“While visiting NYC from Australia, I had symptoms of a detached retina and a Saturday afternoon. I had no idea where to go and reached out to Eye Q on W79th as they were nearby. Despite being fully booked, based on my symptoms, squeezed me in right away. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and the optometrist was amazing. Thorough, knowledgeable and was able to diagnose that what I had was not an immediate issue and gave me confidence to fly back to Oz without worrying (on the plane now). Done in less than 2 hours. “New review: The owner reached out to me to explain the situation which was a systems glitch. I will be taking my business elsewhere but felt adequately serviced despite the issue. This place is a small owned business so don’t want to be overly critical.

Original review: I scheduled an annual vision exam at Heights Vision. I sent an email to confirm my appointment and was notified last minute (less than a week before my appointment) that my appointment was cancelled without an explanation or offering alternatives times. The email was sent outside of business hours.

The practice cc’d me and three other patients on the same email to confirm appointment times which felt very unprofessional.“
