“Element did a fantastic job during the sales process, the planning, the job, and coordinating the testing and inspections. Eduardo was my rep, and not only was he a great consultant for a pretty complex job, he was also the on-site project lead during the install getting his hands dirty along with the rest of the crew.There's a saying that you can have good, fast, or cheap...pick two. Element was very good and very fast. They weren't the cheapest estimate I received, but they were very thorough throughout the process, and ultimately completed a pretty complex job of insulation removal, replacement, installing two heat pumps and air handlers, electrical, and all new ductwork on two floors in just 2.5 days.Eduardo spent a considerable amount of time answering my questions over the course of 1-2 months before I decided to go forward, ultimately spending nearly 2hrs in the later stage of the sales process building a detailed project plan with me throughout the house. During the install a huge crew showed up and banged everything out super fast with almost no mess after the job beyond what was pre-planned for.As they say, you get what you pay for, and Element was solid end to end.“

“Reid Heating provides excellent and responsive service at a fair price. They went out of their way to quickly obtain the necessary parts to repair our radiant heating system so that we didn't have to endure a cold home any longer than necessary during the winter. Everyone from their office staff to the repair technician were very helpful and knowledgeable. They even tried to first walked us through an attempted self-diagnosis (by phone) of the problem which could have resolved the situation without the need for someone to come out to our house. “Advanced Home Energy helped me do a whole efficiency upgrade to my home. Their technician Laura first came and did a test-in. She used high-tech tools to measure the leakage of the house and the old ductwork, the performance and safety of all my gas appliances, efficiency of windows, and existing insulation. Then they sent me an extremely thorough report with recommendations, explanations, and projected energy savings for different measures we could take. We ended up replacing my 1955 furnace with a new high efficiency furnace, and they suggested I put it in my attic instead of a closet. We actually gained a huge closet space as a side-benefit! AHE then installed all new insulated ducts and sealed them super-tight. There was one guy who spent a whole day literally painting this duct mastic inside all my register boxes so they'd be absolutely air-tight. Then after the furnace was installed, we did blown-in cellulose in my attic and walls, air sealing in the crawlspace, all new dual-pane windows which look GREAT, and I even got a nice set of pull-down attic stairs out of the deal where there used to be just a 2' x 2' hole. I had asked if the furnace be situated so that I could have some attic storage space available, and they more than accommodated my request. I also asked if the furnace would be quiet, and they explained that to help with this, they install an "acoustic loop" in the return air duct, which means that the duct travels a longer distance between the return air grille in my ceiling and the actuall furnace. Man, I can barely hear this thing when it fires up!Laura came back and did a test-out, to see if they had met their projected energy savings. They hadn't only met them, they had exceeded them. They submitted all the paperwork to the Energy Upgrade California program, and about 6 weeks later, I got a rebate check for $4500!!!!!Now we are several months into winter, and I was really curious what our utility bills would look like. Well, let me start by saying that my wife had a baby (a home birth in our toasty, quiet house!) on December 7. We had the thermostat set on 71 degrees for the entire month of December and January, all day, every day. Last winter, I kept the thermostat on 68 at night, and left it off for 8 hours a day while we were at work. Even with the extreme increase in heat usage from last winter to this winter, our energy bills are HALF of what they used to be. I'm saving at least $100/month all winter. Between that and the rebate, this job is going to pay for itself within 10 years. And my family and I get the benefits of living in a quiet, comfortable home. I am absolutely elated. He checked out my air conditioning, put new batteries in my thermostat and added refrigerant and didn't charge me anything. I would give him 100% rating.“

The Hassler technicians were able to get it working without making any repairs. The other company was either incompetent or disreputable. In the future, I'm calling Hassler first!“

They identified the problem straight away and remedied on the spot and provided a fair quote beforehand. “My furnace started making strange noises on Sat. I called El Cerrito Heating, and since furnace was working, they scheduled a visit to see what the noise was/ repair for Thur. Great! Then the furnace died. I called on Tues morning, and Rob said he could come by later that day. He came early afternoon, and we both agreed that the furnace was probably about 50 years old, and needed replacement. Gave me a decent estimate for replacement. (I had talked to other companies and had a price range for replacement.) Rob came the next morning with the new furnace. A safer, quieter, and energy efficient furnace. Also put in a new programmable thermostat. All up and running by that afternoon, for the estimated price. I highly recommend El Cerrito Heating. Family owned, local business. Rob is great to work with. By the way, the other companies I contacted couldn't even come look at the furnace, much less repair or replace for at least a week or more.“

“I worked with All Things Good recently and had an excellent experience. I had a wall gas heater removed and an electric heat pump with two mini-splits installed. Things went well from start to finish.First, Casey came out for the initial evaluation and proposal. He was knowledgeable, helpful and his communication afterwards was prompt. He recommended adding in insulation which I have noticed has made a big difference already in maintaining the temperature inside my home. He also informed me that I would be eligible for a GoGreen home loan to help finance the project which was a big help.Next, Ricky, the lead on the installation team was also very communicative. He kept me informed about the timing of the project. The install team was friendly and worked quickly. Ricky also helped me afterwards with the warranty.Alex, the owner of the company, walked me through the GoGreen application and gave the supporting documentation to the loan company for that. He was communicative and very helpful in that regard.Lastly, Stacie who works in the office, drove out to my house today to be sure that the rebate forms are in order to qualify me for the rebate. I was so appreciative that she took the time to do that.All in all, I felt that this was one of those rare companies that treats you like they would treat a family member. The price they gave me was the same as another Bay Area company, but the service, the help with the GoGreen loan and the help with the rebate made them stand out. I am thinking about another project and I will definitely go back to them.“
