“Alamo Austin sent a tech (Austin!) right away when my mini split was putting out black bits. Very alarming. But it turns out the unit was *very* dirty. (The screens were clean, this was deeper) Austin cleaned it all out and tested it. Running perfectly now. I bought the reasonably priced yearly maintenance package and will be sure to have them back in the Spring. Won’t let it get that bad again! Five stars for sure!“

“Have Service Wizard's annual inspection plan where someone comes out in the fall to check my furnace and in the spring for the AC. Dante came recently for my heating system inspection which included ductwork as well as the furnace itself. He spent a good 45 minutes in the attic and provided me not only with a checklist of what he examined, but more than two dozen pictures, many of which showed meter readings for various system metrics that he tested. Had a 3-hour window, but Dante texted me when he was about a half hour out and arrived right on time. I guess you can tell I'm very happy with Service Wizard and highly recommend them. I've used them for a number of years now and the service has always been super and the cost very competitive with no upselling.“

“I had a really good experience overall. Lucky for me my AC compressor died right before it cooled off for winter and I had no rush to get it replaced. I worked with John Cantu and he was great giving me many different options from several different manufactures. I had lots of questions from my research and he was always helpful and responded quickly. I never felt like I was being upsold and their price was actually cheapest I received. Other companies I got quotes from made me feel like I invited a used car salesman into my house. I got a completely new AC/Heater and air handler for a reasonable price. I didn't have to wait long for the installation and it was done in a single day. The plenum ducting above my air handler was much better than my previous installation, and they upgraded my gas line from a flex pipe to a hard pipe as required by current code. The wiring was also much tidier than before. I was going to pay cash for the system but with my credit score they were able to get me 0% down 0% financing over 1 year so I went with the financing. I had a good experience and recommend them.“

“As usual, Elton did a great job! He has been to my home to check my gas heater and air conditioner for many years. Because of his attention to detail the working life of my older unit has been extended by at least a couple of years. Today, Elton did routine winter maintenance, checked for gas leaks, changed the filter and did a small repair on the unit. He is always professional, polite and friendly. I took advantage of signing up for the spring and winter checkups for next year to secure a place in line. When it comes time to replace my air conditioner and gas heater I will get Elton’s input and already plan on having him do the installation.“

“Great company to work with. Jon helped me select and install a heat pump in 2022. I picked Jon both because the estimate was reasonable, and because I liked the way he patiently explained things and didn't try to pressure us into anything the way some of the other companies I got estimates from did. It was a tough install due to space constraints in my older house and he worked magic to get it done.

He and the heat pump have been awesome since then, too. The heat pump itself is a continuously variable one and it is just so, so much better in terms of comfort in the house than the single stage AC unit I'd had before. When I had an issue with it in 2024, he cleverly diagnosed the issue (water had gotten into an electrical connector due to a design flaw) and worked with Carrier to get the warranty part, but went above and beyond to track down a part in a local unit to get me up and running immediately rather than waiting days for it to get shipped (the issue happened over a holiday weekend, of course). Once installed he compensated for the design problem with an alternative routing of the cable so water would not come back into the connector.
