I walked in yesterday (Tuesday) at 4PM wanting medium box braids. I recently did a big chop so my hair is super short. Not only did they blow dry me for free, they finished my hair in about 4 1/2 hours. I was even asked if I’d like my edges left out, never been asked that by a braider. I am highly satisfied and recommend everyone to try them out!

I booked a cleaning after hosting a party and the cleaners did such a great job. They handled the kitchen, bathrooms, and even the carpets. Super professional and trustworthy. I’ve come here multiple and the service is great! My hair comes out great everytime ! They also wash your hair for you and not a lot of people are doing that now! Also it’s a very fun vibe with all the other stylist in the salon and everyone is nice !!

Kayce is the best!! Every time I come in she sits down next to me and has a conversation with me about my hair and my goals and educates me on how we will get there. Kayce has kept my depth and dimension which I’m always so scared of losing. My hair never feels dry or damaged every time I leave so happy with healthy hair and a very natural looking blonde- the color and the blend! The grow out is always so seamless which is great, because low maintenance is key. The rest of the staff are just as friendly and welcoming and you can tell they all love their job and love each other. The salon is always so clean and calm and I always get offered a custom Barista Babs latte ❤️

I am new-ish to the area looking for a local barber who was experienced with Black hair, and I am so glad to have found a place that was good and is close to where I live! Jerry is a talented barber, friendly and not too talkative- perf. Did not hurry through my cut, you can tell he cares about his work. The shop is clean and air-conditioned. The cold seltzer was exactly what the doctor ordered. I got two compliments on my hair this afternoon, and I immediately sent them here. I will be returning!

I've been seeing Justin Simas every month for over 5 years, and it's safe to say I'd trust him with much more than my hair if it came down to it. He's able to meet you where you're at stylistically and conversationally; there's never a dull moment in his chair, as he's attentive and sensitive to the wants and needs of his diverse clientele. Not to mention prompt and conscientious of your time. I'm moving out of town and am already looking forward to getting a cut from Justin next time I'm back to visit.

Tony represents the finest of old South Boston, a true gentleman. I still recall the 60s-70s when getting a "regular men's haircut" or trim at Tony's, he always had a stack of comic books for kids to read. Tony would always share his lunch with the local homeless, inviting them into the barbershop to eat at the round wooden table. Or seeing Tony volunteering/participating in community events.

Best spray tan I’ve ever had. By suggestion of the tan tech I added the vital drops since I was going on vacation to a hot climate (sweating!) & I do think they have made a difference in how the tan has lasted. I’m on day 3 now & it’s holding up great with no patchiness and fading very evenly
I recently visited a Palm Beach Tan for the first time while at a conference in Boston. I was very impressed by the friendliness of their staff. The location was adorable. They have KBL beds that I love too. You tan the 1st time for free too!
I always get a classic pedicure. Which I love! The service is always top notch and the team at Beauty 101 is very friendly. I recently tried the Deluxe Pedicure and let me tell you, I am not going back. The Deluxe Pedicure was truly an experience. I've been going all the way to Newton for a pedicure, but no more. There is a gem right here in West Roxbury, called Salon V on Centre Street. The owner tends to your toes (or nails) to perfection, prices are very fair, ample street parking, and the salon is clean, clean, clean. I'll be a regular now.

The lady who did my nails Dianne is exceptional, very experience and funny, she keeps you entertained and comfortable. She helped me picked the right colour i envisioned without rushing me. I just got the cutest gummy-inspired summer nails and I’m obsessed! The colors are so fun and tropical—perfect for the season. The nail tech was super friendly and paid great attention to detail. Jill is a master esthetician and even better person. I have been seeing her regularly for 3 years - she’s taken care of me in preparation for my wedding as well as pre- and post-pregnancy. I look forward to every appointment. She does excellent facials and brow tints and knows so much about both skincare and caring for your skin. I love spending my whole appointment chatting away with Jill, but she also knows when you need a moment to relax while she gives you a killer neck massage. She’s also happy to help with recommendations but never pushes you to purchase products. I cannot recommend her enough!

I’ve come here for laser hair removal and for facials and I always go to see Moira! Hands down the best facials my skin always looks so good for weeks after! Moira always gives the best skincare advice on what products I should use. Laser is also super quick and minimal pain. If you want a relaxing facial or a targeted facial you can definitely get both here and always walk out glowing!!

Went to their location on Essex st that offers massages . I was warmly greeted by the a nice lady at the front desk . I was in so much back pain and I wanted some relief. She suggested deep tissue massage. Mary my therapist was great! She went hard on my back but she kept checking with me all the time to make sure I can handle the pressure. I was very stiff and I really appreciate her pressure as my back felt so good right immediately . You can ask for milder massage or let her do her job she is a professional. I feel so good and I already scheduled my next massage. Definitely a monthly type of thing for me now.

I’m really impressed with the quality and how long it lasted. It’s been over two months and I still feel like there’s a slight curl to my lashes. Also I loved that they asked for my preferences since I don’t like a lot of tint on my bottom lashes. The end result was exactly what I wanted and I’ll definitely be scheduling another appointment.

I want to say that I had an excellent experience, the place is beautiful, the attention is wonderful, and Savannah guided me through the process with so much patience.
I had gotten this eyebrow tattoo about six years ago at another place, and it was way too dark for my skin tone. I was very happy with the results from the very first session. Savannah recommended that at least two sessions would be needed to remove it completely, but I was already satisfied after the first one because my eyebrows lightened so nicely.
She also gave me clear aftercare instructions for the following days. Overall, I just want to say that this place is highly recommended, the service is excellent, and I am truly grateful for the care I received that day.
I have been going to Katrina for over six months now for brow shaping and tinting and have to say that she is the BEST I have found in many years of searching locally and nationally (I travel often)! I had been searching for someone who is a true professional brow artist and is consistent in their work. Someone who really knows how to enhance the shape of brows yet still make them look natural. my experience with the shop was great. I was greeted by the owner ram that was knowledgeable about tattoos and coverups took the time to explain what will and wont work .which ultimately made me come back to the shop after visiting other shops simply because they genuinely wanted to make sure i got what i wanted . I eventually decided to go with Roz who completed my cover-up which I love !!! ended up coming back to her for another tattoo that came out perfect . she was so gentle, calm very kind and great conversation! i would definitely recommend Roz as a tattoo artist as she listens to your wants takes the time to gather information and pictures and truely want your tatto desires to become reality!! i can tell she cares about the work she does so again thank you !!!!
I came in a few times in 2022 as a walk in and was lucky enough to be there when Sylar had availability. I didn’t have any plan but was drawn to a peacock from his flash collection. The other day a stranger asked me if she could write down the artists name and location and I realized how often I am asked about it. It’s become my favorite tattoo and I think it always will be. So much talent and they are so laid back/welcoming. 10/10 for me!

Irfan and team are exceptional at what they do. I had purchased my property and the inspector found a damaged water main in the basement which needed to be replaced immediately. They came and explained what the issue was and promptly took care of it at a reasonable price. I have used them again for many plumbing issues; replacing thermostats, water heaters, tune ups, repairs, as my property is over 125 years old. On one instance I was trying to find the best solution to redo my bathroom in a cost effective manner and they provided me a solution to do that, even if it meant no work for them. O.K. everyone, Are you looking for a plumber? Yeah? Look no further. I'm telling you the honest truth, you will not find anyone BETTER for the price because this is "The Guy". No, like I mean it. You know when you need something fixed, repaired etc. and you ask your friend for a recommendation and they say "I gotta guy"? Welp, now you're going to be giving everyone you know John's number because this is going to be "Your Guy". I initially found John on Yelp, go figure. I called him up because we were experiencing issues with our Navien CH-240 Combi-Boiler. So, being that I already called a sh*tload of other plumber's which either did not return my calls or bother to show up for our confirmed appointments, I was an emotional wreck. John picks up and listens to my desperate plea for help. So after listening to me John says "No problem buddy. I'll come by and look at it" and gives me a date. Now, John did have to reschedule which he promptly notified me of. Which was o.k. because this showed he cared enough to ensure that I wasn't just waiting in the wind. This is where he also get's 5 Stars for excellent communication. Alright moving on. John shows up On-Time for our rescheduled appointment and goes straight to inspecting the boiler. John discover's the problem (Cracked Heat Exchanger). John took care of everything from the Warranty with Navien to ensuring everything was good on my end in the house. After getting the warranty approval John scheduled the new boiler install the following week which by the way he showed up On-Time and as scheduled. During the install, I was downstairs bugging John about every plumbing related question imaginable. John answered everything politely and also gave me pointers on Navien boilers. Ok. here is where John takes the cake of being the best priced plumber hands down. After installing the boiler, John informed me of how to receive a Rebate from National Grid due to installing this boiler! Seriously, go look it up! I never knew! What a great guy. Trust me. You won't find a better plumber than John. If he has to reschedule, don't get upset. This guy is getting so much work and it's just him. He told me that due to a shortage of plumbers from young people not wanting to get into the trades, plumbers are in high demand. However, John doesn't price gouge like the rest of these companies. Don't look any further. Give John a call.

I called back Lower Allston Electric HQ, and they found someone else to do the work with a permit at the same cost. The guy working at Key Works was super friendly and carried the blank that I needed for the exterior keys that the other key insert duplication places such as Home Depot couldn’t do! If you are new to the area or just recently moved apartments, but the landlords are charging large fees, or won’t duplicate them at all, I’d go to this place immediately all over again, Especially for the price he does them at is relatively low.

Le is terrific - first used him a couple years ago when he had a small shop in Ashmont (now he just works mobile). Our condo mailboxes needed fixing - he gave a quote for a visit, but also said we could bring in mailbox unit to save $$ - I brought it in, new mailbox locks, new master PO lock - perfect!
Then this month we had an attempted break-in at our condo - luckily guy did not succeed. I called Le and he promptly came out to install latch guards, fix a faulty front door latch, and also fixed a sliding glass door lock. All done perfectly and efficiently, at a reasonable price, and gave us some other good tips/advice as well.

The hardwood floors are original and they’d already been sanded several times, so I thought they were beyond saving. Martin assured me there was still life left in them—and he was right. I had tenants in the home at the time, which made things tricky, but he worked in two phases to accommodate everyone.

NEDC completed remodeled our bathrooms about nine years ago, and they have held up great. But recently one of the rollers on the shower door broke. I contacted them just to see if they could identify the parts we neeeded and where to get them, but they went much further, finding the part and vendor in their records, working with the vendor to find a replacement, and had it sent to our house (at no cost). I was able to do the repair myself, but NEDC made it clear they would send someone to help if needed. It's a big relief to know that even after 10 years, as things age and wear out, we can go back to NEDC for help keeping things like new.

I own several triple deckers in the Boston area and have had BRC Renovations do a complete roof replacement on on about two years ago. The job was completed on time and at a very reasonable price and I've had no problems since. At the same time they rebuilt the chimney from the roof deck up. They removed all the debris and kept the area clean on a daily basis. I have had them do various repairs at another similar flat roof building as well and I will have them do a complete roof replacement on that building within the year.I can't emphasize how important it is to me that they are responsive to emergency requests for fast turn-around repairs as well as top quality workmanship.

Bite free for one week thanks to these people! We had come back from an European holiday and while there we had to change rooms and I thought I saw a bed bug early one morning. I didn't think much about it until coming home. After about a week, both my husband and I woke up with bites each morning. I called for a dog inspection with another company and they said I have bed bugs. They also said the bed bugs were ii a suitcase but given that the suitcase wasn't with us on our trip, I wasn't convinced. I called Mike and he was very nice. I didn't tell him we had another dog inspection and I wasn't home when their dog inspected our house but when I received a call from Mike that evening he said there was an alert on the red suitcase which was the suitcase that wasn't on the trip, and that the other dog had also selected. Mike arranged for a treatment and walked us through the heat treat procedure. Gregory, the team leader was amazing, explaining everything. When we got home, it felt bug free (I know that sounds crazy). Waking up knowing that I don't have something crawling on me at night is pure bless. I have TMJ due to a genetic condition called Ehlers Danlos syndrome and am a complex patient with a team of about 18 doctors. I went to Tufts due to pain, headaches, jaw locking and clicking in my jaw. Dr Lu reviewed ALL of my medical records BEFORE our initial appointment (which are extensive), listened to my concerns, was empathetic about solutions I had already tried and failed, and came up with a comprehensive, multifaceted approach to treatment. I can’t recommend Folan Dental enough—cleanings and thorough and I’ve never experienced any discomfort. I’ve had my cleanings done with a few of the hygienists here since becoming a patient and all have provided excellent patient care. Waiting area and exam rooms are cozy and clean, and they decorate year round according to seasons and holidays, which is a nice touch especially for those who may find themselves anxious at the dentist. Staff is always friendly, and Dr. Folan and Dr. Riordan are great!

I went in to see Dr. Morley with pain down my left leg that woke me up at night and would not allow me to get comfortable. I even had gone to an ER, where the doc told me it likely was just restless leg syndrome and take some Tylenol. Sure. That didn’t work. She probed and decided that some of the soft tissues were rather severely inflamed, then massaged, stretched, used some sort of electro-stimulator gizmo and gently manipulated. She then showed me hip stretches and an easy core strengthening exercise that even could be done in bed. All that gave some relief, stretching and ibuprofen that night helped reduce the pain more, and after 2 more days, the pain was gone and I could move more freely and without pain. Periodic “tune-ups” with her since then have kept the hip flexible and the pain away.
Dr. Thissell is a great chiropractor, a wealth of knowledge and always has his patients’ best interests in mind. Glad to have found him!

The absolute BEST treatment center I have ever been to. Excellent physical therapy and life-changing sports massages. I wish I had found out about this place years ago. I saw Dr. Kayla Serowik and Dr. Christine Frechette for physical therapy, and both of them were amazing. Not only did they show me the exercise to treat my issues, they also helped educate me on what I could do to prevent future injuries. On top of that, they were both incredibly patient and encouraging - therapeutic on multiple levels! I also get sports massages from Michelle Herrmann, and this has been a game changer. I have gone to a wide variety of skilled massage therapists (sports, deep tissue, Thai, etc.), and Michelle is the best, by far. Her massages are so healing and have helped my performance so much, as well as stave off potential injuries! Before going to Wellness in Motion, I really struggled to progress in any sport because I got injured so often. Now, with the amazing combination of physical therapy and sports massages, my body is healthier and stronger than it has been in over 20 years! Incredibly grateful for this place. Several of my friends have gone here as well, all with similar experiences. Most of them have gone to see Lauren Lozier, who is also amazing!
All chiropractors are not created equal. Doc was able to get me in last minute. After
60+ minutes as a new patient I walked out with my back pain gone, better mobility and a protocol to follow. The detailed explanations and joking around kept me relaxed the entire visit. I’m lucky he is down the street, but I would travel hours to see him. Honest old school chiropractor with a heart of gold. Take advantage of his skills while he is still practicing.

I think because my neck pain wasn't sharp or severe, I had acclimated to it and didn't notice how it was always there, until it was gone. Just two months of non-surgical decompression has changed everything, and I'm grateful every day for the vast improvement. I could go on and on about Dr. Kennis himself, but he is great at both listening to you and giving good advice that is especially easy to take. I'd give him 10 stars if I could.

We have 2 dogs that are frequent flyers at MetroVet. Everyone is so caring with my pups and always helpful with my many phone calls with questions. My dogs are very nervous and we’ve had experiences with other vets where I wasn’t allowed in the exam room or they just didn’t seem to care about my dogs being comfortable there. Here I get to stay with them and they take things slow at their pace and give lots of good treats. We also go right into the exam room and never have to deal with other dogs being too close to us which is also a plus. My dogs love the staff here! ❤️
I moved to Boston in June 2023 and was referred to South Bay by our dog walker. From the beginning we have found the team and veterinarians to be compassionate, responsive and skilled on their care of our two dogs. Recently our 12 year old retriever mix has had health issues and I’m sad to say that yesterday we had to make the difficult decision to euthanize her. Dr Baker was so incredibly kind and patiently talked us through options, gave us privacy to make the decision, and allowed us to gather the family to be with our beloved dog as she crossed the rainbow bridge. I am grateful to have had this support during this sad time and going forward to care for our other dog.
Pinto is a very sweet dog with very high anxiety around veterinary treatment, specifically onset during the COVID pandemic. Back Bay Veterinary Clinic -- and Dr. Graham in particular -- has been SO wonderful in working with us to figure out the best way to make sure he is calm and comfortable so that he can get the care he needs! I recommend Back Bay Vet to ALL of my friends with pets, but especially anyone with a ~* special *~ dog like Pinto.
Dr. Wosko saw my cat Nala for a check up today. He’s extraordinarily friendly and did a great job with Nala’s exam (she didn’t hiss once being at the vet)! He’s also incredibly knowledgeable and gives very reasonable advice/recommendations. Overall, I highly recommend this clinic!
We were very happy with Dr. Chelsea. She had obviously spent time reviewing our questionnaire and listened to our concerns attentively. She thoroughly answered all our questions and explained the reasons behind her recommendations clearly. Everyone was great! The woman who checked us in was very accommodating. Slider seemed to have a rude fascination with Rita (I hope I'm remembering her name correctly), yet she was nonplussed and handled it well. As I mentioned, Dr. Chelsea was fabulous. And two other staff members even pitched in at the end to corral Slider when he attempted a jail break. Overall, the vibe was very calm and welcoming.

I cannot say enough nice things about Bond Vet , their Seaport team, as well as customer service. We opted to get some of our furbaby’s meds from Chewy. They emailed us the approval (regarding a RX medicine) at midnight! Probably only 15 minutes after we had asked. It’s a bit far for us now that we moved but knowing that they take such good care of our kitty, it’s worth it.

I was really happy with the service for the price and my dog got a nice haircut! They took good care of her and did a great job on her nails (which are a pain to do), they didn't skip her dewclaws either!

I am a long distance runner and after an injury I had knee surgery. Anna's work helped me tremendously. The swelling was reduced, I didn't have to take pain killers and I was able to start rehabilitation quickly. I am still seeing her for self-care and for relief after races.
I found this place on google while vacationing in Boston and I’m so happy I did. I get worked on often so I’m pretty good at knowing from the start if a massage will be good or not. Gigi’s massage was fantastic! I don’t typically do deep tissue because most therapists don’t know about pressure points and how to release any knots but Gigi knows her craft. She took the pain away I had on my neck and helped with the rest of the tension on my back. I’m sad I won’t be able to see her often but rest assured I will be back to see her once I go back to Boston.

I can’t say recommend The Method enough. I worked with Claire for prenatal support beginning in my third trimester until about 5 months postpartum. Each visit is completely customized to your needs and Claire helped me with everything from hip pain to pelvic floor therapy to wrist strengthening (a must for carrying twins around!). I was able to get back to safely exercising with modifications that Claire provided and she was always available via email/the app to answer questions. It was amazing to find a PT clinic that has so much expertise in women’s health and postpartum recovery - they were able to anticipate where I needed support before I even knew what to ask.
I got a knee injury, so I got an appointments for the physical therapy with Jake to boost my recovery. During two month of therapy, they made it possible to return me back to running, considering that I was limping before the therapy. I highly recommend Chi Harmoney Acupuncture. Have always told people about this spot whenever the subject of acupuncture comes up. Since originally seeing Stephanie, then moving away, I was forced to see a couple of different acupuncturists, and I think she is still the best.
I started coming here in April 2023. I had a whole list of issues going on, namely really painful and debilitating periods that were irregular. I had been on birth control for years, and when I got off of it, my periods became very painful, to the point of needing to miss school and work. I relied heavily on ibuprofen on days 1 and 2 of the periods. For two years, I thought this was just my new normal. But after coming here once a month for a few months, my periods have completely normalized again. No more pain and now my cycles are regular to a T! I haven't made any other life changes besides coming to see Bell. Their methodology is safe and effective, and in my case, curative. Periods don't have to suck! I'd highly recommend coming here if you are someone struggling with your periods or any other chronic conditions.
Dr cheng is the very best ! He's brilliant and kind and conservative in his treatment . He has your best interest in mind . He will do everything for you to avoid surgery if that's the direction other docs have recommended . As an orthopedic surgeon in China , he has more knowledge about the human body than just an acupuncturist would have . I was referred to him by my acupuncturist when I had a medical crisis . She said he was the best in the field and highly respected by his peers at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston . I attribute my recovery from the care I recover from dr Cheng and highly recommend him .
Dr. Lee is excellent. He uses various methods he feels work best after your evaluation to help alleviate pain. I felt results after only 1-2 visits. I want to give 5 stars but only giving 4 because during the week appointment hours are only 9am-2pm making it near impossible to get to when working full time.
I had coco as a therapist she was great. Very relaxing I’m definitely going back that’s for sure. The price was reasonable as well
I came to Boston for a week trip, and I basically need to walk around Boston. I chose Beijing spa and enjoyed a one-hour foot spa and one-hour body work. It was very professional and clean. Wolin is a great driving instructor, he always answered all of the questions I had. They even allowed me to take off the hour driving lessons to accommodate my schedule.
