“SODO Vision Care is my go-to eye exam place. I have been going to them for nearly 15+ years. They are very affordable.
I really like the Dr Kim who I have been fortunate to be assigned for most of my exams. She is very efficient and precise when it comes to my exam and very friendly providing detailed insights to the health of my eyes over the years.
Definitely will always recommend them.

“My first visit to West Seattle Optix and I was so pleased. It was a very busy time while I was there and somehow no one seemed rushed, or tried to hurry me along. I arrived a bit early so I could browse the eyewear but wound up actually using my own frames, which was not any problem. Everyone was pleasant, helpful and seemed truly happy in their job.“

“Went into the U Village Seattle store looking for frames only (intended to have lenses made at Costco) and was helped by Briana, an incredibly knowledgeable and friendly staff member whose recommended frames I ended up selecting. I would have never thought to pick them myself, but after seeing what I was selecting, took a chance in suggesting a style/shape I hadn't considered. She gave me time to try each set on, stepping away for a bit of privacy and returning to provide whatever assistance I may have needed. Also appreciated the price point of the frames as well as the quality.
My husband has purchased prescription glasses from Warby Parker in the past, had a pair munched by our puppy the day he received them, and they replaced the lenses free of charge!

“Taking the pandemic into account, they were wonderful. I've had corrective lenses for more than 30 years; the doctor was friendly and did a great job with the prescription and contacts fitting (will update if needed after my follow up visit with him next week). The store had a nice selection of frames and the staff was great. Very patient with me and brought out other colors; even disinfected a few pairs that another customer had just viewed so I could try them. They were taking the time to clean everything & all staff was careful about safety and sanitation diring the pandemic“

“My previous optometrist closed their office, so I had to find a new vision center. I had my first appointment at Binyon Oak Tree yesterday and it was a pleasurable visit. Dr. Wong was very warm and friendly to converse with. She was thorough with running tests, explained results in a clear manner and answered any questions I had.The office is located in a strip mall, and the waiting area isn't anything glamorous, but don't let that sway you away from scheduling an appointment here. Their selection of frames is somewhat small, so I'll be looking elsewhere, but I also didn't feel pressured. They're also still prioritizing hygienic Covid practices. They sanitize the frames after each person tries them on, and require that you wear a mask. I'm happy that I found a new optometrist that I'll gladly return to each year.“

“I found Seattle Eye as I was looking for a shop that carries a particular brand of frames (Moscot) and they were the only shop in the area that does. I am certainly glad I did. Paul and his associates are top notch. Paul is extremely knowledgeable in how to fit eyeglasses properly, something that is very rare. Most places I've been to, it's pick something off multiple racks of frames with someone saying "oh those look good " for every frame you try on. Not here, Paul was able to explain what would work for my facial structure and complexion in terms of frame style, color and sizing. Seattle Eye, are by far the best experience I've had shopping for glasses in a long time. I live out in Monroe and wasn't finding what I wanted, through a search I connected with Seattle Eye. Paul ordered in several frames for me to try on, as I couldn't decide what I wanted just from the Moscot website and in store stock. They also have a great selection of other brands as I almost went with another brand. I also purchased a a pair of Rudy Project cycling glasses in my prescription as well. I did not have my eyes examined by them as I had had it done in Monroe where I live. What I will say is the lab they use is truly excellent as well. Very often in my case, as I have a very high astigmatism in one eye, my prescription doesn't always seem to transfer from exam room to eyeglasses perfectly. In this case it did on both sets of glasses, very impressed and pleased. I'm seeing better than I have in quite awhile with the lenses from their lab, vision detail is excellent. They are well worth the drive down from Monroe. I will definitely be using Paul and Seattle Eye for all my eye care needs in the future.“

“I would absolutely recommend this clinic for vision exams and contact lens fitting. Dr. Hovander and Richard are really nice. They explain everything and have always made me feel comfortable. Dr. Hovander goes above and beyond; I had a question and he told me he would do some research, and then he followed up with a detailed voicemail a few days later.Unfortunately, I will probably find a different LDO next time I want to buy new glasses. I felt talked down to by Paul. He also made me feel defensive about having bought inexpensive glasses in the past and not wanting to spend hundreds on new glasses during my most recent visit. He could make patients more comfortable by expressing empathy for the cost of vision care. He is at least kind of funny.“
