a pair of frames for an updated prescription and was looking around her new community to find an optician, we stumbled upon the enthusiastic reviews for this unpretentious, longtime family owned alternative to the typical retail chains. As other reviews have mentioned, the staff at B&M could not be nicer including Debbie who has worked there for decades, and the prices are very reasonable without anyone trying to upsell the priciest frames or things you don’t need, while still having a great selection… happy to replace your lenses if you still like your old frames, and fix and do things chains often can’t or won’t. Their professionalism and experience is a throwback to “old times”, and while their decor is also, it lends its own charm as does the location right on the side of a strip mall with very convenient parking. We found the perfect pair of frames for my mom and are delighted to have discovered this independent little gem… no wonder they’ve been in business for so long! Highly recommended.“

“My ophthalmologist (Dr. Baum) of the last decade or so retired in 2022. He even took some leave during the height of COVID so I saw Dr. Gabry. Now for the past two years I have been seeing Dr Gupta. All three doctors are gems. I've never had a problem, making an appointment or any problems with the receptionist. I have found that making an appointment at 8:30 in the morning is the key to getting in and out quickly. They really do a thorough job with all the routine checks for a standard eye exam. My mom has glaucoma, so it's important for me to keep a check on my eye health. I've got that covered here for a small copay with my insurance.“

“I had an amazing experience during my visit with Dr. Ozcan, and I highly recommend him to anyone in need of a new ophthalmologist. However, this is typical in any medical office, and the attentive care from the staff makes it worthwhile. They ensure you leave with all your concerns addressed. Dr. Dunn is very clearly excited about his job and explains everything he’s doing and the context behind it (which I really appreciated). He’s super knowledgeable and this will make you feel at ease. I called before my appointment to see if they took my insurance - they did - which was a huge relief since other places in DC didn’t. I made my appt two days in advance but there were some even sooner! Highly recommend Dr. Dunn!I did have a slightly strange experience before I saw Dr. Dunn when sharing I didn’t have any family medical history since I was adopted. (I totally understand that some people don’t know how to react to that, I just haven’t experienced that at a medical type appointment before) Hopefully my response provided some good awareness for how not to react next time - and that being adopted isn’t always sad - and will be great to keep in mind for the next appointment when someone may have a similar background! All in all, a great experience.“
