When we found Sanchez heating and cooling, they came in and explained right away what was wrong and even showed us videos and pictures to explain to us in detail what we needed to do. “My AC stopped working on the 3rd of July. I didn't even try to find someone on that holiday weekend,I just did some research to see if I could fix it myself. Most probable cause was listed as the capacitor, and I did find a HVAC place close by that said they couldn't come out, but did have a capacitor they would sell me. I went and got it, installed it, and it did not fix the problem.

I called Sergio the next day. Being the 4th of July, I expected a voice mail but he picked up. We setup Monday afternoon for a service call.
Later that day, he called and said he would not be able to make Monday but could come out today (July 4th) in about twenty minutes if that would be alright and there would be no extra charge.

He came out and quickly confirmed my problem was the fan motor. I explained to him my understanding of how AC units worked to see if I understood them correctly and he cleared up a few things that were foggy on my end but told me I had a fair understanding of how they worked.

He then surprised me by saying he thought I was fully capable of doing this myself and he saw no reason to charge me for coming out. I knew replacing the fan would not be hard job for me but I had called him out for the diagnosis and tried to pay him but he would not except. In today's world, that is a completely refreshing experience. Honest, good people are still out there!

He also said he does other home repairs- electrical, plumping, etc.
His number is staying in my contact list for the future.
