“Merry Christmas Thank Gd for Fenya Frenkel who along with MyDoc Mill Basin have been Saving my life time & Time again ‼ First of all whenever I'd hear the words "Urgent Care" I would imagine a room Packed with Sick people being quickly seen with not such great medical knowledge but for those that were desperate seemed like the only option. This is the only Urgent Care I've ever been to and others really need to take notes. It's super clean, wait time is super short maybe like 3 people max ahead of you (today i only had 1 person before me, a child) , the Dr takes their time with you giving you everything he thinks will improve your health and never rushes through your time. No appointment is needed, insurance covers your visit and they're super friendly and kind from the second you walk in. Today I woke up No voice, throat on fire coughing out green slime. I got a IV boost with vitamins (saline IV is covered (depending on your insurance of cours) and the boost is a tiny fee less then your lunch !! I also got a B12 boost added and for the throat he sprayed Decadron which OMGGGG takes the throat pain away in 15 min and lasts 2 days (where has it been all my lifeeee) I did Testing for everything Flu, Strep, Covid Had my lungs checked, blood pressure. Best Experience Everrrrrr I'm soooo happy we have that kind d of place in our neighborhood it's gd sent I came home feeling 70% better !!! Thank you again for taking such great care of me. “Went here for a Covid test so that I can get medical clearance. I walked in, no appointment, spur of the moment. I decided to get it over with while I was already outside and in the area. Once inside I was greeted and instructed to scan a barcode with my phone’s camera that was posted at the front desk. From there I was told I can have a seat and register myself, upload my identification plus insurance card via the barcode. I was also able to do a “check in” - I guess as indication I was ready and done with filling in my data. I appreciated the bright screen visibly displayed in the waiting area on the wall showing you where you are along your wait. I think such transparency is reassuring when it comes to patient care especially if you’re there, feeling ill or pain. Despite me not being able to find my documents right away, and experiencing a little delay (100% on my end) I was called fast. After my documents were submitted my wait was less than two minutes and the Que on the wall said no one was before me. I got swabbed, waited a few minutes and had my results. I was even given a note on a official letterhead with my results written out along with the printed results on a secondary sheet. I’m happy I went. They’re so pleasant in there, it’s clean, and service was fast. Being so close to my home I wouldn’t hesitate to go back. I recommend if you need fast testing for surgery or travel.“
“My experience during all three of my visits to this Urgent Care office were very positive and helpful. I needed PCR tests each time, because I have specialists who require it.The test was administered by a medical technician each time, including today. They are very courteous, and gentle administering the test.They are also very ADA-compliant (Americans with Disabilities Act) and I didn't have trouble moving around with my walker; also, the medical assistant kindly held doors open for me.On my second visit to the clinic (about two weeks ago), I was given the results of the PCR test on the first visit (negative result), but needed a new test for another doctor visit (it has to be within the previous 72 hours). The result of this second test turned out to be positive, and much to their credit, they didn't wait for me to come back for my results, but called me to let me know I was positive for Covid-19. The timing was amazing, because it was just before I left for the first of the two doctor visits, and I was able to cancel before I went and exposed anyone there to the virus. I must have been exposed between the first and second PCR test. I'm doing fine now, as my symptoms were very mild and six days later, I tested myself with a home (rapid) test and got a negative result.I was also able to call the clinic back, and speak to a doctor about my results after the positive test result. My only criticism is that I was not able to send my husband there for a PCR test, because they require an ID, and my husband (whose IDs got lost) is in the process of applying for new ones. He still has his insurance card and other documents, but he would have needed a current state or city ID to be treated there.Overall, I am really happy that ModernMD Urgent Care is located close to my home. I would feel comfortable going there for any medical problem that could arise for me, which doesn't require a specialist.Anyone who goes there should be aware that they have a special lock on the door, which requires visitors to ring a bell and be buzzed in. The first time I went, I thought the clinic was closed, but it wasn't. As long as you come within the hours it's open (look it up on the internet), follow the instructions and someone will let you in.12/13/23I recently returned with a problem I was experiencing with my toe. The nurse practitioner who treated me prescribed an antibiotic, to prevent further possible infection, until I had a chance to visit my podiatrist. She wisely didn't do any surgical intervention, recognizing that a specialist was required.Everyone there was very courteous and professional. They're an excellent facility.“
“I went in on a Friday at around 5:15 pm. I thought it would be busy but, thankfully, I was seen very quickly. The person assisting the doctor saw me first and was very friendly, knowledgeable, and competent in what they did. They listened to all of my complaints, asked me questions and did my tests quickly. Dr. McBrien then came to take a look at everything and I really appreciated his sincere care for my health, especially since he knew I’m immunocompromised. His treatment he prescribed worked great and I’m almost completely better from Friday already!“
“Pro-tip: don't schedule an appointment for 9am, the staff won't arrive until 9:30am. Other than the lateness and somewhat oddly specific questions from the virtual medical scribe, I have no major complaints about this place. The PA took care of me quickly and I was out of the door promptly. Just don't expect anyone to be there at 9am nor for the doors to be open at that time or you will be waiting outside in the cold.“

“Great Medical PCP in Corona NY Area... Dr. Celestin. I respect the reviews written before the pandemic. But let's turn the page and start anew. Just like our lives will start anew once COVID-19 is stabilized.I can be very critical and outspoken especially with Medical Facilities and Doctors as well as staff.I needed to find a new PCP as my old one didn't take my type insurance. I researched the Doctor-Dr. Celestin. As my main concern is my health needs. I prearranged and gave all my info online before my appointment. So I could just go in and see the Dr. We'll... I must say they were thorough. I got there 45 mins before appt. I asked to fill out last minute details ( which I think should be added to the online paperwork). But the young lady that took care of me did everything rapidly and it coincided with the time I would be called.I was taken into a private office, where every question imaginable was asked about my health and presenting issues. The Nurse that took care of me was kind and understanding. A Perfectionist. She did an EKG and Urinalysis was also expected. Another young lady did my blood work. Which made me happy that they have lab work done there , instead of going else where.I was ready to see the Dr. I told him I'm a good person, but a lousy Patient. As I've never been sick in my life, so as I was growing older I thought myself invincible. Me???? Get sick? Need Doctors? Hell no! But here I was trying to get the best Dr. I could to help me grow old gracefully. Well..... Dr. Celestin turned out to be the BEST. Intelligent, Empathic, listened to me, respected with my thoughts and opinions, though he was the Dr. Lol.!!!!! What I like most he didn't turn to medications immediately, he weighed the options and explained that there are different ways of looking at an illness or diagnosis. When he started speaking about the function and mechanisms of why things may be happening to me and organ functions. It opened my eyes to a whole new world. I loved that he broke things down in plan English and lay mens terms.I left that office motivated, satisfied, educated and happy. There's a medication he changed and gave me only a 30 supply because he wants to see how I react to it. Instead of giving me a 90 day supply which I may not use if it doesn't work and that's a waste of money.I need some test, the front desk gave me the referrals to make appts when I'm ready.All in all I have to say , they have a good set up there. I'm not saying that things don't happen and one day I may have wait. Or things may not go as I thought.Just bear in mind we are only human. Things happen. And we have to slow down because life in NY is hectic enough. This is my experience after not seeing a Dr. for a couple years due to COVID. I hope you give them another try.Millie“
