“I initially chose Maichle’s because I wanted a second opinion on a certain heavily advertised HVAC firm's diagnosis of a cracked heat exchanger in my downstairs gas furnace. Maichle’s guy ran the same test with a live camera, confirmed that there wasn't a crack and double-checked the result by doing a CO test on the system. With that sense of trust established, I hired them to replace the upstairs system as the second condenser out back had indeed died. We compared the options and went with Mitsubishi mini-splits. It was a difficult installation; our home was built in 1860 and the walls are THICK. Plus, they had to deal with our Historic Area Commission on placement of runs and condensers.
