“Our 17-year old furnace stopped working in late December. I tried fixing it myself through YouTube and HVAC forum research, to no avail. After buying and replacing a part, I finally broke down and called in reinforcement.Tom Schneider has entered the chat.I called him around 6:30 pm on a weeknight, and he was over to our home in Eden Prairie within 25 minutes. After 45 minutes of diagnostics, he had fixed our furnace.A few things I appreciated about Tom:1) He has a wealth of experience (35 years) working on heating and air.2) He is local and self-employed, not part of some big national operation. When I called his numer, he picked up (not some dispatcher from a remote location).3) He is honest and transparent. He did not even remotely hint or suggest that I should replace our furnace, which he could easily have done in light of its age.4) He talked me through what he was working on and what his solution was.
