“I asked the community where to find Asian fit frames, and many of them recommended this place. Today, I visited and received assistance from John in finding the perfect frame. He brought out various pairs for me to try without pressuring me to make a purchase. John provided candid opinions on which frames looked and worked best for me. Surprisingly, my prescription glasses were made and ready in just an hour since my prescription wasn't too strong. John made several adjustments to ensure a perfect fit. He also shared a lot of knowledge about eyewear, including how to read frame numbers. He even offered to order frames not carried in-store for me to try on for free, with no obligation to buy,if I see a pair I like online and it is one of the brand they carry. Additionally, they provide military discounts. The lenses are awesome and haven't smudged since I started wearing them a few hours ago. This is unlike my previous lenses that bothered me and made me abandon glasses for a long time. The price of the lenses is also very fair for such amazing quality. I highly recommend this place and totally understand why the community spoke so highly of this place.I didn't have the opportunity to work with Paul today, but I noticed that he was delivering excellent service to other customers as well.“

“I lost a screw in my glasses and they fixed it free of charge! I'd gone to another place and they just put a piece of metal in there, that eventually fell out. They also tightened the other screws and replaced the pads. So cool and such a great help, would highly recommend.“

“Kay was fantastic! She took the time to pull lots of great options for me, though I just loved the very first pair of frames she offered. At pick up - exactly a week from my first visit, just as she estimated - she once again sat down and made sure I was happy with the glasses, that they were adjusted so they won't slip, and even swapped the huge case the pair came in for one that was much more manageable in size. I am impressed with how little glare there is at night when I am driving, and both the transition and progressive features work seamlessly. The only downside was that K's Optical is out of network with my insurance. Here, again, the customer service was above-and-beyond. Kay filled out the claim form I brought (for out-of-network claims, just downloaded from my insurance's online portal), made a copy of the receipt, and put both in an addressed, stamped envelope that I was able to mail on my way out of the building! I am very happy with the look, feel, and function of this prescription eyeglass pair - more than a week in and they are fantastic, just like Kay was.“
“Scheduling: My first interaction was a hot mess tbh. It was about scheduling a new patient visit over the phone, and it was with a person that seemed quite flustered. They never sent over an email confirmation (they said they would) after we'd scheduled an appointment over the phone. With no confirmation email, I thought I had not been scheduled. I then made two online appointments, ended up cancelling the one that didn't work with my schedule. Thats when he proceeded to reach out for a call back (voicemail & email). Essentially, I got on the phone for him to tell me that I was in the wrong. Apparently, if you make an over the phone appointment, they don't send an email confirmation. SIGH. Whatever. Dr. Appt: Once I got in for my appointment, it was smooth sailing. Met with Dr. Amaraweera who was super thorough and took her time to ensure my prescription was accurate. She helped me find a contact lens that works with my astigmatism, and her recommendation was spot on. First time ever that a contact lens fit like a glove and my vision was crystal clear with contacts! That's saying something for people who deal with astigmatism and contact lenses. Glasses Sales Rep: I feel bad for not remembering this person's name. They helped me pick out glasses, and they were fantastic. Young white brunette with a cool facial piercing, loved them! We had over a dozen glasses strewn all over the table and had fun finding two that worked really well for my low nose bridge. They also helped me fit two old prescription sunglasses and glasses with my new prescription. They broke down all the costs and how to best use my insurance to cover the most expensive glasses. Patient Portal Rx Follow Up: It's been over a week since my appointment, and I thought I'd be able to easily access my prescriptions for both contacts and glasses online (as was advertised). There was nothing uploaded to my patient portal, no documents at all about my visit. I had to call the front desk and confirm my contacts were working for me. I didn't realize they needed verbal confirmation after the appointment was over. I've never had to confirm my contact Rx after I've left the clinic, so that was new for me, but obviously my bad. They did finally upload my glasses prescription after my request. Small victories. Overall: I think the clinic is worth the visit. Just be prepared for regular human shenanigans. I don't know if all front desk staff are given a training on passive aggressive "bless your heart" kind of attitude, but it is rare to walk into any clinic and be treated like an adult instead of a toddler who's name you just can't pronounce. Dr. Amaraweera was wonderful and so was the glasses sales rep I worked with. WOULD RECOMMEND!“
“I had a fantastic experience at Eye Clinics of Seattle's Ballard location yesterday. The front desk staff was great, both on the phone and in person. Dr. Michalko was wonderful. I really appreciated her patience in reviewing my history, getting my prescription correct and educating me on the causes of dry eyes as well as holistic approaches to improving the condition instead of just tossing me samples of chemical-laden eye drops to mask the symptoms. Morgan the optician was fantastic -- very knowledgeable about the different kinds of prescription lenses as well as what my insurance covered. This practice is a huge relief after the frustrating and stressful experiences I had at the other optical place on Market Street last year. (They're trying to do their best over there but the owner/manager does NOT support them in their efforts and the staff turnover reflects it.) If you live in Ballard and are looking for an optometrist, look no further!“
“I was in my appointment in time, process was easy and quick. The doctor was friendly and definitely knowledgeable. I typically don't like franchise as they typically have the worse tech ever or their tech is broken and takes too long to fix them. It's not the case in this location. Side note this location is lens Crafters franchise but it's run by Dr. Kathryn and she was absolutely the best!Recommended“
“I was a customer when I lived in the area, but moved some time ago. I would have remained with them had I not moved. Their service was exemplary. What motivated me at this point to give them a review is the way they handled a credit that I had on my account of which I was unaware. They contacted me recently and mailed me a check for the credit. I was very impressed with their integrity in handling this.“
“It was a Christmas Miracle! We were visiting from Digby, Nova Scotia and when my husband accidentally stepped on my glasses, destroying the frame and arm, days before Christmas. We thought we were doomed but decided to go to the nearest eyeglass business to see if anything could be done. The friendliest woman, who was working on her own that day, quickly assessed the situation and told us to have a seat. She miraculously fixed the frame and arm, popped the lens back in, and had us on our way within 10 minutes. Crisis averted! And the added bonus - she refused to take a dime! Be sure to treasure this woman and this business Edmonds! (While we waited, I noticed an awesome array of stylish frames to suit everyone’s taste.)“

“My previous optometrist closed their office, so I had to find a new vision center. I had my first appointment at Binyon Oak Tree yesterday and it was a pleasurable visit. Dr. Wong was very warm and friendly to converse with. She was thorough with running tests, explained results in a clear manner and answered any questions I had.The office is located in a strip mall, and the waiting area isn't anything glamorous, but don't let that sway you away from scheduling an appointment here. Their selection of frames is somewhat small, so I'll be looking elsewhere, but I also didn't feel pressured. They're also still prioritizing hygienic Covid practices. They sanitize the frames after each person tries them on, and require that you wear a mask. I'm happy that I found a new optometrist that I'll gladly return to each year.“
“Not only is it amazing to get my glasses crafted same day, but when I broke a screw about 6 months later and I needed a repair. Chris was quick to repair and get my glasses back in shape quickly. He even cleaned them :) I appreciated how promptly and no questions asked he provided me help. This store has a lot of great options and it's always fun to poke around and see all the unique styles they have. Would absolutely recommend!“

Previous eye doctors I have seen generally like to make small talk and blaze through the exam- which is not ideal for something so important. He took his time and really made sure my eye health is good. All receptionists I saw were also very professional.“

They have been so understanding and committed to getting me a pair of glasses that is perfect! I have never had this level of customer service, expertise and willingness to work with me until the glasses are a perfect. (Sarah is so knowledgeable and terrific to work with!)
