“From the start I could tell that Adkins was a professional. He was on time, personable, and listened carefully to what I needed. Then, when he understood what my requirements were, he made his recommendations. There wasn’t any pressure, and he didn’t waste my time trying to upsell me on additional services or products that I didn’t want or need. In my experience, professionals like Adkins usually come at a premium, so I was pleasantly surprised when his bids were some of the most competitive. Adkins made picking Bay Energy Solutions out of my pile of bids a no-brainer.When the day came for the installation, his crew showed up on time. They were all polite, friendly, and answered any questions and resolved any concerns. In all it took them 2 days to remove my existing unit (attic install) and install a new heat pump. The fact that I remember all their names is a testament to how much they impressed me (I’m awful with names, just ask my wife).When it was all said and done, we came away feeling good about spending as much as we did for the upgrade. And I’m certain that’s NEVER happened before. Ever.TLDR: This is just one more of a long list of 5-star reviews for Bay Energy Solutions. “Very professional and knowledgeable. Another company told me that my furnace could not be repaired and would need to be replaced. The Hassler technicians were able to get it working without making any repairs. The other company was either incompetent or disreputable. In the future, I'm calling Hassler first!“

“My furnace started making strange noises on Sat. I called El Cerrito Heating, and since furnace was working, they scheduled a visit to see what the noise was/ repair for Thur. Great! Then the furnace died. I called on Tues morning, and Rob said he could come by later that day. He came early afternoon, and we both agreed that the furnace was probably about 50 years old, and needed replacement. Gave me a decent estimate for replacement. (I had talked to other companies and had a price range for replacement.) Rob came the next morning with the new furnace. A safer, quieter, and energy efficient furnace. Also put in a new programmable thermostat. All up and running by that afternoon, for the estimated price. I highly recommend El Cerrito Heating. Family owned, local business. Rob is great to work with. By the way, the other companies I contacted couldn't even come look at the furnace, much less repair or replace for at least a week or more.“

“I worked with All Things Good recently and had an excellent experience. I had a wall gas heater removed and an electric heat pump with two mini-splits installed. Things went well from start to finish.First, Casey came out for the initial evaluation and proposal. He was knowledgeable, helpful and his communication afterwards was prompt. He recommended adding in insulation which I have noticed has made a big difference already in maintaining the temperature inside my home. He also informed me that I would be eligible for a GoGreen home loan to help finance the project which was a big help.Next, Ricky, the lead on the installation team was also very communicative. He kept me informed about the timing of the project. The install team was friendly and worked quickly. Ricky also helped me afterwards with the warranty.Alex, the owner of the company, walked me through the GoGreen application and gave the supporting documentation to the loan company for that. He was communicative and very helpful in that regard.Lastly, Stacie who works in the office, drove out to my house today to be sure that the rebate forms are in order to qualify me for the rebate. I was so appreciative that she took the time to do that.All in all, I felt that this was one of those rare companies that treats you like they would treat a family member. The price they gave me was the same as another Bay Area company, but the service, the help with the GoGreen loan and the help with the rebate made them stand out. I am thinking about another project and I will definitely go back to them.“

“My heat was blowing cold air during a particularly cold spell. I called Vigil, and they returned my call within about an hour. They were very busy and couldn't schedule me for a couple of days. But then they called back because they had an opening for the next day! The serviceman spent a few hours working on the furnace, tested it, explained everything, answered all my questions, and was respectful of my home. He was professional and knowledgeable. Vigil had quoted me a price for the service call over the phone. Parts would be additional. I paid the price of the service call. No parts were needed!“

“Advanced Home Energy helped me do a whole efficiency upgrade to my home. Their technician Laura first came and did a test-in. She used high-tech tools to measure the leakage of the house and the old ductwork, the performance and safety of all my gas appliances, efficiency of windows, and existing insulation. Then they sent me an extremely thorough report with recommendations, explanations, and projected energy savings for different measures we could take. We ended up replacing my 1955 furnace with a new high efficiency furnace, and they suggested I put it in my attic instead of a closet. We actually gained a huge closet space as a side-benefit! AHE then installed all new insulated ducts and sealed them super-tight. There was one guy who spent a whole day literally painting this duct mastic inside all my register boxes so they'd be absolutely air-tight. Then after the furnace was installed, we did blown-in cellulose in my attic and walls, air sealing in the crawlspace, all new dual-pane windows which look GREAT, and I even got a nice set of pull-down attic stairs out of the deal where there used to be just a 2' x 2' hole. I had asked if the furnace be situated so that I could have some attic storage space available, and they more than accommodated my request. I also asked if the furnace would be quiet, and they explained that to help with this, they install an "acoustic loop" in the return air duct, which means that the duct travels a longer distance between the return air grille in my ceiling and the actuall furnace. Man, I can barely hear this thing when it fires up!Laura came back and did a test-out, to see if they had met their projected energy savings. They hadn't only met them, they had exceeded them. They submitted all the paperwork to the Energy Upgrade California program, and about 6 weeks later, I got a rebate check for $4500!!!!!Now we are several months into winter, and I was really curious what our utility bills would look like. Well, let me start by saying that my wife had a baby (a home birth in our toasty, quiet house!) on December 7. We had the thermostat set on 71 degrees for the entire month of December and January, all day, every day. Last winter, I kept the thermostat on 68 at night, and left it off for 8 hours a day while we were at work. Even with the extreme increase in heat usage from last winter to this winter, our energy bills are HALF of what they used to be. I'm saving at least $100/month all winter. Between that and the rebate, this job is going to pay for itself within 10 years. And my family and I get the benefits of living in a quiet, comfortable home. I am absolutely elated. Why isn't everyone doing this?!? Thanks, AHE!“
“I can't say enough for this company. Rich is very knowledgeable and is honest. This is the second time I used this company and his fees are very reasonable. He checked out my air conditioning, put new batteries in my thermostat and added refrigerant and didn't charge me anything. I would give him 100% rating.“

“Very satisfied with our heat pump system so far, especially just having used it in the cool mode during recent warm weather. Also very nice, and perhaps health-saving, is running it in fan-only mode with a MERV 13 filter to improve the air quality in the house. (We have a unit that replaced our conventional gas furnace and is directly connected to our existing ducts.) Works very well. The installation and startup went smoothly. The installers neatened up some of our ducts on which the insulation had become bedraggled. I especially appreciate the help that our sales rep, Matt Hiteshew, gave us to understand the new sophisticated thermostat and other items. We haven't had much experience yet with the system as a heater, but as of today, we highly recommend A-1.“
“Andrew and his team at green energy home improvement were beyond amazing and accommodating during this pandemic, as well as the fires. They were able to see us in a relatively short time when our A/C system and furnace completely died. They not only diagnosed the issue, we needed a new system, but were able to squeeze us in quickly and do the job (when other companies couldn't fit us in for weeks).Andrew understood that with the heat wave and the heavy smoke we needed a new system ASAP, and made it happen. “Kel-Aire was super responsive to my parents’ request for service. Their 40+ year old heater wouldn’t power up and - being a local business - they were able to squeeze in a same-day appointment. They identified the problem straight away and remedied on the spot and provided a fair quote beforehand. Very grateful for their helpful and friendly disposition since my parents are now in their 80s. I will definitely call on them for maintenance on my house in the Spring.“
