“I went to RPT in October 2026 with a 1.5 mile time of 18 min and I needed to get down to 15 within 7 weeks. I pushed hard and worked hard but I didn’t know if it was going to be possible. Trainer Ray never let me give up, some days even running with me so I could learn to pace and breathe. I bought the package with the nutrition and followed it daily. I listened to everything Ray told me to do, including my recovery and resting days. Today I passed my academy with a 13:30 time which would have not been possible without Ray and the RPT team. Ray has checked on me even when I left and no longer a client and has made me feel like part of the RPT team and family not just a client. Thank you for your dedication to your clients and putting in the work to get me where I am today.”

“Just took my first class at Club Pilates, and it was fantastic! Ricardo is an excellent instructor; his directives were clear, he offered lower intensity alternatives if needed, and was great with form adjustments. Can't wait to go back... when I will most likely purchase at least one pair of their super cute socks :)”

“I visit all yoga box Studios in San Diego, currently the one I visit the most is the one in Chula Vista. They recently opened and I really like Robert’s flow. His classes are very intentional, you are not only working out, you’re also leaving there with inspiration and a positive outlook. Another reason why I love the practice.”

“Grateful for Re+Active PT - A Heartfelt Thanks Yesterday, Sam’s last official session at Re+Active PT was bittersweet. We are incredibly grateful for everything they've done for him. From the very first day we walked through their doors, they welcomed us like family. The team not only helped Sam manage his physical struggles but gave him back a sense of joy and confidence we hadn't seen in a long time. Sam even gave them a special thank-you gift: pens, keychains, and bookmarks he made, which he handed out to the staff. It was a beautiful moment to see their smiles in return, knowing he had a part in making their day. ? While this chapter of the 8-week program has officially ended, we’re not saying goodbye to Re+Active. We plan to continue visiting and, as we’re able, schedule additional sessions. They’ve been such an integral part of Sam’s journey, and we can’t wait to stay a part of their community. ?”

“Sooooo... I drank the Crossfit Kool-aid. After years of watching my husband practice this crazy sport, I finally gave in.

I am not now, nor have I ever been a sporty person. I started coming to Mixtape for their yoga classes. Loved it. I then moved on to spin classes. Yes! I can do this. Now I'm doing the crazy WOD (Workout of the Day). I'm actually doing things in the gym I would have never thought I could do.

The coaches are without exception knowledgeable,
approachable, and encouraging. They modify and accomodate the workouts to your level of fitness. The facility is not like a typical chain gym, but it is clean and welcoming. But the NUMBER ONE REASON why I keep coming back is the sense of community that Coaches Sadie and Jason have fostered in their business. The inclusivity and comaraderie and overall lovefest I feel here are everything. Having a cruddy day at work? Come to the box. Relationship woes? Come to the box. Too many tamales? Come to the box. You'll sweat. You'll laugh. You'll feel better. Did I mention this is a dog-friendly spot? Seriosuly... come this box!!!”

“The Vibe: Focused. Traditional. Exploratory.

The Class: Intermediate Iyengar Yoga with Yasmin

It was rather presumptuous of me to walk into an intermediate Iyengar class having never practiced Iyengar Yoga before.
And still…I was welcomed with warmth and openness from the teacher, Yasmin, and fellow yogis.

I quietly followed the more experienced practitioners as everyone grabbed their props: Bolster, strap, blanket, wooden block. (***Note to Self: Beginner’s Mind is the MOST important prop to bring into a yoga room.)

Class began with three rounds of Om and a meditative invocation chant - an honoring of the lineage and practice itself.
And immediately, the intention became clear:
* Alignment.
* Openness.
* Breath.

We started on our backs with stretches and twists while Yasmin guided attention toward alignment within each asana. Sanskrit cues were used throughout class, and many of the postures were demonstrated from a platform at the front of the room.

The Feel: The practice felt deeply focused and incredibly exploratory at the same time.

Handstands and headstands were practiced at the wall. One variation had the elbows covering our eyes. This shape was completely new to me. (I couldn’t even find a picture of this version online. Totally new territory.)

Ropes assisted reverse prayer in Pyramid Pose. Blocks supported backbends. Blankets beneath the sitting bones created more stability, awareness, and depth within stretches.

The Studio: Spacious. Grounded. Traditional.
The concrete floors made the blankets and props especially appreciated.

The room held a sense of discipline, concentration, and respect for the practice. I came with curiosity and playfulness, and those were welcomed too!

Sum-Up: If it’s your very first Iyengar Yoga class, I probably wouldn’t recommend jumping straight into an intermediate level class like I did.

However, I found the experience delightful. I respectfully followed along, stayed connected to my breath, and left having explored entirely new shapes, sensations, and possibilities within my body.

Practical Notes: Paid Parking behind the studio. All props provided. Bring a yoga mat and curiosity!”
