“What's my "why" for training with Pamela at Darwin Fitness?A personal trainer is only as good as how well they do their homework (your history, joints, hormones, what motivates you, when to push you, and days you may need to dial it back etc . . .).  Pamela is not a one size fits all trainer and I appreciate that because my reason for seeking out a personal trainer in midlife is very different than when I was in my late 20s and early 30s. Back then I did not have some of the injuries that I have accumulated over the years. Today as a working mom, I require workouts that are efficient and effective. Pamela thoughtfully designs my workouts "for me." I recall a particularly tough week at work how cathartic it was that she included boxing in our session.  Pamela mentioned that she created my workout on Sunday and there was no way for her to know that it was just what I needed that week but I think there is a certain intuitiveness and synchronicity that comes with taking the time to truly get to know your clients where you can anticipate their needs.  I am never fearful that I will injure/reinjure myself. I have seen tremendous gains in my energy level, conditioning and muscle tone.  I am able to enjoy activities that I once loved stronger than ever before such as rollerblading, hiking/walking, headstands in yoga etc . . . In addition, the nutrition support provided at Darwin Fitness and sense of community will keep you encouraged and coming back for more.“

“I was diagnosed with osteoporosis 2 years ago and was told by my doctor that my only options were to go on meds (with possibly terrible side effects) or get worse. I decided instead to revamp my diet with a nutritionist, who also advised me to find a personal trainer who is knowledgeable about dealing with this issue. Through my research, I found One Body Personal Training on Facebook with reviews from people who have the same condition. Best decision I've made health-wise in a very long time! Since last December, David has worked with me to build up my strength, and I've made a great deal of steady progress. I have much more energy and feel stronger every week. He has also helped me deal with my lower back pain. The gym is very clean, and the machines are all well maintained. “I came in as a retired athlete who was intimidated with the reputation of a “cross fit” gym. From the moment I stepped inside, Joey and Dr Nate were so helpful guiding me through the process and finding me a plan that worked for me (very affordable and wonderful add on benefits). The verity of classes fits great for anyone, especially for me who works an 8-5. After a week of classes, I was beyond satisfied with my choice. All the coaches have taken the time to teach me and make me feel confident while learning a brand new sport. They have cheered me on and pushed me to my limits and I couldn’t be more satisfied with my experience so far.
