My back would be incredibly sore sitting or making quick movements, my knees made stairs difficult, and I had burning sensations in both of my feet. I tried lots of different treatments including acupuncture, chiropractic, supplements, and gabapentin. After two treatments at Olympic, I noticed improvement. Now, I’m living with far less pain in my back, knees, and feet! I can sit and bend without giving it a second thought, I can run up and downstairs, and move much more freely playing sports. I’m moving so much better on the basketball court that I must rethink how I play. I can do moves now that I used to do but had to give up. It’s fun to see my progress. “My mom and I were in a car accident and started at RET. I was having sciatic pain in both legs. I would get pain while driving and while sitting at my computer. Michael Chen, my therapist, challenged me and really listened to how I was feeling and tailored workouts for my personal needs. He made me laugh and we talked about things going on, while keeping me focused and pushing me.

Mom and I both started looking forward to our appts and catching up with people. From the front desk gals to all the therapists and assistants, everyone was helpful and you got to know them as people, not just another dr appt. I actually wanted to keep going for the social interaction as I work from home, but Michael had fixed me up to where I had no pain and really didn't have a need to go. Mom and I have both graduated. In fact, we made an 8 day road trip to Texas and I didn't have any pain!

I also want to do a shout out to Erin and Roland, they would work with me until my time with Michael, I really enjoyed getting to know them and we would chat and laugh. It's such a friendly atmosphere and everyone is real and they truly care how you are feeling.

“Our daughter has a genetic disorder that affects her gross motor skills. When we started with her therapist, Becky at First Steps our daughter was 15 months old and was just starting to scoot and was unable to climb up a surface level change of even a few inches. Within weeks of our first appointment she began to slowly attempt climbing on different levels and over a few months gained enough strength to stand on her own. We eventually added in aquatic therapy sessions with Kristin, which were equally amazing. By 21 months old she took her first steps and is now running around chasing her older sister. We didn’t think she would be anywhere near walking by 2 and she hasn’t even had her second birthday yet l. We are in awe of her fast progress and are forever grateful for Becky and Kristen and the entire first steps team for the time they took with our daughter to get to know her and her needs and how they encouraged her and us along the way.
