“John is very thorough and thoughtful. He helped us find and understand a mysterious slow leak. Once he located it, he drove to the local hardware store to grab tub and tile silicone to fix it. Our project was large enough that we split it into two, with about a six month gap in between. We absolutely would use them again. Things they were able to recommend along the way that made the project such a success: recognizing that if the duct work was re-routed, we could increase the ceiling height in the kitchen by nearly a foot; feathering out a wall to allow the HVAC ducts to run in a location that improved flow and layout in one of the bathrooms; built-in layout; structural repair recommendations allowing the porches to be more stable; insulation recommendations and installation additions which have made a world of difference in this old house.

“We were referred to Roger & Sons by a neighbor who has also had great experiences with them for multiple well jobs. We recently purchased a home in Charles County, MD and quickly found our existing well pump was tired. After being quoted by two other companies, we were happy to have found Scott. I called on January 29th and by February 3rd the job was complete. Scott was prompt, professional, transparent, and fair. He physically came out to assess our needs and got back to us within a day with a quote for the work. He diagnosed and explained our needs without upselling us and cross-checked all the information we gave him with the county. Scott was able to talk us through the health of our well overall, and why we were experiencing water pressure and tank pressurizing issues. One company had quoted us blind based on what we already had (a 3/4 HP pump), and another quoted us $7,000+ MORE than Scott did, packed with upsells and unnecessary improvements / replacements for other components of our system and also sticking with a 3/4 HP pump. Scott recognized we probably needed to upgrade to a 1 HP pump due to the way our well was settling and that we didn't need to do much of what competitors were recommending just yet (e.g., we still have years of use left on our tank, we didn't need filtering upgrades based on our water quality, etc.). After all, we were doing this preventatively - knowing our pump was end of life but not having any other noticeable issues with other things such as the well tank, gages, valves, breakers, etc. I was impressed by Scott's attention to detail and willingness to do the job right. For example, in order to lengthen the piping in our well, he preferred to replace the whole segment with a new, seamless piece rather than weld an extension onto the existing pipe (which would have less structural integrity). On install day, he told me he thought he may have misplaced a screw and would come back the next day to install one. I told him I probably had one on hand, and he insisted that he'd come back because they use only stainless steel products for these applications (right answer). Turns out he didn't misplace the screw at all, but I would have been none the wiser and he was upfront regardless. I appreciated that. We've seen a tremendous improvement in our water pressure and our new pump does indeed keep up much better with demand. Scott warrantees his parts / work, and is approachable and responsive with any questions or concerns; he communicates well and lets you know what to expect. I highly recommend Roger & Sons, especially Scott and his folks.“

While needing a plumber is seldom a positive experience, from the first call you can expect professionalism and courtesy (whether you choose to work with him or not). On all calls he has shown a high work ethic, thoughtfulness in his work, and appreciation for his customers. “To date, I have never been more pleased or satisfied with any tradesperson who worked in my home. I had a slight leak in my shower fitting which could not be rectified when we tried to tighten it up, so we opted for the safe option of turning the water off and calling in a professional. A friend recommended Dan to me; her comment was, “If you can get him - he’s brilliant!” (My friend is one of nature’s more pedantic individuals and if Dan pleased her, he could please anyone!) Because it was urgent, Dan fitted in the time to visit the following day to assess the scenario and ensure we were left with water until the job was completed! It transpired that the fitting had not been correctly installed in the first place and Dan was surprised that it had lasted as long as it did! Dan and his colleague, Mitch, took their time, thoroughly investigated and advised us of the best course of action. Unfortunately, they had to remove a tile to gain access to the pipework but they proceeded to adjust the fittings, cap off the pipes and leave everything completely secure whilst they went off to order and prepare what they needed to fit a shower panel and reconnect the shower. They would have been more than happy to replace tiles if I had wanted that, but I prefer to have a panel - so that the plumbing can be easily accessed, should that ever be necessary in the future. They guys are very quick and efficient. They arrived early the following day, measured and adjusted the panel and left us with a functional shower - as good as new. Their motto is, “Measure twice - fit ONCE.” I was very impressed with the way they work. They are quick, but don’t rush. Everything is measured carefully, to the millimetre and consequently, the end result is very pleasing to the eye. In addition, Dan and Mitch are very friendly and amenable. It was actually a pleasure having them in my home. They do put their customers first and don’t leave until their clients are completely satisfied! In addition, the price was very reasonable indeed. In the past, I have paid equivalent or more - for a poorer quality of work. It goes without saying that Dan will now be my first port of call for any plumbing issues I may have in the future. I have no hesitation in recommending him as strongly as I can!“

“While G.A. Eberly did not necessarily do any substantial work on my home, I am giving them 5 stars for their customer service, promptness, knowledgeable staff, and fair prices. I had a tankless water heater go out in the coldest stretch of winter. My thermostat (we have radiator heating) was reading 41 degrees. When calling companies on 12/28, I was being told by many they couldn't see me until early January. G.A. Eberly took my call and checked with their maintenance team to see how they could fit me in on the same day. They had a lead technician (Steven) hop on the phone and get information about what I was experiencing, before finding a way to slot me in. Steven even called back about 30 minutes later to offer a quick fix solution to see if we could get our heat back on. Excellent service!Chris was the technician dispatched. He came on time and quickly diagnosed the issue. He was friendly, helped get a fix in place, and was out the door in no time. I was happy with the price paid for what essentially amounted to a service call, even though he helped fix my issue. Excellent experience working with them.
