“Had the system for over a year now and was glad they were able to get everything submitted by NEM2 deadline during a crazy busy time. The installation was professional and the office was very helpful. The one regret was accepting plans for an adequate sized system after requesting to upsize for future since we already conserved and wanted to add for electric vehicle charging and other. Salesperson Sean still based on prior billing history and was more interested in getting reviews posted, so here it is. First year had a true up bill without increasing usage much. We added a small plug n play hot tub last month and the true up shot up $200 for the one month. Yes they are not efficient but also made it clear I was wanting a larger sized system to accommodate and was worried about missing the deadline at the time so did not push to change the design. Save the frustration and insist on additional panels if that's what you want.“

Steve came to give us an estimate and he provided a lot of good information about what they do, the GAF products they use and the great GAF warranty. Their price is also reasonable. After the meeting, I contacted him a few times with some questions and he was always available. Two months later, their crew started working on our roof. Everything went smoothly and there was no surprise. They finished the job in less than 5 days and cleaned up everything before they left. “Terrence did a great job repairing the portion of the roof that had tiles shifted out of place because the sideboard the tiles attached to was warped. He delivered the lumber for me to paint a few days before the repair job. He did the work expertly and efficiently. He put in new underlayment and did touch up paint on the lumber. He was also nice enough to paint a short down sprout that had some rust. His quoted price is competitive, and he paid attention to details, and cleaned up after the job was done. “Since we bought our house we had not yet hired anyone to do a professional gutter cleaning. After realizing we can't reach all the places we need to without getting on the roof, we decided to find someone to do it. Our experience with Gutterman was great. I reached out to them with some questions and got help on the phone immediately. They came through with a virtual estimate very quickly after that. They then scheduled us for many weeks out- which I was not surprised since winter was here already. But, fortunately for us, within under 2 weeks they were able to fit us in due to a last minute cancellation in the area. They were also able to do some minor repair work we knew we needed when we agreed to pay a little more for that service. The team that came out was very courteous and professional. We felt comfortable with them and the work they did. We had our roof tiles checked after they were here since this year we also had a bunch of solar work done- and the roof repair man did not find any damage- he said everything looked great. We will definitely call Gutterman the next time we need our gutters cleaned!“

“Our 18 year old Monier Lifetile Cedarlite roof had many broken tiles due to its inherent fragility and foot traffic from painters and solar equipment installers. Most roofers that we contacted refused to work on it because of its fragility. We eventually found 3 roofers who made bids (one without even going up on the roof!). We chose California Custom Contractors (CCC) because the owner, Greg Meo did a thorough inspection which he documented with photographs. His proposal, again carefully documented with photographs of the proposed repairs, was not the cheapest of the 3 but its thoroughness and Greg's obvious experience with Cedarlite tile roofs (again, more photos of past jobs) made the choice clear. We learned that CCC does not install new roofs but only does repairs.CCC cleaned moss and other debris from the roof, replaced and painted all pipe flashings, replaced all broken tiles and installed metal flashing to replace the original cracked lead flashing. All of the work done was documented with photographs. Our roof now looks fantastic and we are confident that there will be no leaks. Greg and his team of 3 very experienced workers were a pleasure to work with and get my highest recommendation. If your roof needs careful conscientious repair, call California Custom Contractors; despite their generic name, they only repair roofs.“

“Halco roofing replaced my roof back in 2006. Recently, my homeowners insurance company requested proof the roof had been replaced. I located some old paperwork with a phone number, but I could not locate my final paperwork. Jennifer at Halco returned my call the same day, and by the next day had sent me a letter confirming the date, type of roof, warranty, etc. Everything I needed. Now THAT is service you don't often find! If a company is willing to do that, there should be no need to look further.“

“A. Mendoza Roofing just finished re-roofing my house and it was a good experience. They were easy to communicate with and the onsite staff were pleasant, considerate, and always left the area around the house tidy. My roof is pretty complicated, having sloped parts, flat parts, and vertical parts but they were able to do all the needed work. I got four quotes and Mendoza's was the most affordable of the three quotes that seemed to understand the work involved.“
