Yoga in Chapel Hill

Yoga in Chapel Hill picked by BestProsInTown

“I’m new from out of state. I’ve been going to the Chapel Hill studio since January. Though I haven’t tried all the yoga studios in the area, I have tried a handful. This studio first attracted me with their flexible scheduling (you can schedule last minute) and cancellation policy (no fine or fee). I work in healthcare and am often on call and would get burned by having to cancel at other places because of work. FBY is also more affordable than other nearby studios too. Their class times and their schedule are perfect for me. When it comes to their classes, Heather’s classes are the best (and also the hardest!). No fear though, not every class is hard. Even the most difficult classes offer modifications for all skill levels. I also LOVE Kelsey’s mobility classes. They blow my mind. I burn so many calories and have a great sore the next day. I’ve enjoyed learning new poses, challenging myself, and having fun at Feel Better Yoga.“

“Paul is the best yoga teacher I've ever had. His technical knowledge of yoga is unmatched, and he will help you build confidence in your own practice. Take advantage of Thousand Petals Yoga if you are in Chapel Hill -- I didn't realize how lucky I was until I moved away. Also, I leave out Sommer only because I haven't practiced with her, but I imagine she's just as good (or better).“

“The vibes are immaculate at Progression climbing gym!! This place is cozy af and a great place to climb with friends. The staff is super friendly and have great taste in music - I'm always finding something new to listen to. There's so much variety in the routes they set. Beginners will be able to do a few routes and get a decent way through others in one session. In general, their bouldering problems are super creative and push you to hone technique in addition to strength. The community is super supportive and it's an awesome place to become a better climber. They also have a small weights room I've found super useful and I also love that there are some very cute pups that frequent the gym!!“

“I have been taking classes at Franklin Street Yoga for about a year now. I found the studio right after I moved here and it quickly became my favorite thing about Chapel Hill. All of the instructors are wonderful. There are a wide variety of classes so there is surely something for everyone. I highly recommend this studio to any and all yoga students!“

“Finally a workout that does not feel like punishment and that I actually enjoy. Calm atmosphere, first rate equipment, good hours. Instructors have different personalities-- some chatty, some fully focused on the workout-- but all are at least competent and at best superb.“

“This place is for someone who is serious about their health and fitness. These classes will reveal just how in shape or not in shape you really are. I go to the gym on a regular basis weekly. It was shocking to see how weak my muscles were when performing the different yoga movements. I have a lot of work to do in order to keep my body fully functional. This is the perfect place for that.“
