together as a couple. Nancy and Amanda immediately understood that vision and brought it to life in ways we never could have imagined.
Beyond their incredible talent, they are truly the sweetest mother-daughter duo. Their passion for what they do shines through in every interaction. We chose to do something unique and use color to tell our story. It was a beautiful visual reminder that our relationship was built by so many people who loved and supported us along the way, and seeing those colors united felt incredibly meaningful.
When we saw everything come together, we were completely blown away. The flowers were vibrant, joyful, artistic, and felt perfectly us. Every arrangement was stunning, and together they transformed the entire day into something magical.

We had the best possible experience at Clippings in Melrose for our son’s first haircut. I was nervous going in because his curly blonde hair is one of his defining features, and I was worried he might lose all of his curls. I was immediately put at ease when we walked in and the staff asked if we were sure we wanted to cut his beautiful hair. We explained that it was getting in his eyes, but that we only wanted a light trim so he could keep most of his curls, and they thought that was a great idea.
Dawn was our stylist, and she was incredibly patient and kind. Our son was not exactly cooperative, which is probably typical for a first haircut, but Dawn handled it so well and did a wonderful job. The rest of the staff helped by singing and distracting him, which made such a difference.
His hair looks great. It is a more controlled version of what he had before, with his curls still intact. We truly could not have had a better experience. Thank you to Dawn and everyone at Clippings!

Been coming here now since late 2019 and figured it is time to post a review. Abdul is the best, great haircut, listens and always delivers and he is super friendly and professional. There is a newer guy now too, Said who is also very good, I usually make appointments but the times I just do a walk in, I am OK with either cutting my hair, both are very good and always feel comfortable and pleased with my haircut. You can’t beat the prices either!!!

Went to Gloss searching for a non toxic/less toxic manicure and nail repair. After years of dip and gel and with the knowledge of endocrine disruption, I wanted to find a better and healthier self care option. The salon had one nail polish option called Dazzle which is a vegan option. Trin was knowledgeable professional and great, the salon was clean and everyone was kind. I'll definitely be back!

My daughter had terrible experiences at other salons in and around Melrose. She was at her wits end and desperate. We had driven by this blue Victorian style house many times and finally decided to give it a shot. My wife called and Nora was extremely accommodating and asked questions that none of the other hairstylists had asked, this showed her years of experience and passion! My daughter's hair is shoulder length curly hair and was asking for a specific hairstyle, Nora not only understood the style but also knew how to work with my daughter's hair type unlike any other. Shaylynn is a very talented massage therapist. She dissolved my hip pain in one session (much to my amazement). I've been to plenty of massage therapists over the years (I've moved several times) and have conditions that require me to need massage therapy often. I had a spinal infusion many moons ago and I absolutely need to take care of my body. I'm always weary to work with just anyone because I need to trust that the person I'm with will be sensitive to my needs and KNOWS what they are doing when it comes to a spinal fusion. I'm also a very active woman- taking HITT classes, weight lifting, skateboarding etc. I also NEED a higher pressure massage which not all therapists can do. However, if you need a lighter touch, Shaylynn will gladly adjust to your needs. Try her out, you won't regret it.

She holds incredible space for her clients and will adapt to fit each person's specific needs or preferences seamlessly. I most appreciate how she will check in and ensure in each session that you are comfortable. I like to say she literally just fixes my body, but I think knowing that there is a therapist who will really listen to your body and to you and then use her expertise to treat and heal those areas that need work is so valuable.
