“Company was very responsive, and techs were professional. During the initial visit they assesed all my vents and provided what i considered a reasonable and honest plan and estimate. On day of service team was on time and professional. They took care not to damage anything, cleaned as they went, and ensured all was in order when they left. They updated me on any cost adjustments prior to initiating any phase of work based on more detailed assessment. Highly recommend for air and dryer vent cleaning. “A few weeks ago, I woke up to find my air conditioner blowing warm air. I suspected the issue was a failed capacitor in the outdoor unit, but I wanted a professional to confirm the diagnosis before replacing anything.

I'd had concerns about the pricing of the large HVAC/plumbing company I'd used in the past, so I decided to try AVS instead, since they appeared to be a smaller, family-owned business.
The technician, Bob, was excellent. He quickly confirmed that the capacitor had failed and replaced it . He was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient.

I'm giving four stars instead of five because of the pricing. Bob had to call the office to get the price for the part, and after (I assume) looking up my ZIP code, they quoted $429 for the service. Considering the replacement capacitor itself costs around $30 and the repair took about 15 minutes, the total felt excessive.

Overall, Bob earned five stars, but the pricing left a sour taste. Ironically, I suspect I wouldn't have paid any more with the larger company I was trying to avoid. Not sure I'll be back.“
