This office has seen alot of change over the years. Currently they are below par. We ordered glasses for my daughter at college. They were shipped to her at college and she received glasses that had not seen the finishing step of the process - the glass edges of the lenses had not been ground to smoothness, and were very sharp. She called iCare and they said to ship them back or find a local place to do it. They did not apologize. They did not offer free return shipping. They did not offer to cover the cost of having them finished at a store near her. Very sloppy work, and lack of apology implied that they were used to what happened. They have a business partner failed in their quality control, and the office in Cloverly failed to check that the order had been completed properly before sending them on. Unprofessional all around.“

One thing that could be improved to increase the value of services to patients is to try reducing the wait time before seen by the doctor; however, since this was my first visit I am not sure of the instances/likelihood of the wait time at this time and going into the future. a pair of frames for an updated prescription and was looking around her new community to find an optician, we stumbled upon the enthusiastic reviews for this unpretentious, longtime family owned alternative to the typical retail chains. As other reviews have mentioned, the staff at B&M could not be nicer including Debbie who has worked there for decades, and the prices are very reasonable without anyone trying to upsell the priciest frames or things you don’t need, while still having a great selection… happy to replace your lenses if you still like your old frames, and fix and do things chains often can’t or won’t. Their professionalism and experience is a throwback to “old times”, and while their decor is also, it lends its own charm as does the location right on the side of a strip mall with very convenient parking. We found the perfect pair of frames for my mom and are delighted to have discovered this independent little gem… no wonder they’ve been in business for so long! Highly recommended.“

“I wasn't sure what to expect from Target for eye care. I've been wearing glasses my whole life and it seems that I often have issues with lenses being right in recent years. “The actual surgery was extremely well organized and everyone was professional, helpful & friendly.

If you are thinking about the LAL option, it is a pretty big time commitment and $$$$ although I am happy with the results. I had one eye done and it required 5 office visits: 1 post-op, 1 adjustment, 2 visits to lock-in the final focus and a last visit to get a final eyeglass prescription. Also, the procedure for adjusting the lens and locking it in is a little disturbing and I did it 3 times. They put a lens with gel on it directly on your eyeball, strap your head so you can’t move and flash an extremely bright light in your eyeball for 2 minutes. It’s definitely freaky and I’m pretty chill about medical procedures.

As I said, I am happy with the results but it did take 9 weeks from start to finish to get new glasses. Also, you need to wear the UV glasses all the time, so the LAL is a commitment.“
