I have had a membership exclusive to this gym for 7 weeks now. This past Sunday on 02/26/23 I showed up at this gym at 08:45 AM to find the doors lock, dark inside and closed. There was no note in the door or anything indicating what was going on. This gym is supposed to open at 7:00 AM. I saw another customer waiting out side in their car and they told me it was not the first time they had experienced this there. I am very disappointed because I got ready and drove 8 miles to workout and could not even get inside the door. This is very unprofessional and not fair to people like me who bought a membership only to this gym so we cannot simply just go to another location. In my opinion this is bad management and the members of this gym deserve better reliability then this. We pay for this service and I am very disappointed. I will also be contacting the corporate office about this.
About Planet Fitness
Planet Fitness is a fitness center that aims to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for its members. With over 2,400 locations, the franchise is known for its "Big Fitness Energy™," which helps members maintain a positive, energetic mindset throughout the day.
Customers have praised the Sacramento Center location for its cleanliness, well-maintained equipment, and helpful staff. The gym supplies paper towels and disinfectant, and members appreciate that these products are used by gym participants. While many enjoy the open space and find the staff to be friendly and attentive, some have mentioned that the gym's closing hours, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, can be limiting. The gym closes at 9 PM on Fridays and 7 PM on both Saturdays and Sundays, which can be inconvenient for those looking to work out later.
Overall, Planet Fitness strives to create a comfortable and accessible fitness experience for its diverse community of members, though some have raised concerns about chemical usage for cleaning, suggesting it may be overwhelming during peak hours.
Reviews
The cleanliness and quick repair of equipment; friendliness and professionalism of the staff; the Very competitive pricing; and the perks (Awesome and useful ones!)! SOOOO MUCH better than LA Fitness!!!! The manager at a LA Fitness once told me I might not be their type of client when I dared to ask him when the THREE toilets in the women’s restroom would be fixed (after almost two weeks down!). Lee Rec Center has a lot to offer, but the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired- making Planet Fitness again tops! I also like how PF is in So Many locations! I went to one in Springfield, Missouri, and was treated just the same as if I were at my home gym! Perfectly lovely!
I'm gonna be honest with you. I like going here. The only one problem that I had was it was a young white girl, and I explained to her that my power was off, and can she charge my battery pack behind the counter? She told me no I asked for a manager, she said, no manager's here. So when the black guy came over there, I asked him, he did immediately. I don't know what that was about, but I just came for the workout. Other than that, the workout was good. The encounter it kind of made me feel some kind of way because I told her what I was actually going through. And I understand but she was like, you could leave it out here. But if someone takes it, we can't do nothing… read full review
