Have had great services from previous and current owner. I recommend for others who prefer to have others pick up their garbage rather than hauling to the dump (transfer station), used to do this when had a truck. The charge is reasonable and gives me back time on the weekend. I have had no billing issues.

Homie took the time to let me tell him exactly how I wanted it and made changes every time I asked with no complaints lol... I was definitely probably annoying him but he did a awesome job and I'll be going back every time I have a new idea! Hope he can put up with me again!!

Joining this Halau has been a life dream and at 73 never thought I could, but I did and when entering the Halau and saying the prayer my heart went back to my youth and the dream. Kumu is amazing and all the dancers are hard workers and care deeply for their practice. If you are interested in being of Hawaii's culture and learn and work out this is the place to go. Heather is an amazing stylist who takes time to evaluate her clients's hair before cutting and styling. She walks you through each step of your style, cut, and color , and gives you simple instructions for styling your hair at home. She's a wonderful lady, and really listens, all for a fair price.
Laura is the best hair stylist I have ever gone to and I found my girl to take care of my hair from here on out. I drove from Kona to Hilo to find someone that specializes in curly hair and she did such an amazing job! I haven't had my hair professionally cut in 7 years and asked for her to cut the dead away and help my curls come back. She's very professional and friendly and extremely knowledgeable about all hair. Any question I asked she happily answered and she taught me how to take care and style my hair at home. I've never been able to so easily achieve the curls I have today and I'm so beyond happy with my hair. I have received countless compliments weeks after getting the haircut and I can't wait to go back.
My first visit to Studio 58 in downtown Hilo was great. My stylist was Manny and I had a shampoo, haircut and blow out/curl. I'm a kupuna with very thin hair past my shoulders. He listened carefully to what I wanted. I have been trying to find a good salon in Hilo for a while now since Kathy Romero, who did my hair since 1990, retired. I've been getting my hair done when I travel to Honolulu and that's not as often as my hair needs attention. Now I can trust in Studio 58 as my place and Manny as my stylist. Prices are very reasonable. Check them out!! I believe you will be very happy you did.

MAHALO to our technicians Tran & Lee today 2/16/24. My bf and I flew to Hilo, HI for our traditional Valentine weekend celebration. We always stop at KTA to purchase groceries, and Maile's Nail Salon is right next to it. Our 1st time walking in and happen to ask if the ladies could take us. They said 'yes', and we were so grateful. They were so nice and accommodating. We had the Delux Pedi, which included a lot of extra time on the lower leg massage, exfoliating scrub, menthol lotion, and following that, the HOT TOWEL.... Sooooo relaxing and invigorating! It is a MUST try. They charged $50 for this service, and it was well worth it!

I made a mistake and tried press-on nails for the first time. After doing everything I could to take them off at home, a trip to another salon, I went here. They took me right before closing. Hanh was extremely patient with me, checking to make sure I was okay, got them off quickly with no pain and it wasn't expensive. Life saver. She took extra steps to file my nails afterwards and they look better than they did before I put on the nails, so thankful

The place to go in Hilo for pampering and relaxation! Kaylee did a phenomenal job providing my mom and I with an amazing “Goddess” spa treatment - facials and a foot scrub. The facial left my sensitive skin feeling refreshed and hydrated, and not irritated at all. The spa package even includes a skin care product - so worth it! I enjoyed this experience so much and felt confident in Kaylee’s professionalism that I came back for a full legs wax. I was amazed how the wax was nearly painless and again, my sensitive skin was hardly irritated. Kaylee was so thoughtful and attentive during the entire appointment and gave me great pointers for aftercare. Thank you, Mermade Spa!

Brand new everything! New massage chairs were wonderful and helped my aches. My nail tech was so sweet and kind to me, I almost started crying in gratitude. I’ve been going to The Honey Pot Hilo to see Srita for waxing and facials for many years because she is simply the best. Her facials are so relaxing, and I always leave with my skin glowing. She brings a wide variety of services for people of all skin types to Hilo, and carries top notch products. Some of my favorite facials are her oxygen facials and her microcurrent facials…but I also can’t wait to try a hydrafacial and/or a dermaplane facial in the future! She is truly amazing and is such comforting personality to be around. Too many good things to say about Srita! I definitely recommend her to anyone.

I had a great experience at South Seas. I walked in and Lex was able to tattoo me the next day. I wanted to get a tattoo of a native bug species and she worked with me to pick out the Koa bug, endemic to Hawai’i. She was so kind to me and my family and I will never forget the experience.

I am thrilled with the experience I had at Tattoo Valor. I am on a Hawaiian cruise for my birthday, my 25th wedding anniversary, and Valentine’s Day, and we were stopping in Hilo for only 8 hours. I have been to Hilo before, so I didn’t need to go on any of the ship excursions, so I decided this would be the perfect time to get a tattoo to commemorate the trip. However, I had not booked an appointment anywhere. Tattoo Valor was the only tattoo parlor that actually answered their phone and they were able to get me in the next day and accommodate my schedule, allowing me to make it back to my ship in plenty of time. I communicated with Pak the evening before my appointment, and sent him pictures of flowers that I liked, and colors that I liked, as well as a few tattoos that I liked. I asked him to make me an anklet tattoo. We discussed the details of the tattoo and also the timing of when we would be able to be there and what time we needed to be finished in order to make it back to the boat. Pak was very helpful and let me know that he would be able to take care of me and make my vision come true and get me done in time to get back to my boat before “all aboard time”. When we got to Tattoo Valor in the morning, Pak already had my tattoo drawn up for me, and was ready to go! He did an amazing job with the details of the flowers and the vines and got the colors and shading spot on to what I was asking for! I am so glad that Pak did my Hawaiian vacation tattoo! The experience was amazing and now I have a beautiful tattoo to remind me of these beautiful islands!

April was very helpful in guiding my husband and myself in the best way to upkeep our 30+-year-old home. We downsized by giving away a lot of things we had new use for. Mitch and his team tented an Association of 8 buildings last week. The team arrived early each day and consistently demonstrated professionalism and friendliness. They were well-organized, clearly understood the scope of the project, and coordinated tasks efficiently. The tenting process was executed smoothly, with two buildings handled at a time, and the entire property was completed within a week.
A special acknowledgment goes to Mitch, whose expertise helped prevent a potential inadvertent fumigation of a neighboring building by identifying a shared electrical conduit line. His attention to detail and quick thinking were instrumental in avoiding a serious issue.
I was initially scheduled for fumigation with another company, but the wait was almost a year out! I called Pacific Termite (Veteran's Termite) and they were able to schedule fumigation earlier. There were a few glitches initially with getting the estimate (person didn't show up when scheduled, but I suspect it was because the person couldn't find my house and the phone number was incorrect....communication with the person at the office who took my call was also lacking). However, Kandy (who followed up with scheduling, etc) was AWESOME and very responsive to emails/calls.

My neck was so messed up I couldn’t turn it for a week. I’m usually so scared of the chiropractor especially with my neck because like my life flashes before my eyes when they crack it but Dr. Cain made me feel so safe and comfortable but also could be a stand up comedian he made me laugh so hard and it took all my anxiety away. I also did some heat therapy and that helped so much. I came back for a follow up and was back in action all better. I was able to heal and I wish I still was on the big island so I could go back when I need it because I trust this man with my delicate spine. 10/10 do recommend.
This review is strictly for Linda Smith the Reiki Master who works out of Klein Wellness Center. I had originally found Linda about two years ago when I was looking specifically for a Reiki Master to work on me. I had researched and found out that the location of Klein Wellness Center was the original home and Reiki center of Mrs. Hawayo Takata. This was very impressive to me so I called them to see if they still offered Reiki and was then introduced to Linda. I didn't know at the time that Linda was new to the island and was just starting up at Klein. And I have had amazing results working with her and have continued to go back every month for a Reiki session. The center itself is an historic home transformed into a chiropractic office. The rooms are comfortable, but not soundproof. The receptionists are more clinical than friendly. But I am not here to see them so I just go with it. If you are looking for a Reiki master, I highly recommend Linda. She is highly attuned.

The staff, from the receptionists to the vet techs to the doctors, are friendly and gentle with our pets. They never make us wait when we arrive for our appointments, and it's great they are open on Saturdays.
Brought a stray kitten in to be seen for an injured paw. Staff was able to accommodate an appointment quickly. I found the staff to be very knowledgeable and compassionate. I have since come back for immunizations and spay procedure. Love this group, highly recommend

Yoga Centered is the real deal, and the energy there is always excellent! Molly is an amazing teacher, and even though I am new to classes I am easily able to follow her cues without even looking, because she will verbally articulate every movement description smoothly so you know what to do next, as well as remind you where to focus so you do it properly and with best results. I also have been absolutely LOVING the Barre classes! I have been wanting to try one for almost 10 years and finally went. They are low impact, perfect for my whiplash injury and focus on building core/legs/glutes which I feel is super important as I age. The teachers I have encountered there so far are all such great quality and many have decades of experience.

We got the best massage from Zander. He did massage for my husband and myself, one after another. He's so knowledgable about body, muscles and focussed on areas that were problematic. He spent time explaning issues and what he's doing. Overall the experience, ambience and his service was just the best: he's such a compassionate person, full of healing energy. He went out of the way after he found out that it was our last day in Hilo, not just he spent extra time on us, he also shared lot of videos so we can continue the healin at home by practicing good postures and techniques. This was my first time getting a massage, and I was feeling pretty apprehensive. I'm used to my muscle tightness going away on its own, but when my neck pain wouldn’t let up, a friend recommended Nancy. Nancy was able to fit me in within two days, and her warm, inviting nature immediately put me at ease. I booked a 60-minute medical massage focused on the pain in my neck and shoulder. Her experience was clear in every movement. When asked, she was able to tell me exactly which muscle group she was targeting and why. The results were almost immediate—my pain went from a 7 down to a 2. I highly recommend.
