I tried out essence head spa on a weekend midday. Booking online was super easy and I was taken back right when I arrived. The room was cozy with warm lighting and smelled like aromatherapy. Mia was awesome and I thoroughly enjoyed the facial along with the head spa. I booked a 60min head spa and it was so relaxing I literally fell asleep. This is definitely something you splurge on but it is so worth it! I can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful Braids was a WONDERFUL experience! Mariam is professional and personable. She is provides a quality of hair care that signifies she is a blessed braided with gifted hands! A solo braider, braiding long hair can be challenging and uncomfortable but not with Mariam. She looked at the picture, crafted the look, braided the style with consistency and I was completely comfortable and pleased. The excellent care, exceptional customer service, and conversation was so wonderful and worthy of every minute and money for the service.

I have been going to Grace after seeing tons of glowing recommendations on Next Door. There are SO many salons and I’ve exclusively been a Vidal Sassoon gal but driving to Tysons has just become so hard in the last 10 years. I was elated when I found Grace. She is literally the most talented person and she not only cut my hair, but did bayalage for me and keeps it up—totally low maintenance. She is all about keeping your hair healthy and is a font of knowledge and style.Before my daughter’s Make A Wish trip, she had been commenting on how she hates that she has to wait until the end of summer to be blonde (she was always dark blonde that bleaches in the light, but her hair has gotten darker as she has gotten older) and I asked if she wanted to do a bayalage like mom. We looked at some pictures, talked over some options with Grace, and came up with an amazing look. My daughter has a TON of hair and it took a long time but Grace was so patient and played high school musical for my daughter and kept her chatty and she just loved the whole experience.I’ve also gotten to know Grace after all my appointments and I seriously would not trust my hair to anyone else. She takes her job really seriously and you can see why with her gallery of amazing hair creations. It really is art + science.Her salon is sunny, positive, calming and comfortable. Isaiah one of the barbers, hands down is one of the best barbers I’ve ever been to. His attention to detail is unmatched, and you can tell he takes real pride in his craft. Just to clarify, if I could accurately set the stars to how I'd want it, my rating would be closer to a 4.5. With that being said, I got a my haircut on Juneteenth for $45 plus tip. First off, the shop is incredibly put together; a smart tv for entertainment, a mini fridge for drinks, and even pretzel snacks. The barbershop is also incredibly clean, so I can tell this place is cared for and designed for customer satisfaction.
Next, the haircut. When I saw the price, I thought to myself "this better be worth it," and it was! The barber followed what I wanted to a T, giving me an incredible line up and trim without any of the modern enhancements you see today with the black spray. He works with efficiency and precision, giving me the best bang for my buck.
With that being said, I would've taken a half star off because he came in late, and I had a Juneteenth celebration to set up. Admittedly, the cause was out of his control and I understood why he was late, but it did impact my first time cut with the Master Barber.
Despite this, he did an incredible job and I had an engaging conversation with the barber on site. While a bit pricey, the amenities and quality service justifies the price.
Karim is an experienced professional barber. The personal atmosphere at Bevans Grooming is impeccable. I dove 25 miles from Katy to check out the Bevans experience. It was well worth it.

Im very satisfied with this barber Justin. He has the same name as my son and I decided to stop by. My son is special needs and has autism. I would say that this barber has the most patience I’ve ever seen with him. Although my son is sensitive and cries a lot on the chair, not once did I see the barber get frustrated. He was patient and kind and would try to be as fast and perfect with my sons haircut. We have come to build a relationship for the past year and my son tolerates going here. If you have a child with special needs I would 100% recommend this barber as he is non judgmental and very understanding.

Love love love my nails! It's been so long since I've had a nail tech as detailed oriented at May Lee. I am not even exaggerating - there are ZERO flaws to be seen on my gel mani pedi. On top of that, her salon space is welcoming, ridiculously clean, organized and comfortable. Icing on top is that shes super cool, friendly and ai enjoyed laughing with her as well. I dont live in Maryland anymore but anytime im back i'll look forward to seeing her!
Dee is an independent nail artist and she's amazing! She takes her time and does quality work. I see her for gel manicures and I am happy with my nails every time. Dee is attentive to detail and always is able to execute my vision! Her salon is tucked back in a hallway with other studios. Kimmy is the BEST! Kimmy has been doing my nails for years, and they are perfect every time. She knows exactly how I like them, and the attention she gives in the process is exceptional. I brought my son to see Sonya at EmpressStyles that us located inside Signature Salon Pro. We had the most amazing experience. First of all, let me say, Sonya knows what she's doing. I have taken my son to other stylists all over MoCo, and this is the FIRST place we have been that was just totally ON POINT with what he needed and wanted. Not only did she recreate his locs, she educated us each step of the way as to what she was doing and why she was doing it. She was very welcoming, friendly, knowledgable, and super efficient.

Each time I go in to have my hair done, Ralph always smiles and greets me. We chat about things and laugh but for a few minutes he is serious and focuses on ME and my hair. He listens, we discuss any cut or color changes. I've always had him layer my hair but during Covid I let it grow out. When I saw him after 7 months we suggested a blunt cut bob. ( I have very straight hair). He nailed it!! Perfect cut! (Can't stop looking at my hair). He's the best around.

I had a great first experience with Sue at Four Seasons! I've always had a lot whiteheads, and I've tried other facials that included extractions, but they were useless compared to Sue's. She clearly knows what she's doing and does a super thorough job! She also helped me understand my skin type, and the products she recommended have made a difference for me over the past few weeks. I’ve had two appointments with Mona; the first for an eyebrow wax and the most recent for a neck, underarm, and Brazilian wax. Let me just say that I hope she never leaves the area or decides to switch professions because I have definitely found my favorite esthetician!!! Lol. Mona has a wonderful persona and energy and she’s extremely professional. She’s quick with her service but she’s also thorough from what I noticed. Most importantly (to me), her space is very clean AND she made me feel at ease and comfortable which I usually don’t feel during body waxing appointments. I’ve had problems with my skin and after bringing up my concerns, she explained what I could do at home and which products to use to begin seeing a difference. I highly recommend seeing her for your waxing needs!

Instead of Microblading, we switched it up and did Microshading, and I’m so in love with my brows. Not only is Dr.Lara incredibly kind, she really does brows according to your face/shape- it’s not a one size fits all kind of deal. This place is super cute and it’s germaphobe approved. Everything was clean. Required to keep mask on during massage as Covid Protocols, which I appreciate. The masseuses have masks on as well. The atmosphere was nicely set with some calming instrumental music. They were super nice! Gave us a discount and waited for us even though we were 20 minutes late and the last people before they closed (date was running late lol). I’d highly recommend.

Called to get my gas fireplace checked out, since it wasn't igniting. Isak came out to do the diagnostic, quickly determined the issue, gave me an invoice, and got me set up for installation. Repair day came, and Isak returned with Tyler to put my fireplace right. On both visits, they were incredibly respectful, tidy, and quiet (we work from home). I was referred to Hurst by my home warranty company. Tom & Cody came out for a bathtub leak and diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. Tom was nice enough to look at a couple other issues in the home and schedule an appointment to come back to fix those. He took time to answer this paranoid first-time homeowner's questions. I couldn't have asked for better people to fix our plumbing problems.

I had a leak in my boiler return pipe that was located under my basement floor. Stang was very responsive and came out immediately to give me an estimate. Jon was very knowledgeable and was able to fix the leak without tearing up my entire basement. I was helped and checked out on two separate visits by several wonderful associates named Ana, Jose, Evelyn, Mike(manager) and Vishal. These folks were AWESOME! The associates were warm and friendly and did everything they could to ensure I got what I needed. Mike came in to assist with an issue at checkout and to help try to locate an item that showed in-stock. He was a total PRO and offered intelligent conversation while we scoured the store for a tool kit I wanted. Overall, the store was clean and well organized. It seems like this Home Depot is a step above the neighboring ones, so I'd suggest a visit if you are in need of home improvement. I would also seek out one of these very kind people to assist you during your visit. I'm close to Aspen Hill and Bethesda, but this store seems to be worth the additional travel time.

I cannot thank Sky Maids enough. They helped me out numerous times during the course of my PhD, when it was very difficult to keep on top of my day-to-day chores. Maryland Carpet & Tile did a great job replacing very old carpet in our basement with glue down luxury vinyl plank. I appreciated that Brett took the time to go through our options, understand how we intended to use the space, and explained the pros and cons of different flooring.
The install process went really smoothly, even though the concrete under the carpet had a few surprises that had to be fixed before they could begin installing. Alen and his team took care of everything, communicated well, and did a great job.
We're very happy with the final result, and won't hesitate to work with them again when we get around to replacing other flooring in the house.
We hired Frame Kitchen & Bath to redo our upstairs bathroom. Upon meeting with Adam he explained everything and was at our house daily. The workers were here right on time everyday and worked all day nonstop (except for lunch). While here they answered any questions we had. I worked with Armando to replace the second floor and part of the first floor with new flooring. Armando worked with me every step of the way from picking the floor choices all the way to coordinating the work. I was able to schedule my family out of the property while they did the work. They finished early which was fantastic. Armando even helped me out with installing the cabinet toe kicks and moving the dishwasher. Overall excellent work. Dealing with LWF was awesome from start to finish. They helped us in choosing the right flooring type for our kitchen and sunroom project. They also assisted with narrowing down the brand, pattern and color for us to make our final decision and we couldn't be happier. Attached are some before (tile) and after (waterproof vinyl) shots...we especially like how the new simulated wood flooring changes colors based on angle and lighting. I contacted Mistival to remove wooden flooring in my kitchen and replace it with porcelain tile. This is a family-owned business that takes pride in its work. The installation team did an excellent job -- they kept me informed about each step in the process and left the kitchen clean at the end of each work day. The company owner stopped by regularly to check on progress. The finished floor is beautiful. My neighbor was so impressed that she contacted Mistival to redo her kitchen floor. I highly recommend them.

Their pricing was fair to everyone. They communicated well from beginning to end, they did a very nice job and kept the work sight tidy in each phase. I would use them again.
We've hired Complete Floor Services a few times now and I've referred him to my family members who also hired them. The projects included whole house floor refinish, entire second floor conversion from carpet to hardwood and redoing a job that a prior contractor left in ruin and making it absolutely beautiful. Francisco is the best contractor we've ever worked with. The quality of work is excellent. Results are beautiful every time. He has solutions for every challenge. Best of all, he is a great person to work with that you can absolutely trust to give you the best result and service at a great price. I do not call anyone else for my flooring needs.
They did a great job on our kitchen backsplash and worked so efficiently. I couldn’t believe how quickly they got it done. They also were great communicators and well priced.
I had my deck redone with Trex compost wood and a gazebo built on the deck. Elegant Homes did a good job on the deck. The gazebo is screened in and is strong and well built. While the construction was great, esthetically I expected more. The white guard rail on the steps doesn’t match the brown color scheme of the deck. I intend to paint over the white wrap around the deck and the white vent at the top of the gazebo. I also would have wanted embellishments around the top of the gazebo to add to its appeal. I’m sure I would enjoy my deck and gazebo for many years, I just would have wanted it to look more appealing.
D&M once again distinguished themselves installing our new roof project which included house, garage, porch and garden shed. Working with Troy was again a pleasure starting back to 2001 Projects. He was very responsive in estimating and executing this roofing project. The installation crew was very professional and always showed up on time (often early). Their workmanship was excellent on the roofs and their careful protection of our shrubs and final cleanup was outstanding. This was consistent with previous projects done by D&M including new siding, windows and new deck. Highly recommend D&M.

The company did good work to remodel our 3 bathrooms. They had good suggestions for how to lay out bathrooms, and how to turn a closet into a bathroom. They incorporated our suggestions into the design. There were a few problems with the construction including an improperly vented toilet and a problem with the exhaust vents. They came out to fix these problems and I'm now happy with the work. Bartlett’s is more expensive than other services. But they are friendly, knowledgeable and flexible, which makes up that difference . I was very happy I went with them for backyard mature oak tree trimming and soil nutrition. Their forester walked the property with me and gave me great tree advice - not only about the tree I was concerned with. And their pruning crew was efficient and friendly. They even offered to cut and stack the downed branches into firewood for me!
Garcias removed a 48 year old maple tree from my front lawn and removed the stump. They arrived on time, did an excellent job and cleaned up the site. In past years they trimmed many trees and shrubs and removed wind damaged trees. I highly recommend their services.

Honestly Davey exceeded every expectation and then some!! The arborist Javier REALLY know his stuff! Another company told me I should take a tree completely down. Broke my heart. When I tell you that tree is thriving after being pruned, cabled and fertilized!! They pruned and fertilized 5 trees and took down one dead tree on our back field. And the workers worked HARD!!! For 2 days straight they didn't quit. I honestly was afraid to spend the money (which after different bids was right on par) I am SO happy I did. I can't thank these guys enough!! Great chiropractic practice. Dr. Gregory Swistak is so friendly and makes you feel very comfortable. I had a problem with my piriformis muscle and pain radiating down my leg. Dr. Swistak worked on the muscle, used the TENS machine, and put me on a roller bed (feels amazing). Also sent me online exercises to do everyday. After two visits for treatments and my doing the exercises faithfully, the pain decreased considerably. I would highly recommend Active Family Chiropractic.

The process is easy (electric massage, exercise at the end, etc.) and you can expect about an hour average visit - not like some Dr.’s that only see you for 5 min. Dr. Youm is truly experienced and sees me for a good chunk of the visit to help sort out my tension …and also cracks some of ny back along the way. I’m always feeling better! Highly recommend this place - also plenty of parking too.

I have had severe pain in my left thigh above the knee and Dr. Johnathan told me about this new sound wave therapy, and he said he can fix me up. A little skeptical at first I gave it a try. I am so happy after about 6 treatments my pain is 90% better. I may need a few more to get completely better. Thanks Doc.
I used to take my dog here decades ago when I was a teenager. I’ve brought one of my dogs in for her vaccinations and bloodwork and everyone was so nice and friendly. Dr. Strome was really gentle with my Freya and took care of her like she was one of her own.
I’ve been to many vets but this one has been the best.

The veterinarian was super nice and loved my ball pythons. The lobby is also really cool looking they have several fish tanks. They seem to really care a lot about the animals and live their work.
Edit: This is one of the closest places near Frederick that accepts treatment on snakes. Also this veterinary office tries to make sure your animal is living in the right environment and gets the correct and needed nutrients or equipment. I might switch all my animals here even though it’s a long drive.
This is an excellent vet clinic! I can’t recommend them enough. They have taken good care of our puppy and the staff is all excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable and they always remember our pup and her quirks. They got her in same day when she had an ear infection. They were also super helpful when she was having some pain/discomfort after her spay and gave her a different medication which is working well for her. Overall, very responsive and helpful clinic. We look forward to continuing to take our pup here.
Our cats were handled with care, compassion and the veterinary team made sure all our concerns were discussed and anything that needed addressing in the moment was taken care of! We are so happy to have found this clinic!
Dr. Megan Bounds is one of the best veterinary specialists we have worked with in our 40+ years of owning dogs. All of her recommendations and diagnoses have been spot on, which is incredible. On top of that, she is an extremely compassionate and clear communicator, which is so incredibly important when having to deliver what is often disappointing news.
Prior to working with Dr. Bounds, my assumption was that CT or MRI was a far more robust method for confirming a diagnosis. And that frequent bloodwork (every 3-4 months) would be enough to catch any major issues. I can confidently say, I was wrong. We learned far more from Dr. Bounds than any of those methods, all of which are quite costly.
If your vet recommends an ultrasound, do it and work with Dr. Bounds. You may not get the news you were hoping for but Dr. Bounds will be precise, clear, and compassionate.

Could not say enough amazing things about this clinic! I went with my best friend and her English Bulldog, for a check up and just to find a new veterinarian for her beloved Fatboy. Dr. Carrier and Ryan (Vet Tech) were exceptional!!! Compassionate, caring, and you can truly tell they are in this profession for the animals. Our dog had terrible allergy reactions back in 2020 and Dr. Jeffers was able to find alternative ways to help him and minimize his struggles without long term steroid treatment. We could not be happier with both Dr. Jeffers and Anjeli and the way our dog has transformed over the past two years. They never gave up on trying different ways to help him until he made complete recovery. We will always be grateful for their help and dedication.

Physical therapist and acupuncturist Sophie Deng is a gem!! Having gone to her for longstanding pain in my neck and shoulders, Ms. Deng helped ease and then eradicate the pain in a few sessions. What was even more enduring was her instruction about my posture and movement that had contributed to the pain more than arthritis. I learned exercises and proper ways to walk, stand and sit that would ensure my well-being beyond the sessions. Ms. Deng is incredibly knowledgeable, supportive and truly holistic. The office has a lot of parking, in a safe and quiet location, softly lit, lovely paintings, very relaxing. I had no trouble getting my insurance cleared. I highly recommend this practice for pain management!
Hiza is a wondrously gifted physical therapist. He had helped me recover from a broken collarbone with frozen shoulder, a sprained ankle, and a triple-break in my ankle. He has also helped my wife recover from a frozen shoulder and my son strengthen his muscles to better resist dislocations caused by Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. In addition to knowing how to help the body recover, he knows how to make therapy a pleasure with his pleasant banter and caring nature.

I came here to treat the pain in my right wrist, and Dr. Kwon was so knowledgeable and knew exactly how to provide the best treatment for my pain. He was very kind and attentive to my needs, and I immediately felt relief after my session. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Kwon if you are experiencing any nerve issues or body pains!

I go to this doctor for acupuncture every time my eczema flares up or if I'm feeling too stressed throughout the year and every time I go here I always feel more relaxed! Dr. Li is so nice and sweet, and she makes me feel comfortable during every visit I have with her! She always recommends some herbal medicine for me to help with my eczema flares and they've helped a lot! I would highly recommend going here for acupuncture!

I started seeing Dr. Zhao after pulling a muscle in my back. I wanted to explore another option to medication. I am so glad I did!!! Dr. Zhao is extremely knowledgeable, skilled, kind and keeps a clean space. After just a couple of treatments I started feeling so much better. She even treated my knee that started acting up because I was walking differently due to the pain in my back. Dr. Zhao is also VERY flexible with scheduling appointments and will see you almost immediately after contacting her. I highly recommend her!!
