As a family with special needs, finding providers who are patient, understanding, and genuinely inclusive can be challenging—but Shellee is truly exceptional. She takes the time to create a calm, comfortable experience, meets our family exactly where we are, and always ensures that everyone feels respected and at ease. Her kindness, expertise, and attention to detail never go unnoticed.
We return to Shellee every single year without hesitation and will continue to do so. Her work is consistently top-notch, and her commitment to her customers is unmatched. We recommend her to so many people because we trust her completely—not just for the quality of her work, but for the heart she brings to it.
If you’re looking for an eyeglass store where you’ll be treated with compassion, professionalism, and genuine care, Shelly is simply the best.“

As my prescription had changed, I ordered new glasses from Nick, who assisted in finding frames that suited me. Great team at The Optical House!“

164 Sylvan St, Danvers“From the moment we walked in, one staff member truly stood out and made an otherwise overwhelming visit feel manageable. She helped us feel comfortable, supported, and genuinely heard, not just checked in and checked out. A smile from the second you enter, multitasking, and yet compassionate.
Her personality shined in the best way. You can tell she truly loves what she does. She cared about us on a personal level, not just a clinical one, and that made all the difference during a visit that came with a new diagnosis and a lot of nerves for my daughter. I had expressed concern about my daughter's new autoimmune condition and was pleasantly surprised to hear she knew of it and said she understood. The more we conversed, the more I found out she was a mother, a wife, a daughter, and had been in healthcare for close to two decades, and just like my daughter was entering the health and human service field. Sammy will be an asset to any company she works for. My daughter and I were so grateful. My daughter found her on LinkedIn, and we hope MyEyeDr will endorse her.
What meant the most was her willingness to go the extra step and recommend a different type of physician, a specialty I had never heard of, who could help us better understand the diagnosis and feel more at ease. That kind of thoughtfulness and advocacy doesn’t go unnoticed.
Thank you for leading with compassion, kindness, and professionalism. You made a hard day feel lighter, and that matters more than you know. We look forward to returning next year for an annual eye exam and hope she is still there! I would also like to recognize the consultants downstairs! Danvers has an incredible team working together to provide service with gratitude and heart!“

29 Centennial Dr, Peabody“Glasses can be expensive. But I finally worked with the right person. I got one pair of lenses for free. Due to scratch protection. And the other lenses were $200.00. But they called me back said the price was $120.00 that was my best experience.“
10AM - 7PM
11 Newbury St, Danvers“Look at the low reviews. It has nothing to do with the cost or quality of the products. Of course Costco is busy; always has been. You want short lines, go to a high end place and pay 3 times the price, or buy online and roll the dice. I actually think their frame selection is limited and conservative, but again, always has been , so not going to sing them now for that.“

9AM - 6PM
35 Elm St, Danvers“I just wish the staff will be a little more apologetic for my experience of having eye sore immediately after trying on new lenses. They were not happy about me going back within 24 hours to inform them that the lenses they gave me had given me eye sore that significantly affected my work. They did say that maybe it is because I am putting it on at the end of the day. I have changed lenses 5 or 6 times in other places before. This has never happened. They changed it and gave me new lenses in 3 weeks . The new pair still gave me eye sore but I ended up trying it the next day in the morning. The eye sore went away. They promised me if there is anything wrong with it they can help me get another pair. They are a responsible vendor. I am changing my old review to a 5 star.“
