637 Sweetwater Rd, Spring Valley“The House of Discipline has been a blessing to me and my family. I started off enrolling my daughter in the evening class with Mr. De La Rosa. She hated it. She cried every night for about 2 weeks. So I then joined his early morning 8am women's workout class, to show my daughter it wasn't that bad. ??? The joke was on me beause Sensei as I call him KICKED MY BUTT!!! That class was SOOO hard, I found myself crying. I didn't show fear or tears during the class but in the car I would ask myself what I was doing. I would pray before class everyday and question why I came. But the more I went and the harder he pushed the more and more I became stronger in myself knowing that my body did not control me I controlled me. I reciprocated that to my daughter as well. After 2 weeks she was EXCITED to go to class. We started taking classes in July 2024. She has been consistent since July. We are in February 2025. I slacked in November and December, but I came back January 2025. It's been real but I would not have chosen a better place to work out. Mentally, physically, and supportively House of Discipline is the place. The staff is top tier. It's definitely A FAMILY. Sensei (Mr. Dela Rosa) is tight as my mom would say, but he's RIGHT. You don't want someone who you can walk over who is helping you work out, you want someone who will help you excel to the goal you have set . House of Discipline will help you reach your potential and beyond. I saw results in a month. Consistency is key. The program that is in place for the kids is definitely one that I have never seen before. My daughter is pushed to gain not only physical knowledge but common sense and thinking skills. I teach those things but to have someone else help push those skills is SOOOO important because the schools don't do that anymore. If you need a village House of Discipline is the VILLAGE. Thank you House of Discipline for the extension of FAMILY. ?“

Their instructors and staff are so lovely. I've attended HIIT, slow, flow, Hi-Lo and restore each class has helped me relax and become present. Yes, even HIIT - it's beginner friendly and the instructors are so encouraging.“

9029 Park Plaza Dr #200, La Mesa“Excellent massage therapy session with Eijon (Ee-EYE-jon). An Armed Forces veteran with a gentle demeanor and holistic massage training, he applied pressure at just the right amounts where he found knots and tightness, especially in my shoulders and low back, which had been hurting me for the past couple of days. The small office and massage room are quiet, cell phone free zones that make you feel relaxed the second you walk in the door. I found their fee for a 50 minute Swedish massage to be less than some of the other "upscale" places I've contacted in the San Carlos area. I would highly recommend bodywork by Bobbi and, if he's available, Eijon. Booking online was fast and simple. Don't go to one of those cheap foot massage places if you need a therapeutic massage. Go here. This will be my go to place for therapeutic massage from now on.“

8011 University Ave Suite C3, La Mesa“Love love love Club Pilates! All the instructors are amazing and have their own style. Stacy Carlock - I cannot say enough good things about her. She is the reason I signed up and one of my most favorite instructors. She is fun, a ray of sunshine and just as important she knows how to teach. She gives excellent instruction for correct form. I feel like she truly cares. Another fav is Rhonda, super funny and her classes kick my butt. Actually both Stacy and Rhonda's bar classes I really feel the next day! Stacy Evans, Julie and Jennica are also fantastic. They really all are. There is something for everyone, from center and balance when I want a relaxing moment to a bar class when I want a major workout and everything in between. Club Pilates has changed my life. I no longer have knee pain, my hips and back feel so much better and my ankle strength (lots of rolled ankles in the past) is much better. I feel more stable. But it's the mental aspect of it that makes it 1000 times worth it. It's like meditation for me... the one hour a day I focus on only what the instructor is saying. My stress melts away and I feel better all around. Highly recommend!“

8324 Parkway Dr, La Mesa“My daughter has been coming to this studio for almost a year. She loves it! Her mental and physical discipline has improved so much. Instead of not knowing how to harness her own strength, she's become more observant of her surroundings and precise with her movements. She also comes home tired from her Kung Fu class, which is wonderful because she has so much energy.
I also enjoy and respect the way Sifu speaks to the kids. His language, choice of words, and his guidance is something that kids need more of these days. I'm grateful for his knowledge and the way he shares that with the youth.
I highly recommend this studio for kids (or even young adults) who need focus, strength, discipline, wisdom, and just a fun way to exert the body.“

1069 Graves Ave #104, El Cajon“Thanks to Melissa at Optimum Condition, the exercise program she designed for me has paid off. I had a bone scan sometime ago and I there's good news from my doctor. He said I don't have to go back on the medication I was taking to prevent osteoporosis. in fact, there's been an improvement in my hip and lower back. I had been taking a medication that I was told I would be on for the rest of my life because of my weak bones. But the exercising has helped me build muscle and strengthen my bones, so now I'm off the medication. Some years ago, I had a stroke. Melissa designed a program that has helped me in my rehabilitation, and improve my strength and balance. She understands how the body works and how it can repair itself, which has been the case with my weak bones. I'm very grateful to her“

7434 Jackson Dr Suite B, San Diego“First time I tried Pilates. Great instructor. Made it fun. Cannot wait to go back and do it again. Such an interesting combination of equipment and movement. My spine is fused in multiple places and I feel like this is something I will be able to do and enjoy, now and in the future.“
“Excellent place to learn yoga (astanga method). Practice makes body flexible and strong also heals body and mind. I am IT engineer for more than 15years. My metabolism degraded with sitting and working for long hours. This method benefitted me to regain my strength and improved digestion and metabolism, also improved triglycerides levels a lot. Andrew is excellent teacher and very friendly. Very lucky to be have him in San Diego and learning yoga with him.“

9460 Mira Mesa Blvd Unit P, San Diego“Just started my Pilates journey, I was really nervous about it for no reason.I took a free 30 min class before signing up and Sahar won me over. By far my favorite instructor here. I'm only 3 classes in but really enjoying it. I went with the unlimited pass so I could take as many classes as I want a month. Since it's lighter strain I wanted to be able to do more. When you start you have to stick to level 1 or 1.5 when you get more acclimated. Since it's a small studio classes fill up fast. The app is really easy to use though. I book all my classes a week or two in advance. Since level 1 gets filled up and since I work it's hard to take the mid day classes. Even if you are new to Pilates the instructors are very friendly and accommodating to meet your fitness level. They will show you how to work the machines and the right positions. New lingo to learn but you'll catch on after a class or two.So far booking ahead has worked for me. Each instructor is different so you'll never experience the same class twice. We use a variety of different weights and tools along with the reformer to build our strength. I was sore after my first class! Just a heads up I do recommend taking the free crash course if you have never done Pilates before then sign up. You are locked in for the first 3 months and then you can cancel anytime after that. And there is fee for last minute cancellations.“

“Balanced Yogi is a truly special studio. From the first class, the space feels welcoming, grounding, and uplifting all at once. The community is genuine, the energy is supportive, and every class is built with intention. There’s a rare sense of balance between challenge and calm that leaves the body stronger and the mind clearer.
The variety of offerings creates the perfect environment to explore, expand, and evolve your entire yoga practice. Heated vinyasa builds power and focus. Yin and sound healing offer rest and deep release. Slow flow restores the nervous system. This mix supports total well-being and brings unexpected transformation when different modalities are explored.
The teaching team is outstanding—each instructor brings something different, yet equally valuable, to the experience:
? Keshia L. delivers one of the most energizing and effective Sculpt classes anywhere. Every movement is purposeful. Every cue is on point. Expect to work, sweat, and feel accomplished.
? Noemi brings sharp focus and real encouragement. Her Sculpt classes are driven, clear, and empowering, with a presence that feels grounded and motivating.
✨ Mace leads with warmth and creativity. Her flows are smooth and rewarding, and her energy lifts the entire room. Positivity is a constant in every session.
? Michell F. brings both fire and grace. Her Sculpt classes are dynamic, and her calming spirit stays with you long after the mat is rolled up. A joy to learn from and connect with.
? Alyssa A. offers the ultimate reset in Sunday Slow Flow. Her guidance is gentle and steady, and the experience always feels like a gift to the nervous system and soul.
Discovered through ClassPass, this studio quickly became a favorite. Even with a move coming up, return visits are already in mind. For anyone curious about getting back into yoga, deepening a practice, or just needing a place to land—say yes. Take the class. Book the spot. You’ll feel the difference. ?“
