Got a few haircuts here from Sara Flaig. She's great! The location is easy to get to and there is plenty of street parking if their small lot fills up. The salon is inside an old house and each stylist gets their own room. So it doesn't feel crammed like most hair salons. Definitely recommend.

I got a 60 min massage, they took good care of me and even helped ease the stiffness in my neck. I would highly recommend coming here, especially for the price. This will be my go to place now.

The technician Hannah was super detailed, making sure the application was flawless. Plus, it dried quickly, so I didn't have to worry about staining my clothes afterward. You know what I'm talking about...the one that you trust with your hair more than your own blood, the one that gives you the calm sense of peace knowing that when you are sitting in their chair, you are in good hands, and no matter what trials and tribulations you are going through in life or what stressful curveball life is deciding to throw your way, getting your hair done won't be one of them. In fact, not only will you end up leaving her studio feeling like a million bucks, you will leave with that refreshed glow that you get after a much needed therapy sesh. This is what Kathy is for me. The G.O.A.T. I was lucky enough to meet her as a teenager, and here I am 40 yrs old and I still couldn't imagine going anyplace else. I am constantly getting compliments on my hair, and everyone is always impressed with how my hair always blends naturally when it starts to grow out. Since '99, Kathy has been an expert in her line of work, with a long list of loyal customers like me, and for a stylist with her caliber, I feel she is very reasonably priced, professional, and an absolute delight to be around. But once I met Jen Meoni, I was able to put that nonsense behind me. After ~16mo of amazing cuts (never a bad one!), I cannot recommend her enough. The barber is connected to a gold / silver / coin establishment, and it’s definitely not a large shop, but I have had nothing but good hair cuts at this location over the past year.

Kate was fantastic! I'm very new to getting my nails done, so I have only been to two salons. Kate's service at XO Beauty was so good that it made me realize the other salon (Shellac Nails in Hillsboro) wasn't as good as I thought it was.
Kate chatted with me the whole time, she answered all of my questions and she was very detailed and careful with my nails. She even cleaned up the chunky glue left under one nail by the other salon, and she helped me pick the perfect shimmery fall color I was looking for.
XO Beauty's space is really nice too, I love all the plants and it's in a great location next to my favorite bakery. I will be back!

Laleny listens to what I need and makes sure we have the same vision for what I want before she proceeds. I've left every time feeling extremely satisfied and happy with the results! Our design-build firm subcontracted all the plumbing to Craftwork. We just breezed through the rough-in plumbing inspection. Their speed and quality are excellent. Even areas in the crawl space where one will not see their work, it is done neatly and accurately.
They are skilled in their craft. The post-and-beam work (under the subfloor) was done accurately and quickly, to allow framing to proceed. Everything was in the right place for the rough-in plumbing.

We had a kitchen drain clogged that I tried to take care of myself the day prior for 6hrs. I tried drano, green goblin and using a diy drain auger with no success. We have been using Beaverton plumbing for years, they were always the fastest, fairly priced, most professional and thorough shop we've worked with. We've called them for all kinds of jobs, fixing valves, leaks, replacing water heaters etc. A couple of years ago when fixing a leaky valve, they warned us our galvanized plumbing was just about at the end of its life. Sure enough, this year was the year that we needed to have everything replaced.
We called Derek, he came over to look at everything, and turned around a competitive quote very quickly. We decided that since we were already replacing all of the water, this would be a good time to also replace some of the old bathroom parts, and we worked with his supplier and got everything scheduled and ordered.
The galvanized water replacement was first, the team was, as always, super polite, professional, and wouldn't hesitate to stop and discuss what they were up to. You can stay in the house while they are working (but it is quite loud sometimes), and they turned the water back on before leaving daily so we were never without running water for more than a few hours. They planned out the project so there was always one working bathroom and shower. Once the galvanized piping was replaced, the delight was immediate - great water pressure, the water tasted 100X better, and, of course, no leaks!
In retrospect it totally makes sense, but at the time, I was surprised at the amount of holes in the walls as a result of removing all of the bath stuff and piping in the house, and was wondering if I should have gone with GC to coordinate everything. Fortunately, Derek knows a lot of skilled people, and he set me up with a sheetrock expert, where in the end, the repaired areas look better than than it did originally.
After getting through the water replacement and going into the bathroom upgrades, we hit a delay with one of the bath parts that would have set the project back quite a bit. Derek, again, was on the ball, and went over several options with us, ultimately guiding us to working with NW Total Home on bathroom tiles over the fiberglass insert that was on delay. I couldn't be happier with this move, the bathroom looks fantastic. Derek was super thoughtful about his advice, shared what he did with his bathroom, and gave me a couple of options for shops to work with. While this switch did delay the scheduling a bit, Derek and his team were super flexible and worked around the scheduling dates of the other contractors. As soon as a contractor finished, his crew would be in the next morning.
His crew must like working there, there were guys that came in that had worked on some of our galvanized issues years before. They were a pleasure to have in the house, and would stop and discuss options to make sure everything was perfect for us. Little things, like adjusting the shower head height, or the best place to relocate the toilet (we had to move it over from the shower to be code compliant). They would share pros and cons, and tell you how they would do it in their own home. They would give us a heads up via text when they were on their way. When "old house" stuff came up as they removed the old bathroom parts (like weak subflooring), they did the extra and made everything better than they found it.
I thought needing our roof replaced was a big job, but that was Little League compared to replacing all of the water in your house. Beaverton Plumbing AKA New System knows their stuff. I would absolutely use them again, though, I don't feel like I am going to have any water problems for quite a while, I might just need to invite them to BBQs.

Fantastic work. Just look at the type of corner they had to work around. The work that was not needed or could not be performed once the rug was pulled back (no joist found so can't fix the squeak) was removed from the original estimate. Our family remodeled the main floor of our home which encompassed the foyer, the living room and our kitchen. Straight Line was extremely helpful in listening to our thoughts and ideas and gave us a few great design options to consider. Once we determined which direction we were going in, the SLDR team executed the structural designs needed and dealt directly with the Portland building department. Once our demo and 12-week construction began, our general contractor/project manager was very hands on and in constant communication with us. Not only that, but SLDR listened to what our budget was, and stayed within it! Our family is extremely happy with how the remodel turned out, and we are looking forward to using our remodeled fireplace with a wood burning insert this winter. I needed a big remodel project when we moved into our house 3 years ago.
I was having a hard time finding a contractor to help with the remodel. He was referred by another friend and I couldn’t have been luckier.
Bruce a General Contractor, is very experienced in all trades and is well networked and connected with many of them.
On his first visit to our project, he discovered some issues at a corner of the house, including a 2” + sag at one big corner of the house. He was able to do some structural repairs to level the area. This could have been way worse had I proceeded with other work without this repair.
Bruce did all my structural framing and other work including fixing other missed repairs, demo work, shored up floor framing, formed and placed concrete, laid down underlayment, some exterior siding and prep for some of the other trades.
We really appreciated his experience with planning the layout of the remodel as well. While things may look good on paper or plans, it’s common that ideas don’t always work once you start building. He was great at picking those things out and giving suggestions on how to tweak the drawings.
In the end, we couldn’t be happier with how our project turned out.

We have had two major projects with Alex Freddi. At our previous home, a “down to the studs” bathroom remodel. Seven years ago Alex Freddi converted our three bedroom split level into a duplex by adding a “granny flat”, into which we retired.Both projects were on time, on budget, and without conflict or surprise. I've been working with Victor e design on a phased backyard design. Working with Joey is great and they worked on the design phase with multiple iterations to get to a design we really liked.

Tibor and his crew made our bathroom remodel painless, despite the fact that I had no idea what I was doing. They were patient with me, explaining what was going to happen at each stage, and hooking me up with good resources for tile, countertops and fixtures. The quality of the tile work in particular was very good.
I recently had Tera Construction build a new fence in my backyard. The fence exceeded my expectations in its quality and appearance. Tera provides accurate estimates, friendly service and quality work. I have worked with them for 20 years and highly recommend them. They have a variety of skills and can do exterior construction, landscaping and interior work. Their work turns out well and they have a strong work ethic.

These, and more, are all the things Barb brought to our project. She had to clean up after our first contractor, who epically failed, and she saved the day. I will be hiring her again for future projects.
Bonus is that she is one of the longstanding successful female contractors in the State of Oregon, 28 years and counting.

Kellan at Light Benders was a huge help on short notice. We were in the middle of a project and needed just a few skylight components for six different skylights on short notice. They would've been a special order item and taken several weeks to arrive from the factory, which would've thrown a big wrench into our plans. Kellan was able to find the six skylights in stock in their warehouse and was willing to open them up to sell us only the components we needed, and then re-order those same parts to replenish his stock. We knew it was going to be a large project—full kitchen renovation and four bathrooms, adding flooring to two levels and a smaller downstairs kitchen—so we interviewed several contractors. We were so happy to work with Cornerstone and continue to daily enjoy the excellent workmanship in our home. Allen and team were not only professional, but easy to work with as they went above and beyond. He would clearly present us options as the work progressed and was always available to answer questions. He did a masterful, and timely, job managing all the people that are necessary for a large project. We never worried about our project and I cannot say enough good things about the quality of the work. Our home ended up as an award-winning renovation and we get compliments from our friends and family on how it all turned out. We are so glad we went with Cornerstone.
RBP Construction demolished two old existing patios that were riddled with cracks and that contained a variety of conflicting slopes caused by erosion over time. Excavation was labor intensive because of limited access to the location and solid rock formations underneath portions of both patios. In order to make each new patio level, because of the slope, RBP had to build a retaining wall between each and install sixty feet of concrete curbing along the base of an existing sixty-year-old concrete retaining wall. The new curbing was particularly challenging because it needed to be accomplished without disrupting the structural integrity of the old wall…no easy task. After the project was completed we encountered a small drainage issue causing water to accumulate on the lower patio. In order to rectify this drainage problem RBP removed and repoured a sizeable portion of that lower patio at their expense. Bottom line, I was very pleased with RBP’s quality workmanship and the way they stood behind their work.

We live in the basement lock-off of a house in the mountains where we can see lots of pests. While doing our spring cleaning this year we contacted Quality Pet Solutions for a general pest consultation and spray. Bear was our technician. He is a local and I can't say enough about his professionalism. He was flexible when making our appointment. On our scheduled day he texted ahead of time to confirm our appointment. He arrived on time and was very friendly and knowledgeable. We walked the property and he showed me things I should be aware of when it comes to pests. He applied a general spider pesticide (organic) to both the inside and outside of our perimeter. Thankfully he didn't see any major signs of intrusion or damage. He said these types of checks are good to do at least 2 times a year to keep your home free of pests. We will be calling Bear next time we need any pests removed.Service: General pest inspection

Starting with common negative aspect, it is a pain to cancel services if necessary. They will push options as many companies do, offer deals and try to keep you as a customer with as many tries as possible you just have to keep saying over and over again, no, I just want to cancel. Then get put on hold for almost an hour as the customer service tech cannot perform final cancelation you need to speak with the manager level tech. Mike there was friendly and understanding and went through more options to retain services and everyone over and over again kept thanking me for my company loyalty and business as I had been with them for about 6 years. That said, the service provided under them as Edge was great, and under Saela I didn't see much change except the push for mosquito service which I then was roped into another 2 year contract which would have came with a pro-rated cancelation charge for early termination. Waiting till the end of the contract there was no talk of termination fee. If we are hit with any hidden fees I will update my review, but over all if you are looking for a pest control service they are probably as good as any others. I really liked our service tech and am sad to have to terminate service but we cannot afford extra things for the foreseeable future. Summary, Positive: great service, Early termination of contract fee is pro-rated so the closer to the end of your contract the lower the fee will be. Negative: Time consuming requiring a lengthy phone call to cancel services. Requires signing a lengthy contract comes with hefty termination fees for early cancelation of contracted services.

The owner (John) was able to visit my home the same day that I called for an appointment. He provided welcome and expert advice on my tree situation and gave me a very reasonable quote. His team was able to come the very next day to remove a dead tree, remove a problem tree, and remove large branches that were crowding the roof of my house. The team also cleared away some old wood debris and afterwards did a thorough cleanup of the grounds. They did an excellent job, and the yard and trees have never looked better.

Quality of work is excellent, professional and friendly The dental care they give is aggressive as they advise replacing crowns and fillings before actually needed (They aggressively sell Invisalign and Botox too!). The dentist advised replacing several fillings where a second opinion from a conservative dentist said there was no need.

I was looking for a dentist away from all the local dentists I've tried close to my house. I looked up dentists in the Beaverton area and Dr. Alex Marrero at Summercrest Dental popped up. I called and talked to the receptionist for probably 15 min. She was so nice and I felt like she really wanted to get to know me and what I was needing done. Well, just by her taking her time with me, I decided to give it a shot. The Dentist, Alex Marrero met me at the door and welcomed me in. Let me just tell you, Dr. Marrero was super friendly, had a sense of humor, had great music playing and asked me questions about my issues before looking in my mouth, again, I felt like he wanted to get to know me and not just my mouth/teeth. Dr. Alex also was very thorough cleaning my teeth and I felt like he did a wonderful job, my teeth have never felt so clean. The dental assistant was so helpful and sweet and even though she was wearing a mask, I could see her big smile shining through it. Great team work!! I was very disappointed when the Dentist told me, "I will see you in 6 months,"... as I was looking forward to coming back sooner. Oh, and also, I have hated my smile for so long due to a chip I have in my front teeth, Dr. Marrero fixed my chip and I feel so much better about myself and can't wait to actually smile in my pictures now. I had to find a new dentist due to mine retiring. I have horrible dental anxiety. This dentist was recommended to me by a friend and they have been AMAZING. I went to my first appointment and they explained everything, they have tvs on the ceiling which help distract me. I had to go in for a filling today and it was honestly one of the best experiences I have had. I watched Friends on tv, listened to my audiobook, and everything went super smoothly. I love that they don't use dental dams and I'm just relieved to have found a great dentist for hopefully years to come.

I’ve gotten chiropractic and other bodywork for 50 years. I saw Dr. Martin (Petrovic) for my latest spinal imbalance. On the first visit, he did an extensive adjustment. I got more benefits from that one adjustment than any other first-visit bodywork in my life. So much better, so quickly.
He’s a pleasant man to work with and inspires trust, which doesn’t come easily as I’m a trauma survivor. But I feel safe letting him manipulate my body into his various pretzel-y adjustment positions.
Dr. Martin is understanding of budgetary limitations and can give useful home exercises to advance your healing.
When I brought my old pug Walnut to Healing Arts, he could neither walk nor stand. He couldn't even eat without help. We thought we were going to have to put him down. The good folks at Healing Arts collaborated with our regular vet on a treatment plan that involved both PT (including acupuncture) and medication. Walnut is still old and wobbly, he'll never be a gymnast, but he is back to walking, eating without assistance, and so on. The staff show him genuine care and affection every time we go in. The services these folks provide are a bargain, in my estimation.
When my dog got sick, I knew something was really wrong and needed urgent care. The team at Laurelwood was incredibly helpful—they were kind, patient, and found a way to see her right away, even without an appointment. Dr. Fullmer explained clearly what was wrong and recommended a straightforward treatment plan without unnecessary tests. She was pretty sick, and I was so grateful she could be seen quickly without needing an emergency hospital. The staff made me feel welcome and never like I was a bother. My little doggie is all better and back to her usual happy self! I’m so glad they’re my vets and would recommend them to anyone.
Sadly, after a short illness, we took our hamster Shelly to Dr. Ramsell but it was too late for anything to be done. Dr. R talked us through many different options but in the end we decided to humanely put Shelly to sleep. The office staff was so wonderful during this process as was Dr. R. And I’ve never had a doctor send such a nice sympathy note afterward. She obviously took so much time to write this out and I appreciate it so much!

Our lab Flora developed severe allergies at around a year old. Our regular vet tried to treat her, but was unable to, and referred us to Dr. DeManuelle. She and her team have been wonderful. Everyone at the office treats our dog like she is their own, and Dr. DeManuelle has gone above and beyond repeatedly. You won’t find a better allergy vet & team.
Brought my cat, whom has devolped some peeing issue, in for a re check up. (came in before to begin looking at this issue). Upon going over all needed expenses, time, and conditions, retraining, ect. for this issue, the doctor was very patient, informative, and kind. Very accommodating to individual situations as well. Best vet I've seen or visited, and I have 3 rescue cats and a bull xl.

I've been seeing Donica for several months due to chronic migraines. I had tried acupuncture previously, but the treatments did not help - however, Donica has worked her magic! During our first appointment, I was extremely impressed by the way that she took plenty of time to review my history and my ongoing ailments. She really looks at you as a whole person to figure out the best treatment approach. Donica is attentive and kind, and goes above and beyond to meet the needs of her clients. She has extensive knowledge of herbal supplements which have been a great complement to the acupuncture treatments. She answers all of my questions (and I ask a lot!) with simple , but complete responses that help me understand how acupuncture is helping my body. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone considering acupuncture!

They are so knowledgeable and my body is stronger, feels better and I stand straighter after doing Pilates here. I’m so happy to be back living close enough to attend sessions here regularly now!

They are a very caring practitioner with a deep understanding of the muscular and lymphatic system and how to effectively support healing. I began seeing Steven following a motor vehicle accident, and I was impressed by how skillfully they addressed my issues in a clinical, therapeutic manner all while creating a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. I went to Ameen for a Swedish massage and was so impressed that I immediately booked a session for my boyfriend, who loved his experience just as much. I have been attending Adapt for almost a year and I can't recommend it highly enough. I have been able to return to running pain free and am moving so much better and am getting stronger! Amazing team and so supportive! This is the gym you go to for long term health- their focus is functional movement - if you are looking for a singular goal - like a Kardashian booty - this might not be the place for you. If you are looking for overall strength, mobility and movement for a lifetime - this is the place. There are people who have been going here for 10+ years. Lots of grey hairs and people moving well and strength training long into 60's, 70s and beyond. That inspires me and I want to be moving that well at that age! They also have a great youth athlete program to help fix those imbalances in those younger athletes.

Billy is amazing at focusing on problem areas and getting all the kinks worked out. I’d been in pain for a few days and finally got a massage from him today. I came in with nerve pain in my elbow and a throbbing neck and back. I feel night and day different after the massage.

If you have been searching for a proper Thai massage look no further. Thai Dai is in a beautiful home in Tualatin where you will be welcomed into a cozy sitting area to talk with your massage therapist. The sounds and smells will transport you to Thailand. You can discuss any tender areas, injuries or places that need extra attention. You’ll be escorted to the floor pad where you’ll be worked on. There will be frequent check ins to make sure the pressure is not too intense and to make sure you’re comfortable. You will leave anticipating your next visit for sure!
I found Anna at a health fair and I'm so glad I did. Anna is an amazing massage therapist. She has a calm, compassionate presence and provides a relaxing environment. After 90 minutes, I feel relaxed both physically and mentally. She's excellent at finding the spots needing attention and not overworking them. She found a few spots I wasn't even aware of! I'm sure all the therapists at Vital Massage are great, but I can't recommend Anna enough!

Harriet will work with you on what kind of massage your body is needing that day, and also adjust pressure as needed. I love her heated massage bed. I always come out of the massage feeling very relaxed and my body feeling much better than when I went in.

This “Building 22” is one of many buildings in a business park campus. (I believe it’s part of the Parkside Business Center campus). Here are some more specifics to help you find Spiritsong Massage within this business park [the following was in an email Harriet sent me when the office moved]:
“The SpiritSong Massage office is located in building #22 H-J on the west-facing corner, across from the Fanno Creek trail.”
One thing I love about this new location is that it’s in quieter surrounds and the massage room itself is bigger than at the previous location. Harriet puts thought and effort into making the space a welcoming, relaxing space and I’d say she’s succeeded in those efforts. (I also love the big trees in the parking lot and Fanno Creek Trail being literally right off the parking lot).
One more thing, Spiritsong massage is an LGBTQ-friendly place and has a single bathroom, so it’s not gendered.
Finally, most people can’t afford to pay for massages out-of-pocket. Harriet may take your insurance. For example, she’s been listed as a covered provider with CHP Group for some time.

I had an accident in my right leg, pain and inflammation, several doctors attended me, medication and more medication, until I went to this wonderful acupuncture place, they managed to reduce my pain and no more medication, excellent staff, thank you very much!
I had acupuncture done yesterday to help with shoulder inflammation after having had septic arthritis earlier this year. Sharon has gentle and steady hands, and was able to see me last minute. We discussed what I can do to help my shoulder pains out side of acupuncture, and went over options that could be addressed in the future.
I woke today with my shoulder pain free, feeling ready for the work day and the gym. I'll come see Sharon again.
Dr. Foxe is amazing to work with! He has helped me in so many ways — from prenatal acupuncture to post-surgical treatment. After my injury, I never thought I’d get back to doing certain things, but now I can. Highly, highly recommend!
Acupuncture with Maile is wonderful. I look forward to my appointment every week. I’ve struggled with anxiety on and off and it makes it hard to relax. Within a few minutes, I’m dozing off. She also treats me for some stomach issues and after a couple hours I feel symptom relief that lasts for days to a week. The space is so comfortable. I was worried it might be a somewhat clinical space. It’s not. The space feels like a spa.
I've worked with Kerry for years. Initially I was referred to her for sciatica. She ended up resolving not just that but all of my fibromyalgia symptoms as well. To this day if I start getting fibro symptoms she's my go to. One session and she kicks it to the curb. Pretty good considering western medicine says it isn't curable and your only choice is to learn to live with horrific symptoms for the rest of your life.

Usually, other clinics ask patients to come much more often — sometimes even daily — often with little to no results.
Dr. Zhou, however, is very confident in his methods and quickly finds the right points to treat pain effectively. My husband’s jumper’s knee, which had been bothering him for the past four months, improved significantly after just two treatments. Dr. Zhou checks the patient’s pulse three times: upon arrival, shortly after the needles are inserted, and again after they’re removed — ensuring the treatment has made a real difference.
