I recommend for others who prefer to have others pick up their garbage rather than hauling to the dump (transfer station), used to do this when had a truck. The charge is reasonable and gives me back time on the weekend. I have had no billing issues.

Debbie was friendly, welcoming & professional, suggesting a different style which he loved.
Heather is an amazing stylist who takes time to evaluate her clients's hair before cutting and styling. She walks you through each step of your style, cut, and color , and gives you simple instructions for styling your hair at home. She's a wonderful lady, and really listens, all for a fair price.
Laura is the best hair stylist I have ever gone to and I found my girl to take care of my hair from here on out. I drove from Kona to Hilo to find someone that specializes in curly hair and she did such an amazing job! I haven't had my hair professionally cut in 7 years and asked for her to cut the dead away and help my curls come back. She's very professional and friendly and extremely knowledgeable about all hair. Any question I asked she happily answered and she taught me how to take care and style my hair at home. I've never been able to so easily achieve the curls I have today and I'm so beyond happy with my hair. I have received countless compliments weeks after getting the haircut and I can't wait to go back.

My first visit to Studio 58 in downtown Hilo was great. My stylist was Manny and I had a shampoo, haircut and blow out/curl. I'm a kupuna with very thin hair past my shoulders. He listened carefully to what I wanted. I have been trying to find a good salon in Hilo for a while now since Kathy Romero, who did my hair since 1990, retired. I've been getting my hair done when I travel to Honolulu and that's not as often as my hair needs attention. Now I can trust in Studio 58 as my place and Manny as my stylist. Prices are very reasonable. Check them out!! I believe you will be very happy you did.

MAHALO to our technicians Tran & Lee today 2/16/24. My bf and I flew to Hilo, HI for our traditional Valentine weekend celebration. We always stop at KTA to purchase groceries, and Maile's Nail Salon is right next to it. Our 1st time walking in and happen to ask if the ladies could take us. They said 'yes', and we were so grateful. They were so nice and accommodating. We had the Delux Pedi, which included a lot of extra time on the lower leg massage, exfoliating scrub, menthol lotion, and following that, the HOT TOWEL.... Sooooo relaxing and invigorating! It is a MUST try. They charged $50 for this service, and it was well worth it!

I made a mistake and tried press-on nails for the first time. After doing everything I could to take them off at home, a trip to another salon, I went here. They took me right before closing. Hanh was extremely patient with me, checking to make sure I was okay, got them off quickly with no pain and it wasn't expensive. Life saver. She took extra steps to file my nails afterwards and they look better than they did before I put on the nails, so thankful

I’ve been going to The Honey Pot Hilo to see Srita for waxing and facials for many years because she is simply the best. Her facials are so relaxing, and I always leave with my skin glowing. She brings a wide variety of services for people of all skin types to Hilo, and carries top notch products. Some of my favorite facials are her oxygen facials and her microcurrent facials…but I also can’t wait to try a hydrafacial and/or a dermaplane facial in the future! She is truly amazing and is such comforting personality to be around. Too many good things to say about Srita! I definitely recommend her to anyone.

I am thrilled with the experience I had at Tattoo Valor. I am on a Hawaiian cruise for my birthday, my 25th wedding anniversary, and Valentine’s Day, and we were stopping in Hilo for only 8 hours. I have been to Hilo before, so I didn’t need to go on any of the ship excursions, so I decided this would be the perfect time to get a tattoo to commemorate the trip. However, I had not booked an appointment anywhere. Tattoo Valor was the only tattoo parlor that actually answered their phone and they were able to get me in the next day and accommodate my schedule, allowing me to make it back to my ship in plenty of time. I communicated with Pak the evening before my appointment, and sent him pictures of flowers that I liked, and colors that I liked, as well as a few tattoos that I liked. I asked him to make me an anklet tattoo. We discussed the details of the tattoo and also the timing of when we would be able to be there and what time we needed to be finished in order to make it back to the boat. Pak was very helpful and let me know that he would be able to take care of me and make my vision come true and get me done in time to get back to my boat before “all aboard time”. When we got to Tattoo Valor in the morning, Pak already had my tattoo drawn up for me, and was ready to go! He did an amazing job with the details of the flowers and the vines and got the colors and shading spot on to what I was asking for! I am so glad that Pak did my Hawaiian vacation tattoo! The experience was amazing and now I have a beautiful tattoo to remind me of these beautiful islands!

Mitch and his team tented an Association of 8 buildings last week. The team arrived early each day and consistently demonstrated professionalism and friendliness. They were well-organized, clearly understood the scope of the project, and coordinated tasks efficiently. The tenting process was executed smoothly, with two buildings handled at a time, and the entire property was completed within a week.
A special acknowledgment goes to Mitch, whose expertise helped prevent a potential inadvertent fumigation of a neighboring building by identifying a shared electrical conduit line. His attention to detail and quick thinking were instrumental in avoiding a serious issue.
I was initially scheduled for fumigation with another company, but the wait was almost a year out! I called Pacific Termite (Veteran's Termite) and they were able to schedule fumigation earlier. There were a few glitches initially with getting the estimate (person didn't show up when scheduled, but I suspect it was because the person couldn't find my house and the phone number was incorrect....communication with the person at the office who took my call was also lacking). However, Kandy (who followed up with scheduling, etc) was AWESOME and very responsive to emails/calls.

My neck was so messed up I couldn’t turn it for a week. I’m usually so scared of the chiropractor especially with my neck because like my life flashes before my eyes when they crack it but Dr. Cain made me feel so safe and comfortable but also could be a stand up comedian he made me laugh so hard and it took all my anxiety away. I also did some heat therapy and that helped so much. I came back for a follow up and was back in action all better. I was able to heal and I wish I still was on the big island so I could go back when I need it because I trust this man with my delicate spine. 10/10 do recommend.
Yuko was fantastic. She was extremely friendly and provided an excellent 1-hour massage. I definitely could feel the difference in my body afterwards, and even now, a few days later. I've visited numerous LMTs, and Yuko is honestly one of the best overall. I would definitely see her again in the future. Additionally, the front desk ladies were extremely friendly and humorous. They also helped make the experience relaxed and enjoyable.

Hi everybody! My wife and I live on the Hamakua coast on the Big Island of Hawaii.
We have 6 doggy kids as our furry little children, we love them so much, they are everything to us, our whole ? world.
We took two of our little Five months old sister Brandy and Daisy to get fixed. We did not want to, however we knew we had too.
Good Karma made us feel so comfortable and safe leaving our sweet babies. The lady who took our doggy kids inside, let our sisters be together in the same holding area, to help them feel more comfortable.
Good Karma is very clean, convienant very fairly priced. Good Karma takes very good care of your doggy kids.
So I highly recommend Good Karma, to everyone here on our beautiful island. Daisy and Brandy are doing great, they were tender for a couple of days. Four days after their surgery, they were back to their normal playful loving self .

We are so excited, yesterday our doggy kids notified us the whales are back . We have a pearch that our 6 Chiweenies jump in to look at the ocean, mongooses, dolphins jumping and then for four months, their whales.
So whale sighting between mile marker 16 and 18 Hamakua coast.
Also, we have a doggy YouTube channel of our furry kids called Chiweenie 6.

The staff here is great! They always treat my pet and I very well. Clean facility also.
The staff, from the receptionists to the vet techs to the doctors, are friendly and gentle with our pets. They never make us wait when we arrive for our appointments, and it's great they are open on Saturdays.
Very nice people with great customer service. I highly recommend them for your animals.
I have had the pleasure of being a client of Malia Lyons for 14 years. While still at her previous employment Dr.Lyons assisted, supported and compassionately cared for my soul dog Guardian. Dr. Lyons was straightforward throughout his entire battle till the day he took his last breath in my arms.
I transferred to Aloha Vet upon hearing Dr. Lyons was moving there. Aloha Vet has shown my family nothing but utmost respect, support and compassion from their receptionists, vet techs, pharmacists, specialist and Veterinarians.

Yoga Centered is the real deal, and the energy there is always excellent! Molly is an amazing teacher, and even though I am new to classes I am easily able to follow her cues without even looking, because she will verbally articulate every movement description smoothly so you know what to do next, as well as remind you where to focus so you do it properly and with best results. I also have been absolutely LOVING the Barre classes! I have been wanting to try one for almost 10 years and finally went. They are low impact, perfect for my whiplash injury and focus on building core/legs/glutes which I feel is super important as I age. The teachers I have encountered there so far are all such great quality and many have decades of experience.
Yoga Centered is unique in the diversity and quality of their classes. There is truly something for everyone here. it's a beautiful, welcoming space for practice. Yoga hour is great for intermediate or advanced yogis. Also, a $6 yoga class can’t be beat. Rachel was the instructor and she was great.

She has helped to heal more than just my injuries as a strength athlete; she has helped me calm my overactive nervous system more times than I can count. She has had me feeling like I could breathe deeply without fear clinging onto my tendons and fibers. Adele has been an integral part of my wellness routine in both mind and body as someone who is neurodivergent (ADHD). If you need help unmasking injuries and dysfunction in your body, she is the best of the best and WILL find the issue with a curious and kind hand. She has helped my healing process and guided my muscles back to functionality from my head to my toes (including reinjured sites). If you need help with emotional/nervous system regulation, she is still the best of the best. Every session is a reset; I couldn't recommend her more. ♡

Banyan Massage Hale offers the best massages and bodywork on the island. I've gone to many places throughout the island in the last 5 years and this is the place that I always want to come back to.

I've worked with Anne and Melissa for Ashiatsu and Lomilomi(both attentive and amazing), Jarica for acupuncture and cupping, and have been working with Victoria since June. Victoria is also an esthetician who offers a beautiful blend of deep tissue, ashiatsu, Thai massage, and gives amazing face massages. I'm looking forward to my appointment this afternoon and can't recommend this place enough!

This was my first time getting a massage, and I was feeling pretty apprehensive. I'm used to my muscle tightness going away on its own, but when my neck pain wouldn’t let up, a friend recommended Nancy. Nancy was able to fit me in within two days, and her warm, inviting nature immediately put me at ease. I booked a 60-minute medical massage focused on the pain in my neck and shoulder. Her experience was clear in every movement. When asked, she was able to tell me exactly which muscle group she was targeting and why. The results were almost immediate—my pain went from a 7 down to a 2. I highly recommend.

Being that I suffer from chronic pain, being able to soak in the Hot Tub and then be able to use a Sauna was an absolute plus for me.
They are still in their Beta stage, meaning they still have more area and services to add.
But they are open for clients. Can't wait to see what more they are planned for!

I had an incredibly positive experience at A Touch of Heaven Massage Therapy in Hilo, Hawaii. Sherry was responsive, exuding a super calm demeanor. Not only was she accommodating, but the massage itself was one of the most relaxing I've ever had. I am 20 weeks pregnant and she has plenty of pillows and options to ensure I was comfortable and safe! I wholeheartedly recommend Sherry’s services!
My 1st visit to this awesome place. It's been a long time since I treated myself to a massage. I so needed one as I've felt worn out from work etc. Sophia was awesome almost put me to sleep. My sister and I and our two husbands all had massages at "Balanced Life Acupuncture and Massage" in Hilo and they were probably the best massages we have ever had! We are all massage junkies and so we know our stuff :-) Also the positive vibe of the masseuses was incredible and stayed with us even after we left the facility. I got acupuncture at a different place but I would definitely come back and try the acupuncture if I am back over to Hilo from Honolulu because they are so knowledgeable! We all said we would have come back the next day if we weren't on a cruise and forced to leave. My masseuse was Micha but they were both fantastic TRY THEM
I’ve had a couple massages with Puni. She always makes you feel very comfortable, relaxed and when your massage is over you feel leaving very refreshed. She is very Affordable and is the only person i would recommend to anyone in the Hilo Area!
During my first visit with Aaron Ishigo for acupuncture, I was so amazed that my mobility and pain in my left shoulder area severely decreased almost instantly. The treatment was painless and very efficient. I will definitely return and continue to come here for future shoulder pain maintenance and care. The environment was friendly and welcoming as a first time patient.
I went from the advice of two friends and my husband, and boy, am I glad I listened! I had acupuncture for the 1st time, and a massage and adjustment. It was really soothing and it worked like magic! I was a little sore the next day, so I rested, but next day, I could tell from my home workout, that I didn’t “click” like I had, and I felt stronger and “back to normal”. What a gift.
