“Awesome space, workout, staff and vibe. I'm new to CrossFit but have been an athlete all my life. I was reluctant about the stereotype of CF -- extremely heavy weights and hardcore but United takes a sensible approach meeting you where you are. I will be back!“

The Center: Natural Health Specialists Yoga

“I have been dealing with ongoing health issues, for which my general practitioner and other medical specialists have provided little help beyond what is covered by my insurance. Typically, the solution has been to prescribe medication, often with side effects that are worse than the original issues. After making no progress in solving these problems or identifying their causes, I decided to explore a holistic, functional medicine approach. An acquaintance referred me to The Center: Natural Health Specialists, specifically Quinn Takei, DOM, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. The Center's holistic approach to healing is a great alternative to traditional medicine, blending ancient wisdom with modern science to create a deeply personalized experience.

As someone who struggles with psoriasis, allergies, and digestive issues, I have tried countless treatments over the years with varying degrees of success. However, Quinn took the time to understand the root causes of my conditions rather than just managing symptoms. Through acupuncture, food sensitivity testing, and advanced blood work, he developed a comprehensive plan that has made a noticeable difference in my health.

The acupuncture sessions have been effective, reducing inflammation, easing discomfort, and promoting relaxation. The food sensitivity tests provided invaluable insights into how my body responds to various foods, enabling me to make dietary adjustments that have drastically improved my digestion and reduced flare-ups. The advanced blood tests went beyond standard panels, revealing underlying imbalances and allowing for a precisely tailored treatment plan.

Thanks to Quinn's expertise and compassionate approach, I feel more balanced and healthier than I have in years. The Center's dedication to uncovering the root causes of illness and providing holistic, science-backed solutions truly sets them apart. If you're looking for a practitioner who combines time-tested techniques with cutting-edge diagnostics, I wholeheartedly recommend The Center: Natural Health Specialists and Quinn Takei.“

“The 45-minute hot yoga class is my go-to, and it's the perfect break during the workday. Emily is my favorite instructor, as her sequence is constantly evolving and challenging my body. My only complaint is how crowded the classes are in January & February, though I've had a wonderful experience in their studio. I love the convenience within North Hills too!“

flowCORPS (DTR Location) Yoga

“This was my first Pilates class, and I was a little nervous walking in, thinking I might be lost. I came in early, and the instructor was absolutely amazing — she took the time to educate me on the equipment, explained some exercise, and even demonstrated the more challenging moves so I felt confident before we started.

During class, she gave clear verbal cues, demonstrated everything, and made sure to check in and stay nearby when things got more challenging. I felt so comfortable and supported the entire time, and it ended up being a fantastic workout! I left feeling stronger, confident, and excited to come back.

Highly recommend this class — especially if you’re new to Pilates!“

“I recently had the pleasure of attending a yoga class at this modern and trendy studio, and it was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I walked in, the warmth and friendliness of every staff member were palpable. It wasn't just the staff, though; the members themselves exuded a sense of community and welcome that made me feel right at home. The class itself was a unique experience. The flow of the session was unlike any other I've attended, seamlessly blending traditional poses with innovative techniques. This approach not only challenged me but also allowed me to release tension in ways I hadn't experienced before. It was as if every movement was thoughtfully designed to unlock a new level of relaxation and mindfulness.A special shoutout must be given to their incredible sound system. The music during the class was not just background noise; it was an integral part of the experience. The playlist was perfectly curated, enhancing each pose and transition, uplifting the spirit, and deepening the practice. 10/10 recommend!!“

“Liz has been my masseuse since fall of last year, and not only is she wonderfully kind and fun to chat with, I’m also pretty sure she’s a miracle worker. I came to her with a very messed up neck (an ongoing issue), and since seeing her regularly I have slept SO much better and feel so much more limber. I no longer wake up with regular neck pain or have issues turning my head! I highly recommend signing up for the regular peace street wellness plan with her, as it’s such a great value and the massages are not only very helpful but incredibly relaxing. Can’t recommend this spot enough!“

Yoga Inspired Yoga

“I absolutely love Yoga Inspired and am so glad I finally gave this little studio a try! Over the last month, I've attended classes led by a number of teachers and they have all been wonderful. Here's what I love about this studio:- Classes leave me energized, not depleted. I typically log around 350 active calories burned in a one hour flow class. At some of the hot yoga studios in the area I would burn about the same amount of calories but leave classes feeling physically depleted. After classes at YI I feel like I have more energy - my body and mind both feel great.- Classes are not repetitive; flows feel like a dance. Not only is there good variation from class to class and instructor to instructor, but within an individual class I don't feel exhausted or bored by repetition. The flows feel organic, to the point I often find myself naturally going to the next step before the instructor even cues it.- Friendly, welcoming instructors AND patrons. This is the friendliest studio I've been to in the area, and not only because of the welcoming instructor but also the patrons. It is a much more diverse group in terms of age than most studios. People chat with newcomers, and it doesn't feel cliquey like many other studios.- The space is clean and calm. I like that most of the classes are taught with dimmed lights. It's super clean. Bathrooms are stocked with thoughtful extras you may need.- It's a genuine yoga experience. A lot of studios are really some kind of yoga fusion (think yoga + pilates or yoga + bootcamp style workout) - that's totally fine but if you're looking for a more pure yoga experience, meaning an experience for the mind AND body - this is your place.- Offers interesting weekend "workshops" and experiences, many centered on a more spiritual experience. Yoga Inspired has some kind of "special" every weekend. It's an amazing way to meet other people and expand your practice. I haven't gone to many of these but look forward to trying some in the future.- Did I mention that it's next door to Sola coffee? Also a plus :)“

“I've been at Raleigh Yoga Center off and on for about 15 years. I began attending because I was working toward a certification program to teach children's yoga, and the program required some basic Iyengar training and knowledge. The teachers are fantastic, top notch. You will find few other yoga practitioners in the area who have such extensive knowledge of anatomy and the science of yoga. I enjoy classes with Jane and Kirsten. Details to enter poses correctly are emphasized. You will know what you are doing, why you are doing it, and how it will help you. Of course modifications are available and encouraged, as yoga should always offer. Yoga truly is for everyone.“

“I booked my first session with Kimberly. I had heard good things about doing hot yoga. I've been doing yoga on and off for about 2 years. The studio was very comfortable, well, except that it was HOT . The energy in the room was very good. There were several other men in the studio, and everyone was very respectful of the space. The practice was very effective and brought me to a good place mentally and physically. They facility is impeccably clean and well managed. They have locker rooms and showers that were a nice amenity for cleaning up after your practice. They have several options and price packages. I will definitely be returning.“
