I was really nervous to try one b/c I have lots of issues—a knee implant, a torn meniscus, and a torn rotator cuff, plus my age. But Berhani Mehari, the owner & trainer, was just a marvel! He definitely pushed me hard and I was so happy with my increased fitness level, especially my strength. Yet, at the same time he was very conscientious in working around my joint problems and always listened to what I told him was going on with my body in the moment. He really knows his stuff; I always felt that I was in safe hands. I just can’t recommend him enough.“

I work long hours, and it's nice not to have to rush to a class or gym. I can even have dinner cooking at the same time as my training session! “Igor is an amazing personal trainer! I’ve been training with him for almost 5 years and he still surprises us with his variety of exercises-you don’t get bored. He is able to modify all exercises to individual needs and he’s great with helping you recover if you’ve had an injury or surgery.He also works out with you-he’s not one to stand around just counting for you. Igor also gives you workout plans while you’re traveling and will Zoom sessions too. His prices are so reasonable given the amount of training and talent he brings. And, he’s just one of the nicest people you’ll meet. My strength, stamina and balance are better than some of the younger clients and that’s thanks to Igor. I ran my first Army 10 Miler and also finished the Stadium Spartan race!“

1701 Duke St #160, Alexandria“Was recommended this studio by a friend who lives locally and dropped into MVMNT for a quick early morning class while in town. We stayed in Downtown Alexandria and the gym was around 15 mins away (walking). Such a great cute little women's studio. We did the Bosu class and it kicked our butts. The instructor made sure we had the right form and led a fast paced high intensity class. Would definitely recommend! Please note - there's only one bathroom for the studio which includes a shower.“

“I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with HBR Personal Training. As someone with a long history of orthopedic injuries and surgeries, I have worked with many physical therapists and trainers over the years. Never have I experienced one as in-tune with body mechanics and kinesiology in my life. I feel stronger and less injury-prone after 5 months of training with Brad. And when/if I come in with pain, he is able to adjust our training session on the fly to address any concerns--and most of the time the issue has resolved by the time I leave. I may have used the word "magician" when describing Brad to family and friends more than a few times. If you are looking for a highly personalized experience for increased strength, function, and injury prevention, your search is over.“
